Savoring the Holidays AS THE SAYING GOES, “TIME FLIES WHEN YOU’RE HAVING FUN!” and evidently it seems to fly even when you’re not having fun, as we have unexpectedly seen this past year, but we’ve all made the most of it! We can’t believe we’ve put together the final issue of Fort Myers Lifestyle in 2020! It seems like just yesterday we were sitting down to create the very first January

issue. As we launched this publication, we talked about resolutions and renewal— and here we are, preparing to do it again. There’s a unique perspective that working in publishing brings. While we certainly don’t want to wish our lives away, we’re always looking toward the future. Whether it’s planning our next issue or developing story ideas for the next year, we’re often already fast-forwarded to future months before the current month has even begun. The fast-paced lifestyle this industry calls for can often make it difficult to really settle down and absorb what’s going on around us and, before we know it, the year is over and it’s time to move forward again. So this December, we hope you take the time to slow down a little bit. With the holiday season upon us, we hope you make the time to take it all in. Enjoy your time with family and friends, bask in the magic of the winter season, reflect on past memories you hold closely in your hearts and keep the new ones you create in the present for as long as you can. Happy holidays, Fort Myers. We can’t wait to see you next year!

They have customer favorite Italian Amarone’ and Barolo and all the usual suspects like Cab, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Their best-selling wine over the last 14 years, both by the bottle and the batch though, is a special recipe wine created by the previous owners. It’s their Honey Red, a merlot, back sweetened with orange blossom honey; it’s great served with fruit and cheese.

INSPIRATIONS FOR DECKING YOUR PORCH
This unexpected look can make quite the statement and cause passersby to stop and take notice. Selecting one color to focus on may seem like overkill, but if done correctly, you can create a gorgeous dramatic porch that will be the envy of your neighbors. While you can absolutely choose to use a traditional holiday color like red or green, opting to bring accent colors like gold, silver, or white to the forefront brings about a look of chic sophistication.

An exceptionally convenient reason for using these colors is that you can incorporate objects and textiles you already own and have around your house to create this look.
