There’s something truly special about taking a moment to recognize the women in our lives who make the world around us brighter, stronger, and more beautiful. Whether they are our mothers, daughters, friends, mentors, colleagues, or neighbors, these women often shape our days in quiet but powerful ways. Their guidance, compassion, and strength leave lasting impressions that enrich our lives far more than we sometimes realize in the moment.

With Mother’s Day arriving this month, our thoughts naturally turn to the incredible women who have helped guide and support us along the way. Mothers and mother figures play such an important role in shaping who we become. But beyond our own families, there are countless women—teachers, community leaders, friends, and neighbors—who offer encouragement, wisdom, and kindness that leaves a meaningful impact on those around them.
This month, as we celebrate these remarkable women, I’d also encourage you to take a moment to support the many women-owned businesses that help make our community so vibrant. One of the most rewarding parts of publishing this magazine is meeting and connecting with the talented and driven women throughout our town. From entrepreneurs and professionals to artists, creators, and community advocates, these women bring passion, creativity, and leadership to everything they do. Their contributions help shape the character and energy of our community in ways both visible and behind the scenes.
It’s also a reminder of how important it is to celebrate one another. Sometimes the smallest gesture can mean the most. Take a moment this month to reach out to the women who have made a difference in your life. Send a message, make a call, meet for coffee, or simply let them know how much they mean to you. A simple “thank you” or expression of appreciation can brighten someone’s day in ways we often underestimate.
Our communities are stronger, kinder, and more inspiring because of the women who help lead, nurture, and support those around them every day. Their influence can be seen in our homes, our schools, our businesses, and throughout the fabric of our towns.
Here’s to celebrating the women who make life so much more meaningful. Happy Mother’s Day, and cheers to the women who inspire us each and every day.

Paige Souza didn’t set out to share playroom organization tips or practical style recommendations to tens of thousands of people online. When she started posting snapshots from everyday life in Fairfield with her new baby during the pandemic, it was in an effort to connect with friends and family who were missing out on getting to know her growing family.
Flash forward a few years, and the former elementary school teacher has amassed a following of local moms and fans from all over the world who connect with her genuine outlook on motherhood, no-nonsense tips on how to make it through those long days, and finding balance through it all. They delight in watching her parent her 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son while making space for the more humdrum realities of daily life as a stay-at-home parent.

“I like to think that I’m an open book,” she told Fairfield Lifestyle, adding that she’s shared her thoughts on controversial experiences over the years partially to destigmatize them. Using formula, having an unplanned C-section, and divulging details from her more recent health journey are choices that might “ruffle people’s feathers, but are things that people immediately can connect with,” she said. “It feels really heavy to share those things initially, but then I get messages from people who thank me so much for sharing. I just feel seen, and that’s the whole point.”
While social media might have its issues, Paige sees her role in it to help others and promote positivity. Some of her more popular posts have to do with finding joy outside of motherhood through exercise, mom nights out, dates with her husband, or travel. “Sharing that kind of stuff is also eye-opening for other moms because maybe they’re not in that season right now, but they see the light at the end of the tunnel and they’re like: ‘Okay, her kids are six and three, and I’ll be there one day.’”
She also offers many practical ideas that have worked for her while trying to, for example, change a behavior (get yourself a star jar), be crafty (ask ChatGPT to create custom coloring pages), teach a Kindergartener to read (repurpose their unfinished worksheets), or transition out of the napping stage (Paige’s current “Roman Empire”). Her 4:00 pm snack plates are the perfect way to stave off the witching hour, and when dealing with kids home on a snow day, she recommends bringing the white stuff inside for them play with on a sheet tray or plastic tub (spoiler alert: this may result in a few extra minutes of being able to enjoy coffee while it’s still hot). Paige is mindful about intentionally sharing tips that have worked for her, with the caveat that every kid and every family are different.
“If you’re watching my content, I don’t want to waste your time,” Paige said. “When you’re tapping along, I hope that there’s a link that will help you or there’s a moment where you’re like, ‘Oh my God, it’s a full moon. Thank you for sharing that!’”

“IF
YOU’RE WATCHING MY CONTENT, I DON’T WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME,” PAIGE SAID. “WHEN YOU’RE TAPPING ALONG, I HOPE THAT THERE’S A LINK THAT WILL HELP YOU OR THERE’S A MOMENT WHERE YOU’RE LIKE, ‘OH MY GOD, IT’S A FULL MOON. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THAT!’”

