MOLLY'S CUPCAKES COMING TO FRANKLIN Molly's Cupcakes is soon going to be calling Franklin home. The Chicago-based bakery is planning to open a storefront in the Cool Springs Galleria sometime this spring. Molly's is famous for it's center-filled cupcakes with flavors like cake batter, creme brûlée, peanut butter Nutella, cookie monster, peach cobbler, and many more. Molly's bakes their cupcakes from scratch in small batches everyday. The cupcakerie is named after founder Johnny Nicolaides' third grade teacher who baked cupcakes for her students when someone had a birthday. A portion of their profits are donated to schools in the community where they have locations including New York, Cincinnati and Iowa City. Mollyscupcakes.com
THE TENNIS STORE UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP The Tennis Store of Franklin located at 545 Cool Springs Blvd., has recently changed ownership. The store, previously owned by Babs & Edward Leddy has been purchased by Maria & Len Dinoia of Franklin. The Leddy’s have owned The Tennis Store since 2015, but have decided to begin their retirement. “For the last six years, we have thoroughly enjoyed serving the community, but it’s time to pass the baton. We’re delighted The Dinoias have taken over the business. With Len’s entrepreneurial spirit and Maria’s marketing experience, as well as their enjoyment of tennis, it was a natural fit," says Edward. “We are thrilled to be taking over The Tennis Store from the Leddy’s. They have run the store quite successfully over the last few years and we hope to not only continue that success, but to grow it. We look forward to becoming an integral part of the local tennis community,” says Len. The Tennis Store of Franklin carries an extensive selection of tennis apparel, equipment, racquets, bags, shoes, and accessories, along with pickleball paddles, balls and accessories. FOR EVERY MINUTE SPENT ORGANIZING, AN HOUR IS EARNED. --BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Williamson County native, Kemble Land, has always had a passion for organizing. After years of assisting top executives, she listened to the advice of family and friends and decided to start her own business. She traded in organizing travel & calendars for organizing homes and helping clients create functional spaces that make their everyday life more productive. Simply Contained is a full-service, professional organizing company. Kemble puts those skills to great use by helping individuals and families bring order to their homes. She organizes everything from closets and pantries to whole kitchens, offices, and playrooms. “The business has grown quickly, and I couldn’t be happier! It is a physically demanding, 24/7 job, but it is so rewarding. To see the look on someone’s face when I reveal the organized space is just priceless. To know that I have helped someone, relieved their stress and created something that will make their life easier, feels absolutely amazing each time.”

Kemble adds that she loves the challenge each new client presents. “No two projects are alike, and I take pride in designing a custom organizational system that will fit an individual client or family’s specific needs. My ultimate goal is to create a system that is functional and something families can maintain after I leave.” Kemble states that whether she’s helping her clients reclaim their space, set-up their new home, or creating organizational systems for them, being organized will create a home that is functional and allow time for what is important to her clients.

Now that the holiday season is upon us, it can get chaotic. Here are a few of Kemble’s tips to get us organized for the holidays and create a bit of calm in the chaos. 1. Discard any decor you haven’t used in a couple of years. If it’s in good shape, donate it to a local charity so someone else can enjoy it. 2. Protect your holiday decor. Shop the many great storage solutions available for ornaments, garlands, and wreaths. Store sentimental ornaments with care in containers with individual compartments. No individual wrapping is required! If you only purchase one new storage item this holiday season, buy one of these and thank me later. 3. A fun way to organize your gift wrapping supplies is with a gift wrap cart. They don’t take up a lot of space, and you can customize it to fit your needs. I like to keep a Christmas cart and add another cart for special occasions like Birthday, Wedding, and Baby. Everything you need will be right at your fingertips! SimplyContainedNashville.com

HOW TO AFFORD THAT EUROPEAN VACATION NOW THAT BORDERS ARE REOPENING
ARTICLE BY BY KATHY WILLIAMS
FROM THE MOMENT I SAW MY FIRST LILTING COMMERCIAL ABOUT THE JOYS OF A VIKING RIVER CRUISE, I HAVE BEEN DREAMING OF SITTING ON A SMALL-SHIP BALCONY WATCHING THE ROLLING EUROPEAN LANDSCAPE GO BY. And finally, that day is here! What did it take to get here? Well, 62 years and a new husband for me, but that is another story. There are a few things that you can start doing today that will help you reach your dream trip now that travel is back:
ADD “TRAVEL” TO YOUR BUDGET – Every good household has a budget mapped out, usually for a mortgage, groceries, etc. If you have the travel bug, add a line item for vacation spending and open a travel savings account. Pay into this account regularly the same way you would pay any other bill. While this is an expense that might have to be scrubbed during tight times, it is very satisfying to see the result of consistent deposits to an account designated specifically for fun.
SEARCH FOR BARGAINS – Whatever your travel choice, always look for deals. Off-season travel is terrific, and for this fall trip, I am saving almost 40% by not traveling during peak time. Additionally, since the pandemic forced the postponement of

CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE – For big-ticket Viking River Cruise-type vacations, planning is critical. In addition to saving, make sure that you ask questions like “one big trip or four little trips?” or “Europe or Costa Rica?” and ensure all participants agree. After you have written the check and boarded the plane, it is not the time to find out your spouse really wanted to go to Six Flags!

