Kids Soar at Cross Therapy Services
Partnering with families to unlock your child’s full potential since 1998.
At Cross Therapy, our mission is to provide exceptional, compassionate care to the children and families who place their trust in us. We partner closely with parents and caregivers, meeting each child’s unique needs with skill, kindness, and respect. Together, we help children build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to thrive— celebrating every milestone along the way.
Occupational Therapy helps children gain independence in everyday life. We focus on the skills kids need to play, learn, and take care of themselves with confidence. This can include developing fine motor and handwriting skills, improving sensory processing, improving attention and executive functioning, and building independence with daily activities like dressing, feeding, and grooming. We also support social interaction, coordination, strength, and endurance. Our holistic approach ensures that the skills children learn in therapy carry over into real-life situations.
Physical Therapy helps kids move through their world with strength and confidence. We work on
balance, posture, coordination, and motor skills so children can fully participate in the activities they love. Whether it’s keeping up with friends on the playground, joining family adventures, or sitting comfortably and ready to learn at school, physical therapy lays the foundation for lifelong movement and independence.
Speech Therapy supports children in becoming confident communicators. Our goal is to help kids express themselves, understand others, and connect socially. Therapy can focus on speech sounds, language development, fluency, voice, AAC devices and social communication skills like turn taking and body language. We also address feeding and swallowing challenges, as well as reading and spelling when needed. Because communication is more than just talking, we help children build the skills they need to connect with the world around them.
Every child deserves the chance to feel capable, confident, and understood — and we’re here to help make that happen.

Built on Purpose, Rooted in Community
Dear Fayetteville,
Welcome to our March, Home Issue!
When I embarked on launching Fayetteville City Lifestyle, I knew I wanted to be able to integrate into the fabric of this city, with hopes of eventually becoming a cornerstone in town. To achieve this, our earliest partners took a chance on me and showed up with trust and enthusiasm for the vision and I must say, the journey has been noth ing short of grace in action over time. When you have solid partners, a clear mission, and a community like Fayetteville behind you are building on a foundation that lasts.
Our mission has always been simple: to empower people to use their God-given gifts. When that mission is directed toward community, this magazine becomes a platform to spotlight those very gifts in action. That’s what this Home Issue is all about, foundations built with purpose, and the people in our community who are building them with heart.
We open the issue with A Bold Collab, where interior designer Andrea Brooks joins forces with artists Claire Pongonis and Matt Miller to redefine what it looks like to bring art and home design together. We then sit down with three Fayetteville’s most trusted realtors: Margaret Schloss, Christine Cook, and Gabel Realty, to get their grounded advice for anyone navigating the world of home buying in our market.
Then there’s The House on College Avenue, a timeless yet reinvented space that’s now home to Kristen Davidson’s aesthetics practice, a place where beauty and function meet daily. We also take a look at the mission and momentum behind Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas and their homeownership initiatives that are changing lives from the ground up. And finally, we wrap with Heirloom Candle Company, a small but mighty business on a mission to make your home feel (and smell) its best.
This month, may you be reminded that the best homes are built on solid foundations. It’s that foundation that allows our mission to stand firm and our impact to reach farther, story by story, one person at a time.
With Gratitude,

A BOLD COLLAB
WHERE ART, DESIGN, AND COMMUNITY MEET IN FAYETTEVILLE
ARTICLE BY MEREDITH PINKSTON | PHOTOGRAPHY BY MEREDITH MASHBURN
For more than two decades, Andrea Brooks has built a career as an interior designer known for blending her passion for collecting art with a classic, colorful, vintage aesthetic. Her spaces offer warmth and personality in contrast to the stark black-and-white minimalism that often dominates design trends. But after relocating to Fayetteville six years ago, Andrea began seeking a deeper connection to the local creative community.
That connection started with an idea: a pop-up art gallery.
As Andrea continued her design work, she became increasingly curious about how art could live beyond museum walls or quiet hallways. An early pop-up hosted in her garage for friends revealed the potential of the concept, sparking a realization that it could grow into something far more intentional.
To expand the vision, she reached out to others in Fayetteville’s art scene, including artist Claire Pongonis.