Paige also coined the “solidarity swipe,” where she quickly shares a story or image of something relatable that happened to her and asks people to connect, no further comments required. “Just swipe because you get it mom-to-mom,” she explained. “I feel like I can safely vent and then people can just swipe and then keep tapping. They don’t have to reach out to me because I also don’t always have the bandwidth to respond immediately, which makes me feel guilty even though that’s the whole point of social media: to be social. Sometimes I don’t want to be social. I just want to have the space.”
As her following has grown, big brands have taken notice. Through partnership deals, she’s been able to engage her family with her work as an influencer and help them save money for the future as well. But as her kids are growing, Paige is mindful about how they might want to be presented online.
“It’s such a weird thing to navigate because there’s a lot of scary thoughts around kids being exposed on the internet,” she said. “I’m at the point where I’ll show [Lily] every so often, and people who’ve been around for a while are like, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s gotten so big.’ That’s confirming to me that I don’t always show her, and I feel good about that.”
As someone whose platform was built organically, Paige also likes to promote local businesses as a way of giving back. “If I go somewhere fun with my kids or to a business that I know is going to help a mom in town, I want to share it,” she said. “Also, it’s hard being a business owner and word of mouth is so powerful.”
If you see Paige around town, don’t be afraid to stop her and say hello. “I may be caught off guard because my kids are probably around me and I’m overstimulated nine times out of 10, but it always feels really good when people have nice things to say about my content.”

With almost 20 years of experience working in luxury skincare, Greenfield Hill resident Rose Buatti knows a thing or two about taking care of our outermost layer. After earning a degree in early childhood education, she pivoted out of personal interest and trained at the pioneering Christine Valmy Institute before landing a job at the famed La Prairie Spa at the Ritz-Carlton New York. When her loyal clients began asking for her to give facials in their driveways during the pandemic, she had the “Aha!” moment that ultimately led her to convert her screened-in porch to a skincare oasis.
Word soon spread of her comprehensive yet luxurious approach, and her customizable services now book months in advance. Depending on a client’s needs, Rose’s offerings include LED light therapy, NuFACE microcurrent facial toning, hand and foot treatments, facial cupping, extractions, Dermaglow microdermabrasion, and sheet masks. She also is certified in Cellstory Liquid Microneedling and more recently began offering head spa services.
Here are her top six tips for accessible and effective skincare:
Invest in a serum: Clients like to ask Rose which expensive neck cream, cleanser, or moisturizer to buy. But the most bang for your buck will instead come from a quality serum that will repair and protect. “The particles are scientifically made smaller, so the technology behind it reaches deeper levels in the skin,” she says.
“Over the long-term, you will get more benefit from that. Moisturizers lock in moisture, but serums do the work.”
Use your hands: There are plenty of skincare gadgets available for purchase, but they usually end up collecting dust. “You could invest in a $10 Gua Sha or just use your fingers to do some lymphatic drainage and self-facial massage in the morning, especially if you had too much soy sauce or drinks the night before,” she says. This will improve circulation and rejuvenate skin by restoring blood flow. Best part? It’s free.
Break out the ice: Another free tip is using ice, whether it’s straight out of the tray or in the form of a frozen spoon. Applying ice can help with redness, pimples, acne, and puffiness. “It wakes the skin up as well as improves circulation, helps with lymphatic drainage, and brings down inflammation,” Rose says. “It’s one of the best kept secrets for acne that a lot of people don’t know. As soon as you feel something start to form, grab an ice cube and apply it off and on three times a day, and that will speed up the healing.”
Spray hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is an antimicrobial and antifungal compound that our bodies make naturally and hence something that is already familiar to our skin. Adding a few spritzes of it to your morning and evening routine—or anytime really—is basically “one stop shopping,” she says. “You can use it in your eyes or mouth if there’s a sore, and it speeds up healing.” Rose loves both the Hydrinity Hyacyn Active Purifying Mist as well as the Magic Molecule Daily Skin Spray.

“It’s one of the best kept secrets for acne that a lot of people don’t know.”
“If you are spending all this time and money on your skin, SPF is essential. It protects your investment.”

