LIFESTYLE LETTER

A Life Well Styled

September 2025 PUBLISHER

Kevin Kaseta | kevin.kaseta@citylifestyle.com

Style begins with vision. Whether it’s expressed through the layout of a living space, the way you show up in the world, the craftsmanship behind a custom piece, the generosity with which you give back, or the thoughtful curation of color, texture, and tone—true style reflects the way we live, lead, and connect. In this issue we feature 13 Hub Lane - an inspiring destination offering a breathtaking design studio and showroom where furniture, art, accessories, and apparel come together in perfect harmony. It’s more than a store; it’s a sanctuary of style, where design is elevated to an experience and creativity knows no limits. Every piece has a purpose, and every corner reflects the passion of a talented team delivering timeless, quality-driven selections with personality. We’re shining a spotlight on Ali Salimi, Founder of The Auto Accident Attorneys Group, who expresses his style through generosity. Whether by mentoring others, supporting local causes, or using his platforms for positive change, Ali shows caring about community and giving back is always in fashion. As students head back to school, Dr. Kimberly Seheult, Psychologist and Owner, East Cobb Counseling reminds "confidence is cool" and when youth are empowered to be themselves - awkward, awesome, and evolving - their confidence grows. That’s not just a fashion win; it’s a mental health one. We also introduce a local automobile enthusiast whose love for design and performance fuels a vibrant community of collectors and fans alike. His appreciation for timeless style, innovation, and heritage is as much about storytelling as it is about the road. And let’s not forget the power of a well-crafted cocktail— we toast mixologists who create unparalleled signature sips with a style all their own and flavors that simply are unforgettable. Finally, meet Miss Georgia—a young woman whose crown represents more than accomplishment. It symbolizes a calling. With bold faith and a heart for service, she is turning her title into a platform for leadership, advocacy, and authentic inspiration. In this Style Issue, we celebrate how personal style is expressed not only in what you wear, but also in how you live, how you give, how you create, and how you show up in the world. It’s the confidence you carry, the spaces you shape, and the values you lead with. Let's stay connected! Our team invites you to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up-to-date on local events, exclusive offers, and fun giveaways! Confidence Is Cool Dr. Kimberly Seheult

HELPING KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL WITH AUTHENTIC STYLE ARTICLE BY DR. KIMBERLY SEHEULT, PSYCHOLOGIST OWNER

20

I NSP IR E D BY | EDUCATI ON

“Confidence is cultivated when kids feel safe to explore who they are, not just what they wear.” A new school year isn’t just about fresh notebooks, the thrill of new schedules, or that “first-day fit” your kid begged for from TikTok. It’s about something even more essential: the return of the daily identity parade that is childhood and pre-adulting. And let’s be honest, school is less a runway and more a psychological jungle gym. At East Cobb Counseling, we believe style is more than just what your child wears — it’s how they show up in the world. It’s the way they express thoughts, ask questions, handle conflict, or wear dinosaur socks unapologetically in the 5th grade, or one argyle sock and one stripe sock (on purpose) in high school. In short: style is self-expression in motion. Style is how kids express themselves. It’s the quiet confidence in raising a hand in class. It’s telling a joke at the lunch table. It’s solving a problem creatively or asking for help without shame. And yes, sometimes it is accessorizing with 47 bracelets or a hoodie in 92-degree heat — because, you know, it “vibes”.

THE EXPANDED MEANING OF STYLE

Clothing may be the outer layer, but real style? That’s what’s going on underneath. Whether your child is 7, 17, or navigating college orientation, true style includes: • The way they treat others • How they respond to failure or frustration • Their curiosity and creativity • The confidence to be a little different • And how they align with their values (even if it’s just refusing to wear itchy pants) When students are empowered to be themselves - awkward, awesome, and evolving - their confidence grows. That’s not just a fashion win; it’s a mental health one.