Andrea and Claire first connected in 2019 through a giveaway featuring Claire’s artwork for The Art Feeds organization. The relationship quickly took shape as they recognized a shared creative sensibility, often describing themselves as “the same vibe, different fonts.”
While their individual styles differ, their approach to creativity is rooted in curiosity and a shared belief that art is both an experience and an expression.
“We found this mutual love for art in this community,” Claire said, “for creating spaces that feel curated but also lived in.”
When Andrea invited Claire to collaborate on the pop-up concept, A Bold Collab was born.
A Bold Collab is a creative venture that merges art, design, and collected style through thoughtfully curated pop-up gallery experiences. The collaboration allows Andrea and Claire

to lean into their distinct strengths. Andrea brings her interior design background, focusing on placement and how artwork lives within a space. Claire contributes an artist’s perspective, emphasizing energy, cohesion, and deep relationships with both established and emerging artists.
Andrea and Claire began conversations with local artist Matt Miller about utilizing his Meadow Street studio space, where their first exhibition opened on August 11, 2025. The exhibitions will remain through May 2026.
The latest show highlights colorful work of eight local artists, including Matt and Claire, thoughtfully layered with vintage pieces curated by Andrea. Midcentury and modern furniture anchors the space, while accessories sourced from local thrift shops and French markets add texture and character. The environment feels vibrant and approachable, celebrating local creativity while embracing the beauty of collected, well-loved pieces.
Andrea and Claire approach the creative process differently—a contrast that ultimately strengthens their collaboration. Andrea describes her design process as intuitive.
“I wanted to create a new kind of art gallery—one that feels collected and lived-in, where contemporary art is layered with vintage pieces and found objects I’ve curated from Fayetteville thrift stores and beyond, styled the way I design a home.”
“My approach to design and art collecting is intuitive and emotional,” Andrea said. “I try things, move them around, and let the space evolve—that’s how I wanted the gallery to feel, too. Naturally collected and not overly styled”
Claire’s curatorial approach centers on how works interact within a space. She responds to the energy of each piece and how it complements the others, often meeting with artists and reviewing portfolios before making selections.
“She sees the world through an artist’s and curator’s lens, and I see it as a designer and collector. That difference is what makes A Bold Collab feel fresh, layered, and real,” Andrea said.
Claire’s own studio practice is guided by experimentation and material exploration.
“I love trying new things and pushing the boundaries of what could be done with my materials,” said Claire.
Claire holds a degree in fine arts and spent two years working as an assistant preparator at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. After stepping away to explore other paths, she returned to her studio practice and has been creating full-time for the past five years.
At the heart of A Bold Collab is a commitment to community. Andrea and Claire aim to connect to regional Arkansas artists with a wider audience while making art collecting feel accessible and inviting. That mission will be illustrated when Andrea’s home is featured in Art for Everyone, a book releasing this Spring, by Liz Lidgett focused on collecting art in budget-friendly ways.
The pop-up exhibitions continue to evolve, welcoming new audiences, industry professionals, up-and-coming regional talent, and longtime collectors.
“I think local art makes such a difference because it speaks to the environment of where you are,” Claire said. “And there is such a wealth of artistic talent in Northwest Arkansas.”
Through A Bold Collab, Andrea Brooks and Claire Pongonis go beyond exhibiting beautiful art, creating space for connection, collaboration, and storytelling that changes how art is experienced in Fayetteville.
“Since starting A Bold Collab,” Andrea said, “We’ve been deeply grateful for the support of the community, the enthusiasm of the artists, and the openness people have shown toward what we are building.

A FAYETTEVILLE Q&A SERIES FEATURING LOCAL REAL ESTATE AGENTS
MARGARET SCHLOSS, CHRISTINE COOK, AND GABEL REALTY
Home is not defined by square footage or finishes. It is the quiet witness to our everyday lives. It holds our routines, our memories, and the pieces of ourselves we collect along the way. As designer Nate Berkus once said, “Your home should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love.” In this Home Is… Q&A series, we sit down with three female real estate agents who understand that truth deeply, each offering a personal perspective on what transforms a house into a place that truly feels like home in Fayetteville.