Treat internally as well. When thinking about skincare, many people forget that what goes into our bodies can also affect the outside. Rose takes a daily vitamin C supplement to “help glow from the inside out,” and advises her clients with acne to take zinc. She also recommends eating antioxidants, whether in the form of berries or other super foods as they help with collagen building and retention. “It’s a whole approach,” Rose adds. “There are lots of things you can do that aren’t just applying creams to the face that can help with any skin ailment.”
Don’t forget SPF. Rose says protecting skin from UVA/UVB rays year-round is the number one way to prevent aging. “I think we’ve all seen that image of the truck driver showing how the left side of his face aged 20 times more than the right,” she says. “If you are spending all this time and money on your skin, SPF is essential. It protects your investment.”

Lyme disease is a growing concern, especially during peak tick season. If you’ve been experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, joint pain, fever, or a bull’s-eye rash, you may have been exposed to Lyme disease. Early detection is crucial to preventing long-term complications. Prevention remains the best defense, and at Fairfield Family Health, we offer comprehensive support for tick-borne infections. Our approach includes medications, herbal medicine, nutrient supplementation, and other prevention strategies to help keep you and your family protected. ARTICLE BY SAMANTHA SCHOENGOLD BERANBOM
Longtime resident Joan Robb has always felt that Fairfield is a special place. She raised her children in the Lake Hills neighborhood and has spent 23 years teaching at Dwight Elementary School . Those two communities are the very reason she’s come to love Fairfield so deeply. The grandmother of three is becoming known around town for a new reason: she is now a children’s book author, bringing her love of storytelling to a whole new audience.
Q: DID YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BE A CHILDREN’S BOOK AUTHOR OR WAS THIS PATH A SURPRISE AT THE POINT IN YOUR CAREER?
A: I have always loved writing and writing a book has played at the back of my mind. I also love social studies, and this book really comes from a combination of a love of those two subjects, but also necessity. My entire social studies curriculum for the year is around Fairfield and Connecticut, and while there are resources that kids can access about CT there aren’t any books that a 3rd grader could read themselves that included the content I need to teach around Fairfield. For many years I’ve thought, I’m going to write that book!
Q: WHAT SPARKED THE CATALYST FOR WRITING A CHILDREN’S BOOK? WAS THERE A SPECIFIC MOMENT THAT MADE YOU THINK, “ THIS COULD BE A STORY ”?
A: History is a story and an important one. I always tell my students that they should aspire to be a kid who knows something
about the world. When you can inspire 8 and 9 year olds to get excited about social studies topics, it becomes part of who they are and their future interests.
Q: HOW DID YOUR EXPERIENCE AS A TEACHER SHAPE THE WAY YOU APPROACHED WRITING THE BOOK?
A: I think I speak “kid.” Having the story told by Mason, the voice of a peer, (also my grandson’s name) was the first decision I made. Adding the pesky little brother, Teddy, (named after my son Michael’s golden retriever) added the funny voice that I hoped would engage young readers. My nephew who recently retired as an NYPD Lieutenant, is also an artist. After retiring last year, he and his family moved to Tennessee where he is enjoying 30 acres of peace and quiet! I reached out to him after I’d written the first few chapters and asked if he would be interested in illustrating. He was immediately on board. I could not have done this without him. I think kids (and adults) do judge books by the cover and illustrations play a big part in carrying a picture book. My nephew Will, did a beautiful job with the illustrations.
Q: YOU HAD A BUILT IN FOCUS GROUP. DID YOU TEST ANY EARLY IDEAS OR ILLUSTRATIONS WITH YOUR STUDENTS? IF SO, WHAT DID THEY THINK?
A: I really didn’t. I shared the work in progress with my own children and one of my wise guy sons was particularly helpful with Teddy’s silly comments. I’m not very comfortable with the