STYLE AS CONFIDENCE, NOT COMPARISON

Let’s be real, comparison is not just everywhere, it can also truly be the thief of joy. In elementary school, it might be over light-up shoes. In middle school, who made the cheer squad. In high school, it’s GPA, GPAs, and who’s driving a new Bronco. And college? Try “Who’s already landed an internship and a fully monetized side hustle.” According to research from the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychology, self-esteem in youth plummets

when comparison trumps self-expression. That’s why it’s so important we shift the message:

“CONFIDENCE IS CULTIVATED WHEN KIDS FEEL SAFE TO EXPLORE WHO THEY ARE, NOT JUST WHAT THEY WEAR.”

This means encouraging kids and teens to own their weird, embrace their differences, and recognize that the most stylish people are rarely the most conforming ones, they’re the most authentic.

HOW TO HELP KIDS OF ALL AGES SHOW UP AUTHENTICALLY

• Praise qualities, not trends: Compliment courage, creativity, or resilience over appearance. • Normalize growth and change: It’s okay for a middle schooler to reinvent their personality every semester. That’s development, not drama. • Model authenticity: Share your own awkward style phases, career changes, or lessons learned from failing hard. • Create safety at home: Your child’s self-expression should be celebrated, even if their fashion choices resemble “wrinkled pajama pants with crocs.” Or on the other extreme, “$200 jeans that look the exact same as the $30 variety. The truth is, the bigger picture is not about jean or the croc, but the kid in them.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Back-to-school isn’t just a wardrobe reset. It’s a chance to step into who you’re becoming. Let’s teach kids of all ages that the best style is one that fits them. That the real flex isn’t fitting in but standing out. And that confidence? It’ll never go out of style. Lastly, if you recognize that your kid is struggling or lacking the skills to creatively work through the pressures of school, social, familial or sport demands, the team at East Cobb Counseling are here to help. East Cobb Counseling is located at 3535 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062. • Website: eastcobbcounseling.com • Phone: 678-263-4211

Blue Ridge Parade of Homes ARTICLE BY EAST COBB CITY LIFESTYLE STAFF In the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, where fall paints the landscape in brilliant color and cool breezes usher in a new season, an extraordinary event unfolds each October. The Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes is more than a luxury home tour—it's a celebration of design, craftsmanship, and purpose, where the region's finest builders open the doors to their most inspired creations. But what sets this event apart isn’t just what guests see—it’s what their presence makes possible. Founded in 2019, the Parade of Homes serves as the annual fundraiser for the Future of Our Trades Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting high school students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. With 100% of ticket sales, donations, and proceeds from a custom-built showcase home benefitting the foundation, the Parade has quickly grown into one of the most meaningful and visually stunning philanthropic events in the Southeast. This is where architecture meets impact. To date, the foundation has awarded more than $830,000 in scholarships, helping dozens of students launch careers in fields like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and carpentry. It’s a model that transforms

passion for home design into a pipeline for developing the next generation of tradespeople. The 2025 Parade, scheduled for October 17–19, promises to be the most impressive yet. Visitors will begin their experience at SouthState Bank in Blue Ridge, where they’ll receive credentials and a guide to the tour. From there, it’s a self-paced journey through an exclusive lineup of luxury homes—each a testament to the artistry and attention to detail that define modern mountain living. Expect to be inspired. From timber-framed great rooms and chef-caliber

A CELEBRATION OF STYLE, DESIGN, CRAFTSMANSHIP AND PURPOSE

kitchens to serene outdoor living spaces and sweeping mountain views, each home reflects the unique vision of its builder. Designers and craftsmen blend rustic textures with sophisticated finishes and smart technology with timeless style. No two homes are alike, and every detail—from bespoke cabinetry to artisan stonework—tells a story. Along the way, tour guests are invited to engage with the builders, many of whom are on hand to offer insight into their process. Sponsors and partners elevate the experience further, with curated moments that include locally sourced refreshments, design demonstrations, and pop-up hospitality lounges. This year’s event will also feature live music and art showcases, ensuring the Parade is not just a tour, but a full-sensory celebration. At the heart of the experience is the Parade’s signature project: the Scholarship House. Built collaboratively by a select group of

builders and craftsmen, this showstopping home is sold at the close of the tour, with every dollar going directly to fund scholarships. It’s an extraordinary symbol of what the Parade represents: when a community of talent and generosity comes together, beautiful things happen. For sponsors and business partners, the event offers unparalleled visibility among a discerning and philanthropic audience. For builders, it’s an opportunity to showcase their finest work to prospective clients in a setting that honors their craft. And for visitors, it’s a weekend of inspiration with lasting impact— an invitation to step inside dream homes while helping students build real futures. CONTINUED >