MARGARET SCHLOSS
Margaret Schloss is incredibly kindhearted, the kind of person who naturally puts others at ease. In a process that can often feel overwhelming, she believes knowledge is power and takes care to ensure her clients feel informed, confident, and truly supported every step of the way. She brings both strategy and intentional heart to the table, balancing a strong sales background with a deeply personal approach to real estate. Margaret understands how to advocate and negotiate with clarity, but what truly sets her apart is the way she honors each client’s story. She believes a home should reflect who you are and what you love, and that buying or selling one is never just a transaction. With a calm, thoughtful presence, she helps first-time buyers, seasoned homeowners, and investors alike feel grounded, understood, and confident in the decisions they are making.
HOME IS…
Home is a place of peace. It is where you can be your true self. For me, home is my favorite place to be. It is my safe place, it keeps me warm and comfortable, and I am surrounded by the three people who mean the most to me, my family.
FIRST THING YOU NOTICE WHEN YOU WALK INTO A HOUSE?
The smell and the natural sunlight.
BEST ADVICE FOR FIRST-TIME BUYERS IN FAYETTEVILLE?
Before you start your search, be financially prepared so you do not stretch yourself too far. Know your budget before you begin. This saves time and helps you stay on track. Also, take the time to find an agent and lender who fit your personality. Not everyone is the right match, and that is okay.
DREAM FEATURE YOU SECRETLY HOPE EVERY LISTING HAS?
Laundry in the primary closet. It just makes sense. I have never understood why you would carry dirty laundry across the house to a laundry room by the garage.
FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD IN FAYETTEVILLE AND WHY?
Lovers Lane and the Canterbury neighborhood. Every home has character like no other. They all have their own personality, which I love. The large lots, mature trees, and privacy are things you do not find in many neighborhoods.
ONE THING THAT MAKES A HOUSE FEEL LIKE “HOME.”
Personal touches. In my home, that is my plants, photos of my family, and a latte to start the day.
Margaret Schloss
Christine Cook
CHRISTINE COOK
Christine Cook carries a deep sense of place with her, shaped by years of living, working, and building relationships in Northwest Arkansas. She understands Fayetteville not just as a market, but as a collection of neighborhoods, rhythms, and stories that evolve over time. Christine approaches real estate with steadiness and intention, helping clients slow down and see the bigger picture in what can feel like a fast-moving process. She believes home is where life unfolds, and that belief guides the way she listens, advises, and advocates. With a calm confidence and genuine care for the people she serves, Christine helps buyers and sellers make decisions rooted not only in value, but in lifestyle, longevity, and a true sense of belonging.
HOME IS…
Home is where your life happens. Your everyday moments, memories, and your sense of belonging.
FIRST THING YOU NOTICE WHEN YOU WALK INTO A HOUSE?
How the home feels. I pay close attention to natural light, ceiling height, layout, and flow. Buyers decide emotionally within the first few seconds of entering a home, so how the spaces connect really matters.
BEST ADVICE FOR FIRST-TIME BUYERS IN FAYETTEVILLE?
Work with a local lender, get pre-approved early, and do not panic. Fayetteville is a unique market with distinct neighborhoods. Having lived and worked here for decades, I help buyers focus on long-term value, lifestyle, and resale potential.
DREAM FEATURE YOU SECRETLY HOPE EVERY LISTING HAS?
Natural light, especially floor-to-ceiling windows, and some kind of outdoor living space. A porch, deck, or backyard that lets you enjoy the surroundings makes all the difference.
FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD IN FAYETTEVILLE AND WHY?
Downtown Fayetteville will always be my favorite because it is home. I love being able to walk to restaurants, trails, and community events. I have lived in several neighborhoods over the past 40 years, and each offers something special. Fayetteville has a rare way of feeling like a small town while still evolving.
ONE THING THAT MAKES A HOUSE FEEL LIKE “HOME.”
How the indoor and outdoor spaces support everyday life. It is about where people gather, cook, relax, and make memories.
GABEL REALTY
Led by founder Melanie Gabel, the idea of home is woven into everything the Gabel Realty team does. They believe that finding the right home is as much about people and connection as it is about property. Their approach is thoughtful and relationship-driven, grounded in the understanding that buying or selling a home marks an important chapter in someone’s life. With a deep love for the Fayetteville community and a commitment to guiding clients with clarity and care, the Gabel Realty gals create a process that feels supportive, informed, and intentional. They believe a home should reflect who you are, hold what you love, and give you a place to truly settle in and feel at ease.
HOME IS…
Home is far beyond a physical place. It is the people, memories, routines, and comforts that allow you to relax and truly be yourself.
FIRST THING YOU NOTICE WHEN YOU WALK INTO A HOUSE?
The natural light. Bright spaces instantly make a home feel more open and welcoming.
BEST ADVICE FOR FIRST-TIME BUYERS IN FAYETTEVILLE?
Get pre-approved before you even start browsing online. Use a local lender you can build a relationship with and be clear about your total monthly payment, including taxes and insurance. Leave room in your budget for travel, dining out, and savings. Then, choose a local agent who truly understands the area you are buying in.
DREAM FEATURE YOU SECRETLY HOPE EVERY LISTING HAS?
Storage. Walk-in closets, a pantry, linen closets, and an attic.
FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD IN FAYETTEVILLE AND WHY?
The Washington Willow Historic District because of its charm, walkability, beautiful homes, and close proximity to downtown, dining, and local events.
ONE THING THAT MAKES A HOUSE FEEL LIKE “HOME.”
Personal touches that make it uniquely yours. Favorite scents, meaningful artwork or prints, fresh flowers, and framed memories.