self-promotion piece, but when the book went live on Amazon, I showed my current students, and they were wildly excited. “You’re famous!” one of them yelled. They also wanted to know if it meant I was rich! lol
Q: WAS THERE A SPECIFIC IMAGE IN YOUR HEAD EARLY ON THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY WANTED TO APPEAR IN THE BOOK?
A: I think the story of the burning of Fairfield was first in mind. That whole time period in Fairfield is so interesting and that particular event is pretty amazing and my students are always excited by it.
Q: WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT THE PROCESS OF WRITING A CHILDREN’S BOOK? WHAT PART OF THE CREATIVE JOURNEY BROUGHT YOU THE MOST UNEXPECTED JOY?
A: I think when you are writing about something you love, in my case, my town and history, it all flows easily. The amount of collaboration necessary between author and illustrator was surprising, but again, in my case, it was super comfortable because I was working with my nephew. I’ve always considered myself to be a strong editor, but because I knew the text so well, I found that I missed simple editing errors. A couple were caught by my nephew Will’s 7 year old daughter! I think being able to work with my nephew made the whole
process extra special. And of course having the finished book in hand is a thrill. I’ve had so many former and current students ask me to sign their books and that is a uniquely sweet experience.
Q: HAS BECOMING AN AUTHOR OPENED UP NEW TEACHING MOMENTS?
A: It’s funny, several of my current students are determined to write books now. I guess they’re thinking, If she could do it… I love that! Any time my kids are inspired to learn more or try something new, I’ve done my job.
Q: IS THERE A MESSAGE OR THEME IN THE BOOK THAT FEELS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR KIDS TODAY?
A: I hope the message is to appreciate the uniqueness of our town. From its history to its coastal location to its diversity, we live in a pretty special place. I also hope there is a message of what it means to be a citizen who participates in making where they live a better place, and part of that is knowing all about the past and the changes over time.
Q: WHAT’S NEXT? ANY NEXT IDEAS BREWING? IS THIS MAYBE THE FIRST IN A SERIES?
A: My ideas brew in the summer! During the school year I am fully engaged in my teaching role. We’ll see what this summer brings!
Q: WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR LONGTERM IMPACT AS A TEACHER AND NOW AS A CHILDREN’S BOOK AUTHOR WHAT FEELS MOST MEANINGFUL?
A: I always tell my students that my goal is for them to care as much about their learning as I do… and I care a lot! My message every year is “Be a learner and a good human,” because I think those two things lead to a good life. This past summer when I came to my classroom to set up for this year, I found a note scrawled on a white board that one of my former students must have written on the last day of the prior school year. It said, “Mrs. Robb, always remember, be a learner and a good human.” Moments like that are wonderful reminders that I’ve made a difference in a child’s life.

CREATE A LIVELY, NUTRITIOUS, AND TASTY SENSATION AT YOUR NEXT COZY PICNIC
ARTICLE BY KIM COSTA PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED
Have you been eyeing a breathtaking view or a luscious green patch near a waterscape? For special times with your favorite people, nothing says warm weather fun like a picnic. Follow these tips for preparation ideas.
Throw pillows are a must. Pull them from your couches or invest in outdoor pillows that can be used repeatedly. A large throw is also essential to protect from moist ground and grass stains. Bring your favorite tunes with one of the many available portable speakers or unplug and enjoy the sounds of nature. Cut flowers add a wow factor.

A cheese plate with fruit is the perfect start to your picnic fare. As with the cheese, your drink selections should coordinate with the main dish. For salads, pair accoutrements with the dressing in mind. A lemony herb vinaigrette dressing goes well with smooth cheeses and tart beverages such as lemonade, prosecco, or sauvignon blanc.
Enjoy your perfect picnic!

You don’t have to own a picnic basket to have a picnic. But if you do bring a basket, make sure to have some way to chill your perishables and drinks. Reusable silverware, plastic wine or drink cups, and plates often come with a picnic basket set, but can also be purchased separately. Keeping it elegant, but easy (and cool) is the key!

• Flowers of your choice
• Scissors
• Twine or floral tape
• Ribbon (optional)
Spring: the days grow longer, weather turns warmer, and the earth’s greenery starts to make its reappearance. During this time, flowers shoot up from the ground in a ballet of colors and movement. Walking outside becomes a cherished moment to breathe the fresh air and immerse yourself in lush surroundings. Being inside your home turns dreary and dull, everything that thrives is now outside, but this can easily be remedied. Why not bring some life inside? Make a spring floral bouquet to lighten up your space. Flowers add color and character to any room that needs a little lift, and our step-by-step guide will inspire you to create something grand.

