In this season of giving thanks, we often find ourselves reflecting on the many blessings in our lives. The true spirit of Thanksgiving encourages gratitude and giving back, with of course a focus on spending time with our friends and loved ones. Thanksgiving has always been my very favorite time of year. It’s all about so many things – all the special foods we associate with this time of year, spending quality time with family and friends and maybe some we haven’t seen in a while, the Fall weather bringing the change in our Florida weather to some even cooler temps, and then of course there’s football! But let’s not forget Thanksgiving is also a time of giving thanks, giving back, and reflecting on and celebrating our blessings and all that we hold dear. Our November issue is dedicated to stories of gratefulness and giving back to our community and to our surrounding communities affected by Hurricane Idalia. Cedar Key, Steinhatchee, and Crystal River are open for business and coming back stronger every day! It is so heartwarming to see the way these communities come together to help with the rebuild, and seeing our local residents and businesses reaching out in support as well. This is really what this time of giving and giving thanks, is all about. We are especially thankful for our advertising partners who help bring this magazine to your doorsteps each month. Without them, you wouldn’t be reading us. They are part of our vision and purpose of bringing inspiring stories and the good news of the community directly to you. Many businesses and local residents’ homes sustained extensive damage. The road to recovery will be long, but the recovery is starting because of this amazing community. The original L-shaped island, built-in desk, and appliance layout were not conducive to a well working kitchen. We completely rearranged the layout: switching the location of the refrigerator and the range walls as well as moving the sink to the island. We also added built-in bench seating for a spacious dining area, perfect for large or small gatherings and removed the pantry closet to incorporate a double oven and coffee bar. Keeping with the mid-century style, this updated kitchen is now beautiful and functional. "I love working with people and helping them find their creative side. I enjoy seeing different points of view on design and art and helping clients get exactly what they want and like." MONEY MEMORIES ON DISPLAY They currently have 80 different bills and notes on display inside their home in Gainesville, Florida. From Zimbabwe to Japan to Egypt, the couple has collected hundreds of pieces of money.

Diane leads a monthly presentation featuring different countries and offering travel advice.