Affordable Housing
Manuel Stopani details his experience receiving affordable housing from Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas’ homeownership program.
ARTICLE BY WILL NEWTON | PHOTOGRAPHY BY MEREDITH MASHBURN
Habitat for Humanity is a national nonprofit whose purpose is to provide housing to community members in need. With a chapter in Northwest Arkansas, several families are selected each year to be a “Partner Family” for the affordable homeownership plan program. The homebuying program provides a unique opportunity for families to build and buy a home of their own, and pay an affordable mortgage personalized to their needs. which includes Throughout the process, Partner Families attend financial literacy courses and training classes that empower them with necessary skills to prepare them for the responsibilities that come with homeownership. Additionally, selected families are involved with the homebuilding process – as part of the nonprofit’s service requirements, selected families must meet a quota of “sweat equity” or labor hours. These hours range from aiding in the homebuilding process to other Habitat for Humanity-sponsored volunteer activities.
THE NONPROFIT’S SERVICES ARE REAPED BY A NUMBER OF FAMILIES EACH YEAR.
“Habitat for Humanity of NWA serves multiple families each year through our homeownership program,” said Samantha Keith, community and volunteer engagement coordinator for the nonprofit’s Northwest Arkansas location. “We are currently working alongside seven local families as we prepare to build their forever homes.”
Manuel Stopani, director of Youth Matters, and his family were selected for Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas’ homeownership program in 2021, and Stopani met with us to share his testimonial:
COULD YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR TIME BEFORE CONNECTING WITH THE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS?
I was working for the Mayor’s office doing gang intervention and youth development, but, before that, I grew up in an unstable home. I didn’t really have much structure, and I ended up being a youth-at-risk and eventually an adult-at-risk. I made some bad decisions that had some serious consequences, but God got ahold of my life, and that’s when everything changed. I actually went into Habitat for Humanity because I was taking juvenile probation kids to volunteer at the build sites. CONTINUED >
MANUEL STOPANI Director of Youth Matters
WHAT DID THE TIMELINE LOOK LIKE BETWEEN YOUR CONNECTION WITH THE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS AND BEING ACCEPTED INTO ITS HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM?
One day, I was with some juveniles that were volunteering, and we had the main director there. She came over there to speak with me, and she briefly explained to me what Habitat for Humanity was. My pastor had informed her that I had five kids, so she said, ‘Hey, if you want to and think this will benefit you, you should sign up,’ and she gave me the packet, and I filled it out.
I UNDERSTAND THAT, IN EXCHANGE FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING, THE NONPROFIT REQUESTS THE COMPLETION OF “SWEAT EQUITY.” WHAT PROJECTS DID YOU WORK ON, AND HOW MANY HOURS DID YOU COMPLETE?
The sweat equity is completed throughout the entire home build process. Whenever they are doing work on the land where they are building the house or if your house is already framed, you have the ability to come and complete some equity hours. For me, a lot of people from my church participated and we did the framing and the floor and the cement – along with a contractor, of course. We’re just there to help them. I completed 250 hours of sweat equity.
“…The homeownership program gives me the freedom to do things to give back to the community without having to worry about housing.”
WHEN DID YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MOVE INTO YOUR NEW HOME?
We moved inside in 2021. It took around six or seven months for the house to be constructed.
HOW WOULD YOU SAY YOUR LIFE HAS SHIFTED SINCE BEING CONNECTED WITH THE NONPROFIT AND ITS SERVICES?
Oh, the stability of having a home! Whenever you work for a nonprofit, there’s not a lot of financial gain, but the homeownership program gives me the freedom to do things to give back to the community without having to worry about housing. We do pay a mortgage, Habitat for Humanity gave us a loan that we are paying back. It’s not a free home, but it’s affordable. This program helps families – especially mine.
The Stopani family is only one of the several families that have received an affordable home through Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas.
“Our mission is made possible through community support and involvement. You can get involved with Habitat by volunteering on build sites or at our ReStores, sponsoring projects, donating funds or materials, shopping or donating to the ReStore, and advocating for affordable housing in Northwest Arkansas,” Keith said.