• Decorative paper (optional)
• Bouquet sleeve (optional)

“Just remember, whatever way you choose to decorate your bouquet, you will end with a personalized piece made with love and care.”
Directions:

Step 1: When creating a beautiful floral arrangement, the first thing to do is decide on a color scheme and prepare the flowers. Have fun deciding what colors you want to play with. Perhaps go pastel for spring or match the hues to other decor items in your house. Once you have picked your flowers, you need to do a little prep work. First, remove extra leaves and damaged petals from the stems. Then make a fresh diagonal cut to the bottom of all the flowers. This allows each bloom to soak up as much water as they need.
Step 2: Now it’s arranging time — think focal and filler. The best way to start the arranging process is by choosing your most interesting or favorite flowers — this will be your focal point. Hold the focal flower(s) upright and add your supporting blooms around it. Make sure to turn the bouquet as you build so that the design is as desired. Once this is complete, add your filler flowers to finalize the look. Filler options include baby’s breath, ivy, fern, eucalyptus and more.
Step 3: Let’s get ready to tie. Once you’ve arranged your bouquet, tie all the stems together using twine or floral tape. If using twine, we recommend securing it in a small bow in case you would like to rearrange at any given time. Floral tape is easy to move on and off for this purpose as well.
Step 4: Add the finishing touches. At this point, you are almost done with your bouquet and all that’s left is embellishments. There are so many ways to further adorn your creation: one way we love is to wrap it in fun decorative paper or put it in a special sleeve made just for flowers. If this idea isn’t for you, we recommend going to Pinterest for inspiration. Just remember, whatever way you choose to decorate your bouquet, you will end with a personalized piece made with love and care.

After three decades in the beauty industry, where Jackie Fernandes honed and refined her skills while thoughtfully shaping a vision of a salon environment she felt was missing, one that fully aligned with her principles, she finally decided to build it herself. “After years behind the chair, I realized I wanted to create something that truly reflected my values; a place focused on teamwork, creativity, and a high level of service,” says Jackie. That dream was realized when, in 2007, she opened H Salon, creating the elevated atmosphere she always imagined, where artistry, professionalism, and a welcoming culture all intersect and blend seamlessly.
You can immediately see that Jackie has accomplished that vision to the fullest the moment you step into the beautiful salon. Chic, modern, luxurious elements typically only found in high-end Manhattan studios are expertly juxtaposed here with an ease and approachability that’s rare. The salon offers a full range of services, including
precision haircuts, color, balayage, highlights, blowouts, and specialty treatments. Jackie and her stylists have built a reputation for providing clients with a highly personalized touch, which is why clients keep coming back for their signature dimensional color work and customized cuts designed specifically for hair type and lifestyle. These distinct features, coupled with the highly talented and welcoming staff, set H Salon apart.
Jackie’s aesthetic is rooted in a modern sensibility. While she finds trends inspiring, she emphasizes the importance of spotlighting each client’s individuality by keeping the focus on their unique assets. “My approach to beauty has always been about enhancing what’s naturally beautiful about each person. I believe great hair should feel effortless, modern, and tailored to the individual.” Maintaining healthy hair is also key. “Consistent care, the right products, and regular maintenance make all the difference,” explains Jackie, who keeps her own haircare routine simple. At H Salon, she’s seeing a move towards dynamic color and softer, effortless cuts. She explains, “Clients are embracing hair that looks beautiful but still feels wearable and low maintenance. Lived-in color, subtle highlights, and polished but natural finishes are very popular. It’s all about enhancing texture and movement rather than being overly structured.” Jackie’s creative side is equally balanced by her entrepreneurial spirit. “Many people are surprised to learn how much I truly love the business side of the industry. Of course, I love the creative aspect of hair, but building a team, mentoring stylists, and growing the salon have been just as rewarding for me over the years.”
This ethos has not only created the atmosphere she once dreamed of, but also one she now cherishes. It is where clients become friends, and her team feels like family. “The most rewarding part has been the relationships I’ve built over the years — with both clients and the talented stylists I’ve had the privilege to work with. Seeing clients walk out confident and happy never gets old. Watching team members grow in their careers is incredibly fulfilling. After more than three decades in the industry, I still love what I do every day.”