THE AUTO ACCIDENT ATTORNEYS GROUP IS BUILDING A LEGACY OF CARE, ADVOCACY, AND COMMUNITY CONNECTION

STILL PUTTING COBB FIRST! 28

M UST SE E | L I FE + C ULTU RE

WelcomeTo Your New Dental Home! When Ali and Jamie Salimi planted roots in East Cobb to launch The Auto Accident Attorneys Group, they weren’t just building a law firm — they were investing in a community. Celebrating an important milestone a decade later, their firm — affectionately known as The AAA Group — continues to build on its legacy of care, advocacy, and community connection. This top-rated team of attorneys has become a trusted name across Cobb County, Atlanta and beyond, not only for expert legal service in auto accident law, but for their heartfelt commitment to neighbors, families, and local life. With decades of combined experience, Ali and Jamie built their firm on two principles: specialized service and community care. The AAA Group focuses exclusively on motor‑vehicle–related cases including car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, and ride-share accidents. This gives clients expert, targeted representation. They also bring deep support to each case: from working with medical providers to managing communications with insurers so families can focus on healing.

True to their own signature style, the Salimis bring a personal, community-first approach to everything they do - blending professionalism with heart. Their slogan "We Take Care of You" is evident in all they do. The AAA Group underscores its commitment to community well-being by offering free, exp ert resources through the “Resources" tab located on their website. Clients can find everything from child car-safety and booster-seat guidance to motor-vehicle tips and property damage claims. It’s just one more way the practice helps individuals and families stay informed, prepared, and protected. As the AAA Group continues expanding—recently launching their podcast on The 3A Network to share “DADvice” and legal tips—they’re living proof that a firm can thrive with generosity and expertise side by side. But even with community outreach and digital growth, their goal remains the same: to secure full com‑ pensation for injured clients, with zero out‑of‑pocket fees. More importantly, family is an integral part of everything they do. This past Father’s Day, the firm showed appreciation for the men who play a meaningful role in the lives of others—fathers, mentors, uncles, coaches, and caregivers—by giving away a limited-edition “Dad” ball cap, free to anyone who requested one. “We wanted to honor the men who support and uplift families” CMO Holly Kull, Esq. shares. The gesture, simple but heartfelt, reflects the same genuine care The AAA Group brings to its clients and community.

Hosted at their flagship office in East Cobb - Marietta on Saturday, October 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. you’re invited to gather your neighbors, meet new friends, have fun and celebrate community. "No legal talk required,” jokes Ali. “We want to say thank you in the best way we know how: by celebrating the people who make this community special. This is our home and we’re proud to be a part of it.” Ink your calendar now and plan to stop by for as little or as long as you are able. To learn more, email holly@theaaagroup.com

Tucked away in one of Roswell’s most exclusive enclaves, Shahid Khan’s stunning 7,000-squarefoot residence is more than just a luxurious home—it’s a sanctuary for some of the world’s most coveted automobiles. Five of them, in fact. A self-made entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, Khan’s journey from humble beginnings to a thriving business empire is as awe-inspiring as the multimillion-dollar fleet housed within his estate. But behind the glamour of his exotic car collection lies a lesser-known challenge he faced: a driveway that nearly jeopardized his prized vehicles.

