We have come to the end of a productive and goal-changing year, leaving your Franklin Lifestyle team feeling grateful and fortunate to be a part of this town. This year has flown by way too fast, but as we look back over this past year, it has been the community and partnerships with local businesses that have helped our publication thrive. Our passion and main goal is to bring all things local, covering unique stories about the incredible people that reside and work here, and most of all, the ones that give back to our Franklin community. When I took over the publication back in February, Photography by Little Nest I had no idea what was in store for this great opportunity. At Portraits. the time, I had also acquired Brentwood Lifestyle, which I have recently let go, to focus solely on the ever-growing development in Franklin. Knowing what is planned for the future of our community, I was ever grateful to bring on a superb business partner, Jon Golczynski. Already being a business owner for Franklin's Printing, I knew he would bring creative insight for our business owners, along with his infamous silly personality. Although this fall season has seemed like a whirlwind to us, we are excited and looking forward along with the unique and exclusive partnerships that we have built locally over this past year, to bring you the best in 2018! This month, we bring you the legendary Kenny Rogers, and his recent tribute in Nashville, performed by other legendary celebrities. This spectacular event captured his incredible career over the years and the people that he has made a difference for and impacted on grand scales. This issue is also our tribute to our readers and businesses for your constant support in this great community. JASON ISBELL IS NAMED COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME'S LATEST ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Acclaimed singer-songwriter and Grammy winner Jason Isbell will be the artist-in-residence at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for 2017. He will present three intimate and unique performances at 7 p.m. on December 5, 12 and 19 in the museum’s CMA Theater. Established in 2003, the museum’s artist-in-residence program honors a musical master who can be credited with contributing a large and significant body of work to the canon of American popular music. "The Nashville Sound" singer joins a prestigious group of past honorees that includes Earl Scruggs, Tom T. Hall, Kris Kristofferson, Vince Gill, Connie Smith, Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs, Alan Jackson and 2015 artist-in-residence Rosanne Cash. Ticket prices for each show range from $49.50 to $85.50 (plus ticketing fees). Ticket sales are limited to four tickets per transaction on a first come, first served basis, are nonrefundable and can be purchased at CountryMusicHallOfFame.org.

$105 MILLION HARPETH SQUARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY The Franklin landscape is going to look a little different with the advent of the new Harpeth Square. Considered the last significant development opportunity in downtown Franklin, Harpeth Square will be anchored by a Curio Hilton Hotel along with 150 leased residences. The project, which spans an entire city block from Main Street to Bridge Street and First to Second Avenues, also includes 15,000 square feet of retail space, 3,600 square feet of office space and a 597 space, five-story parking garage. The projected completion date is around May 2019 on the hotel side, with the apartments and retail components opened by November 2019.

There were several other impressive musical moments with Naomi and Wynonna Judd reuniting for “Back To The Well,” and an all-star group of Rogers’ former memorable opening acts paying tribute to the icon with a singalong performance of his 1982 hit “Blaze Of Glory." The group included Travis Tritt, The Gatlin Brothers, Kim Forester, T.G. Sheppard, Crystal Gayle, Lee Greenwood, T. Graham Brown and Billy Dean. But perhaps the most emotional moment of the night belonged to Dolly Parton, who teamed with Rogers one last time on their 1983 hit “Islands In The Stream” after surprising both Rogers and the audience with a heartfelt performance of “I Will Always Love You” to her dear longtime friend and collaborator. The two also reminisced about their friendship, which dates back to a Rogers appearance on her syndicated TV show from the mid-1970s—almost a decade before they first teamed up. The two also closed out their performing career together with the Grammy-nominated “You Can’t Make Old Friends,” a single from 2013. "I've done everything I set out to do," Rogers explained to Billboard. "Every goal I've set, I've done that, and there's
