For Adrian Costa, owner of International Marble and Granite Enterprises, the journey into the stone fabrication industry began at just 12 years old, spending summer mornings sweeping floors and helping wherever he could around the family business. FLAT FEET: MORE THAN JUST A FOOT PROBLEM:

Flat feet are a common condition characterized by low or absent arches, causing the entire sole of the foot to contact the ground. While many people associate flat feet with foot pain, the condition can affect the entire lower body. Altered foot biomechanics may contribute to pain in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back. Some people are born with flat feet, adults may develop them from aging, injury, arthritis, or weakening arch tendons. Common symptoms include aching feet, fatigue during standing or walking, swelling and difficulty with physical activities. Treatment often includes supportive footwear, stretching and strengthening exercises, physical therapy, and custom orthotics. When conservative treatments fail and symptoms progress, surgical reconstruction may be considered. 1 bottle, standard size, of pinot grigio 2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider 1 cup club soda 1/2 cup ginger brandy 3 honey crisp apples, chopped 3 pears, chopped

DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients together and stir. Refrigerate for an hour or so (or longer) before serving. The drink can be enjoyed immediately, if desired, but the longer you let the ingredients sit and mix, the deeper the flavors will be. Giving it time to develop will make the drink more captivating and interesting.

NOTE: Regular brandy can be used, but ginger brandy gives it an extra kick of flavor.