Welcome to The House
A LUXURIOUS NEW STANDARD IN FAYETTEVILLE WELLNESS AND CONNECTION
ARTICLE BY SYDNEY SULLIVAN | PHOTOGRAPHY BY EMMA NELSON
There are spaces you visit, and then there are spaces that invite you to exhale the moment you arrive. The House in Fayetteville belongs firmly in the latter. Thoughtfully designed and deeply intentional, The House is redefining what wellness, beauty, and connection can look like when they are brought together under one roof.
Located at 324 N. College Ave., The House occupies the historic Appleby House, a residence that has long been part of Fayetteville’s history. Once a private home, the building has been carefully restored and reimagined, preserving its architectural charm while elevating it into a refined, modern sanctuary.
Chosen with intention, its residential roots lend themselves naturally to The House’s mission of comfort and care. Every room is designed to feel welcoming, calm, and familiar, allowing clients to relax fully and feel safe in the experience. Soft textures, warm lighting, and thoughtful design choices create an atmosphere that feels more like a beautifully appointed home than a clinical space. The result is a setting that feels both familiar and elevated, offering warmth, character, and a quiet sense of luxury.
At the heart of The House is founder Kristen King Davidson, a nurse practitioner whose vision was shaped by both professional experience and real life. As a busy mother and small business owner, she understood firsthand how difficult it can be to prioritize self-care. Rather than accept that challenge as inevitable, she set out to create something different.
Her goal was simple yet ambitious: a place where time is respected, care is seamless, and clients feel
genuinely welcomed. At The House, wellness visits, lab work, aesthetic treatments, massages, and moments of rest exist side by side. Clients are invited to dedicate an afternoon to themselves, enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while everything they need is thoughtfully handled in one place.
“Life is hard,” Kristen often says. “But it does not have to show on your face.” For her, aesthetics and wellness go beyond treatments. They are about confidence, restoration, and helping people feel more like themselves.
Clients are encouraged to linger, connect, and settle in. The House is meant to feel like a place you would invite friends or family, not just somewhere you stop by. Whether visiting alone or together, guests are welcomed into an environment that prioritizes ease and connection.
While the space itself is striking, the true heart of The House lies in its team. Each member was selected with intention, chosen for their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for others. Together, they create an environment where clients feel supported and valued every step of the way.
From the first greeting to the final goodbye, the experience is personal and unrushed. Clients often remark that they feel like the only person that matters while they are there. That sense of presence is not accidental. It is foundational to how The House operates.
In a world where health care and wellness can feel fragmented, The House places a strong emphasis on continuity of care. Relationships matter here. By listening closely and building trust over time, the team empowers clients to feel informed and confident in their wellness journey.

“Life is hard, but it does not have to show on your face. Every visit is designed to feel restorative, intentional, and deeply personal.”

Time slows down inside The House. Appointments are not hurried. Questions are welcomed. Care is collaborative. The goal is not simply to deliver services, but to create an experience where clients feel seen, heard, and restored.
Fayetteville’s sense of community is central to The House’s identity. It is one of the reasons Kristen chose to live here and raise her family. The House is designed to be an extension of that community, a place where people gather and celebrate life’s moments.
From bridal showers and graduation parties to engagement photos and birthday celebrations, the space has been intentionally created to accommodate connection. It is equally suited for quiet afternoons and joyful gatherings.
Looking ahead, The House is committed to collaborating with other small businesses throughout Northwest Arkansas. By supporting one another, they aim to highlight the creativity, talent, and excellence that define the region.
The House is more than a destination. It is a reflection of what happens when care, community, and intention come together. It is a place where wellness feels effortless, beauty feels personal, and home is not just a feeling, but an experience.

