Redeveloping Downtown Frisco, Creating 4th Street Plaza Plans Progress Frisco city officials hosted a public open house/‘come and go’ event to share exhibits that feature preliminary renderings depicting a 'reimagined' downtown designed to be more pedestrian friendly. Revitalizing the Rail District has been a goal of city officials since Frisco’s 2015 comprehensive plan. Future project updates will be shared online from city staffers at FriscoTexas.gov/1599/ Downtown-Street-Improvements-and-Plaza-P. The new construction is estimated to wrap up just before the 2026 World Cup.

Medical City Frisco Welcomes New CEO Medical City Healthcare officials named Christina Mathis as the group's new chief executive officer for Medical City Frisco at 5500 Frisco Square Blvd. Previously, she served as chief operating officer for Medical City Plano, directing the oversight of primary services, including surgery, trauma, burn, campus improvement projects and facility operations. She holds a master's degree in health care administration and a bachelor's degree in human development and family sciences.

"I have the best job in the world," declares one Frisco-headquartered reproductive endocrinologist. "It's amazing to see people grow their families, and wonderful to be able to help them." Dorette Noorhasan, M.D., is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and serves as CCRM Fertility Dallas-Fort Worth’s medical director and co-founder at 8380 Warren Parkway, Ste. 201, in Frisco. "When there's nothing someone wants more than to start or grow their family, fertility issues are the most frustrating and heartbreaking obstacles to encounter. But fortunately, there is hope," she says.
As a fertility doctor who struggled through her own journey to motherhood, Dr. Noorhasan confirms she knows what it's like to be on both sides of an exam table and to walk that hard-to-navigate type of life path. Her most recent book, The Fertility Manual: Reproductive Options for Your Family, draws upon her unique bank of knowledge and experience to explore all the options. Known as one of the most qualified, experienced fertility specialists in North Texas, Dr. Noorhasan guides readers through fertility testing and treatments in language that's easy for those without a medical background

With its recently announced upgrade to an ATP 500-level tournament, the Dallas Open will usher in pro tennis players from around the world to Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, starting in 2025. The art of 20 artists, chosen from more than 200 submissions, are on view between 3rd and 5th Streets in the Rail District through Feb. 25, 2024. City officials state this unique opportunity functions as an outdoor, walkable gallery experience, and is a testament to the incredible art created in Frisco and the surrounding area. Artscape was organized in collaboration with the Downtown Advisory Board members. The artwork selection committee reportedly consisted of members of the Downtown Advisory Board, Public Art Board and Parks & Recreation Board.

Reservations For Two Dreamy destinations for couples looking to get away.
Finding a life partner just might be easier than finding someone you can travel with. Pace, patience and priorities all matter when organizing itineraries, straddling time zones and navigating new places. Do you like languid mornings with room service, wide sandy beaches and white-glove service? Or, do you prefer watching the sunrise in hiking boots, launching into eye-opening excursions and digging to find that hidden gem of a restaurant that serves local food to locals? When the stars align, both partners have an affinity for generally the same kind of vacation, or are willing to compromise. Enjoying travel with your mate is the icing on the (wedding) cake. Here are a few ideas for fabulously romantic getaways. Bon Voyage!
Traveling can be as stressful as it is sublime. Exhausting as it is inspiring. Traveling as a couple requires additional planning and communication with a healthy dose of patience. Much like marriage! But, waking up in a faraway place, exploring unknown terrain together and leaving your routine and all its trappings behind can be therapeutic. You both can take on new roles and release tired habits.

Take turns charting a course for the day. On day one, you check museum opening times, get the timed tickets and find a nearby spot for a healthy lunch. On day two, you sit back and let your partner call the Uber and source out the perfect shopping district, walking distance to a park. Enjoy the ride, either way.

what you need
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 4 large eggs
what you do 1. Mound the flour in the center of a work surface with a well in the middle. Crack the eggs into the well and beat with a fork until smooth, then work flour into eggs with the fork. Use a bench scraper to work in the rest of the flour a little at a time. When the flour is incorporated, form the dough with your hands into a rounded mass for kneading. Lightly dust your workspace with flour and knead dough about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Cover dough with a bowl or plastic wrap and rest 1 1/2 hours, or chill overnight. 2. To roll by hand, flour a clean work surface. Vigorously roll dough to a very thin circle and roll constantly with even pressure as it stretches for several minutes until as thin as possible, almost translucent. 3. To cut by hand, lightly fold sheets one at a time into thirds and cut to desired thickness. Recipe from MarthaStewart.com.

Dark Chocolate Truffles what you need 1/2 cup heavy cream 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 cup cocoa powder, for dusting
what you do 1. Bring the cream to just a simmer in a saucepan over low heat. Pour the cream over the chocolate in a bowl and let stand about 10 minutes to melt the chocolate. Add the vanilla, stir until smooth and set aside to cool for 1 hour at room temperature. 2. Beat chocolate at medium speed until thick and light-colored. Spread over the bottom of a baking dish, smooth and refrigerate 2 hours until firm. 3. Pour cocoa powder onto a deep plate or shallow bowl, and using a melon baller or small ice cream scoop, scoop out balls of chocolate. Roll in cocoa powder until coated and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Recipe from FoodNetwork.com.