When it’s finally Saturday night and you’re taking your significant other to an upscale restaurant, you’ll be looking sharp in the blue suit jacket and white button down shirt paired with matching chinos and leather loafers. This outfit is meant to impress and show you care about looking your best for them. Another favorite date night option is a pair of jeans with a sport coat or blazer. Stephen is your local expert on men’s fashion and always looks sophisticated. He is greatly inspired by Ralph Lauren. Stephen explains, “I’m a chameleon when it comes to dressing. LITERARY THRILLER WITH A SOUTHERN TWIST ARTICLE BY GRACE LIBMAN
FRANKLIN RESIDENT AND FIRST TIME AUTHOR, JIM CHENEY ARE YOU A TENNESSEE NATIVE? Technically I’m a Georgia native. I grew up on the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, so born in Georgia, but educated in Tennessee. I have been in the Nashville area for about 25 years. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAMILY. My wife, Elena, a native to Franklin, and I have two sons together: Jack, who is 18 and Austin, who is 15. We also have three dogs named Dave, Howard, and Francis. We live in the downtown Franklin area. WHAT WAS YOUR CAREER BEFORE WRITING ALL IS ANEW? My career has been in communications. I started with Seigenthaler Public Relations in Nashville, but then moved on to Southern Land Company for in house PR and marketing. Following that job, I opened my own company Prufrock Communications. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON BEING A NEW WRITER? Writing has been a passion for me most of my life. It took me a long time to be disciplined enough to sit down and write a full novel, but I knew it would eventually come. Once it did, my biggest challenge was keeping up with the characters as they came to life. It’s a very difficult and demanding process, but the end result is very much worth the toil. WHAT IS THE WHY AND INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR DEBUT NOVEL? In one form or another, writers will tell you that they write because they have to. It’s how we make better sense of the world around us. This book was inspired in part by a vision at a rest stop on Monteagle Mountain, but it was fueled primarily by years of reading and absorbing how good writers create multiple perspectives and fabricate environments for those perspectives to take shape and evolve, or devolve as the case often is in All Is Set Anew. I wanted to build a book that took into consideration the rural environments of this region and the people who live within them — how they struggle and fail and struggle and fail again. And hopefully, when all is said and done, at least some of them can see their way clear. And if I have really done my job, I will have encouraged the reader to think beyond the narrative and hopefully that exercise will stick with them for a while. In essence, my writing the book should be secondary to the work itself. Therein lies the inspiration — to fashion something that is bigger and more impactful than you are.

Imani Sailers has been with the Nashville Ballet organization since 2017. She has grown in the company and was promoted to company dance in 2019. She is now in her fifth season of dancing here in Nashville.
Sailers attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she earned her degree at Jacobs School of Music.
ballet
advice
One of her favorite things about Nashville Ballet is the culture. The dancers are unranked and have a freedom to express themselves in all roles.
The best advice she ever received was from her mom: “To be myself because I’m the only one who can.”

GIVING BACK

ARTICLE ALLISON GIBESON PHOTOGRAPHY JANIE JONES
GIVING AWAY AFTER A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN LAST YEAR, LIFESTYLE PUBLICATIONS IS GIVING $300,000 TO RECIPIENTS IN NEED THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON AND BEYOND... AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
ABOUT SIX YEARS AGO ANNA SAROL, THE DAUGHTER OF A SINGLE MOTHER, WAS PARALYZED IN A GYMNASTICS ACCIDENT WHEN SHE WAS A FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL, BUT UNTIL LAST YEAR SHE DID NOT HAVE A STAIRLIFT IN HER HOME. The stairlift was made possible when Lifestyle Publications gave her family $10,000. “I watched my community come together to help me get this equipment to my house, and words can’t explain how appreciative my

family and I are,” Anna says. The money for Anna’s stairlift was part of a giveaway campaign from the company during the 2020 Christmas season that benefited more than 80 recipients across the country with a final distribution of $250,000 throughout the year. When the company opened nominations, they were flooded with submissions. Community leaders such as judges, police officers, teachers, nurses, social workers, mentors and readers like you nominated people that were in need of assistance. As the eyes and ears of the community, these readers were able to help identify people who might have
Anna Sarol
otherwise gone unnoticed or unrecognized. One such nominee was Kathy*, an aunt who is raising her three young relatives. The children came from an abusive situation, and Kathy, a single guardian, works tirelessly to provide for them. Nevertheless, the family was already living in poverty despite her working seven days a week when Kathy lost her job during the pandemic. She resorted to selling tamales to help pay the rent. When a case manager with a Big Brothers Big Sisters foster youth mentoring program heard about Lifestyle’s campaign and call for nominations, she quickly thought of Kathy. “When I shared the news that Kathy was selected and would be receiving $3,000, she cried, screamed, and was in disbelief,” the case manager said. “She immediately wanted to give back to me and the donor by providing endless tamales. This funding allowed the children to have a small Christmas tree for the first time ever. Kathy was able to pay her rent and utilities for three months, and the children were able to experience a holiday season in peace without financial stressors.” In yet another case, Emily* who worked as a janitor at a school, was a recipient and was struggling to afford simply buying groceries for her children. Before the ongoing difficulties of the pandemic even started, a tornado destroyed the school she worked at just a couple weeks before the initial shutdown in March 2020 which resulted in a loss of income for her. Emily was incredibly surprised and grateful to receive assistance from the giveaway. *Names changed for privacy

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GIVE AWAY $3OO,OOO This year the company will have nominations for the giveaway open from December 1-15, 2021. To submit a nomination, follow @CityLifestyle on Instagram and fill out the form found in the bio link. The amount given to each recipient will be based on need. The leaders of Lifestyle Publications believe God has blessed them with their company’s continued success, so they in turn wish to be a blessing and encouragement to others as they increase the amount of this year’s giveaway to those in need to $300,000 for the year.