Heirloom Candle Company
To Make a Candle. To Make a Memory.
A fun, upbeat, unique local candle store sits right on the corner of the heart of the Fayetteville Square, offering a creative spin on retail, inviting customers to slow down, engage the senses, and design a candle entirely their own.
Heirloom Candle Bar is a warm, inviting shop that is equal parts workshop and gathering space, centered on the idea that scent is deeply personal. Owners Adam and Sierra Hawkins took over the business last March and quickly fell in love with both the craft and the community it fostered.
Creating a candle at Heirloom begins with choosing a vessel, which is the container that will hold the wax. Each season brings a new selection of vessels in varying sizes, styles, and price points. From there, participants move on to what Adam describes as the most personal step: choosing a scent.
This step can take a long time, as you smell each amazing scent that Heirloom carries. They carry up to 40 fragrances at a time, rotating seasonally. Participants can choose a

single scent or blend up to two, experimenting with combinations, which is particularly popular with the floral-to-citrus-forward scents in the spring. But the process goes beyond simply finding something that smells good.
“When you’re making a custom candle,” Adam said, “and you’re working with scents and creating bonding memories, every time you light that candle, that scent triggers that memory. You get to relive it over and over again.”
Once a vessel and scent are chosen, participants head to communal tables set up for up to 24 people. Each station includes a scale reminiscent of a high school chemistry lab, which is used to pour in the exact amount of ingredients from the recipe card tucked inside the vessel that details the precise amount of wax and fragrance oil needed.
Participants first measure the fragrance oil into a beaker, then switch to a metal pitcher to pour the correct amount of wax. Heirloom prides itself on using clean ingredients; all candles are phthalate-free and made with soy, coconut, and apricot wax. The shop even offers a 100 percent beeswax candle in the shape of a bee, with a delicious smell of honey.
After pouring the hot wax, participants bring the vessel back to the scale and take a 100 percent cotton wick, sticking it in the middle of the vessel before combining the wax and fragrance oil.
The mixture is stirred for two minutes, after which participants can further customize by adding color or decorative elements. Candle colors range from soft neutrals to warm colors like yellow and orange, to cool, bold hues like green, purple, or blue. After selecting a color, the participants mix the color into the candle for an additional two minutes, the perfect amount of time to choose decorations. Candle toppings include dried jasmine, rose petals, and varying seasonal decorations.
The candle you create is uniquely yours, Adam explains, along with the candle-making experience.
“When you make your signature candle, it is yours,” Adam said. “And the process takes 30 to 40 minutes, so it is an experience of its own, but it doesn’t dominate your entire afternoon.”
The store fills a thoughtful niche, offering an experience that livens a day rather than consuming it, Adam said.
Beyond walk-ins and reservations, Heirloom Candle Bar continues to expand its reach throughout the community, accepting walk-ins and large parties. Heirloom will also come to you. Heirloom will bring a pop-up bar with hot wax and vessels for all sorts of events, including sorority gatherings, corporate events, and private parties. They also often host workshops, like the popular Sip and Wick events, a ticketed experience that couples tend to enjoy, as well as others tied to holidays.
Thrifty Thursday is another way Heirloom connects with the community, allowing the public to bring in a thrifted vessel of their choice or come in for a refill to create again, blending sustainability with creativity.
“This is a creative, family-friendly way to slow down, connect, and make something that’s completely your own.”
Adam and Sierra explained the excitement surrounding the business’s rapid growth, which they have seen over the past year, with more fun and creative plans for future workshops and a potential expansion into fragrance and perfume.
The final step in the customization process is naming the candle. Once complete, each candle stays overnight at Heirloom to set and is ready for pick up the following day.
The local shop offers a special experience not only in-store, allowing both reservations and walk-ins, but also by bringing its business to local parties, events, or pop-up bars for wedding receptions. It is a dynamic, creative way to spend the day creating both an item to keep forever and the memories that connect with it.
“Scent is key to setting an atmosphere. We try to curate our senses. That is what we do here. So that every candle, whether you made it or we made it, helps you set an atmosphere but doesn’t dominate it.”
A Take-Home Memory
At Heirloom, each creation is more than a candle, but becomes a part of your home, holding memories, conversations, and moments that resurface every time it’s lit.