The power of taste, trust, and the courage to “just start.”
She didn’t have a business plan, a media budget, or even a name anyone could pronounce. What Becky Hillyard had was taste, a young family, and the instinct to just start. Today, her lifestyle brand Cella Jane commands an audience the size of Vogue’s, she’s nine collections strong with Splendid, and she’s built it all while raising three kids — refusing to sacrifice one for the other. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Becky shares what it really takes to build a brand, a career, and a life you love. Read the highlights below, then scan the QR code for the full conversation.

Q: WHEN DID YOU KNOW CELLA JANE WAS MORE THAN A HOBBY?
A: Two moments. Women started emailing me saying they bought something I recommended and felt amazing — asking me to help them find a dress for a wedding. That felt incredible. Then I looked at my affiliate numbers for one month and realized I could cover our mortgage. I thought, I can actually do this. I never set out to build a business. I started it because I genuinely loved it.

Q: WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU EVER TOOK WITH THE BRAND?
A: Designing my own collection. It’s easy to point at items on a website and say I love these. But to create something from scratch, put your name on it, and wait to see if people connect with it — that’s terrifying. I had an incredible partner in Splendid, and women loved the pieces. It was the biggest risk and the biggest accomplishment.
Q: HOW HAS INFLUENCER MARKETING CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED?
A: When I started, brands didn’t know whether to take it seriously. Now it’s a legitimate line item in their marketing budgets — sometimes bigger than TV. Because what we’ve built is trust. People trust a real recommendation from someone they follow far more than a commercial. There’s no question about it now.
Q: YOU’RE A MOM OF THREE RUNNING A FULL BRAND. WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?
A: I try to get up at five and not hit snooze — that first hour before the house wakes up is the most productive, most peaceful hour of my day. Then it’s all hands on deck with the kids and school drop-off. After that I work — planning content, connecting with my team, editing. After pickup, the day shifts completely and it’s all about them. I’ve learned to protect both halves fiercely, because both matter.

Q: WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUILD SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN BUT KEEPS WAITING?
A: Don’t wait. Don’t wait for the perfect camera, the right strategy, or enough followers. We find every excuse to stay comfortable. Just start, be consistent, and be authentically yourself. The right people will find you — and they’ll stay.

Mother’s Day is the perfect occasion to treat Mom to a special homemade breakfast, and nothing says “I love you” like a plate of warm, fluffy Belgian waffles. These waffles are crispy on the outside, light and airy on the inside, and perfect for a delicious morning celebration.
CLASSIC BELGIAN WAFFLE RECIPE
Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 eggs, separated
• 1¾ cups milk
• ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks, then mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter.
5. Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it. Pour in enough batter to cover the surface and cook until golden brown and crisp.
Serving Suggestions:
Top the waffles with fresh berries, whipped cream, and a drizzle of maple syrup or chocolate sauce. Pair with a hot cup of coffee or fresh orange juice for a perfect Mother’s Day surprise.
This simple yet elegant breakfast is a heartfelt way to show Mom just how much she means to you. Happy Mother’s Day!
This Berry Bruschetta is a delightful twist on the classic bruschetta that we all love. This version uses fruit, bringing a sweet element to the traditionally savory dish. With the use of fresh berries, cream cheese, delicious fruit spread, crumbled cheese, and fresh rosemary, it is the perfect addition to your next spring event. This simple, yet beautiful appetizer could be enjoyed at your next brunch, shower or Mother’s Day celebration. But let’s be honest—you don’t need an excuse to enjoy this delectable dish!

INGREDIENTS:
• 12 baguette slices
• Extra virgin olive oil (for brushing)
• 4 oz cream cheese
• 1/4 cup Fruit and Honey Triple Berry Spread (or any fruit spread of your choice)
• 1/3 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
• 1/3 cup fresh blueberries
• 2 oz fruit cheese (such as Wensleydale with Autumn Fruit), crumbled
• Fresh rosemary for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Lightly brush the front and back of the baguette slices with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
3. Toast baguette slices in the oven for 3-5 minutes or until lightly toasted.
4. Once the baguette slices are cool, spread a generous layer of cream cheese over each slice.
5. Add the fruit spread on top of the cream cheese.
6. Add sliced strawberries and a few blueberries, allowing the vibrant colors to pop. (A great place to find fresh fruit is our local staple, Crystal & Rich’s Produce.)
7. Crumble the fruit cheese over the top for an added layer of richness and depth.
8. Garnish with fresh Rosemary if desired.
9. Serve and enjoy!