A JOURNEY OF DETERMINATION AND SUCCESS:

Born in the UAE, Khan relocated to the United States at the age of seven, first settling in Marion, South Carolina, before moving to Powder Springs, Georgia, in third grade. He attended McEachern High School and later enrolled at Chattahoochee Technical College, though his entrepreneurial ambitions led him down a different path. From walking dogs as his first solo job to co-owning a BP gas station with his father in 2006, Khan’s business acumen quickly evolved. He eventually found his niche in hospitality, building a portfolio of seven extended-stay hotels across Georgia. With locations in Marietta, Riverdale, Stone Mountain, Lithia Springs, Lilburn, Jonesboro, and Gainesville, he has redefined affordable lodging without compromising quality. His first property purchase in 2017 laid the foundation for his growing success.

FINDING THE PERFECT HOME

Khan’s real estate journey led him from Douglasville to the prestigious King Road in Roswell, where he found a home that suited his lifestyle and growing car collection. While the property offered the space and privacy he desired, its steep and uneven driveway posed a serious problem for his fleet of luxury vehicles. For high-performance cars like Lamborghinis, Ferraris and a Cadillac, a poorly-designed driveway could mean catastrophic damage—just one bumper repair on a Ferrari can cost upwards of $100,000.

THE DRIVEWAY TRANSFORMATION

Determined to protect his investment, Khan sought professional help to create a driveway that could accommodate his vehicles’ low ground clearance. After several failed attempts with other contractors, he connected with Heide Contracting. Pat Combs, COO of Heide Contracting, took on the challenge, completely redesigning the driveway to ensure a smooth and safe transition for Khan’s exotic fleet. CONTINUED >

The original structure posed an engineering challenge, as city regulations required the driveway to sit two inches higher than the street. Combs and his team meticulously regraded the slope, lowering it to achieve the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. Collaborating with Peter Wexel of Verified Outdoor Services, they used advanced mathematical calculations to execute a precise elevation plan. The result? A structurally sound, visually appealing, and luxury car-friendly driveway, complete with decorative stamped concrete that enhances the home’s curb appeal for any picture day with Khan’s auto collection.

A COLLECTION LIKE NO OTHER

With the driveway perfected, Khan’s passion for automobiles is now fully realized. Over the years, he has owned around 30 high-end cars, evolving from gas first basemodel 1999 Toyota Corolla to some of the most exclusive supercars in the world. His current collection includes: • Cadillac CT Blackwing (2025) • Lamborghini Performante Urus (2024) • Ferrari SF90 Spider (2024) • Lamborghini Huracan Spider (2021) • Lamborghini SVJ Aventador (2019), his favorite in his current collection.

34

A RT IST ’S PA LE T T E | L I FE + CU LT U RE

With an estimated total value of $2.6 million, Khan’s collection is more than just a symbol of wealth—it represents his journey, perseverance, and appreciation for fine craftsmanship. Beyond the thrill of owning these machines, Khan finds joy in sharing them with car enthusiasts, especially when he sees the excitement in the eyes of children who marvel at his cars.

THE DRIVE TO INSPIRE

Looking back, Khan credits his success to relentless determination and self-belief. His personal mantra is “Success isn’t given, it’s earned; Stay relentless, rare and keep moving forward.” These words have shaped Khan’s mindset and fueled his rise from financial struggles to affluence. Now, as a father to two sons, he hopes his legacy will inspire his sons and others to chase their dreams, regardless of their starting point. As for what’s next? While Khan is always on the lookout for his next exotic addition, one thing is certain: his home, his cars, his family and his story stand as a testament to the power of ambition, hard work, and the willingness to take risks. https://www.heidecontracting.com/

Finding harmony on & off the stage.

For Audrey Kittila of Milton, the Miss Georgia crown is more than a title; it’s a platform to live out her faith and inspire change. “My faith is where I find my hope and my joy. My relationship with Christ has given my life purpose. I always tell people that my life’s purpose and goal is to ‘Know Christ and to make him known.’ Anything I get to do is an opportunity to touch the lives of others, that is the ultimate blessing.” Her commitment to serving others is also seen through her initiative, Education for All, which works to reduce school dropout rates in Georgia. By partnering with nonprofits and speaking to thousands of students across the state, she encourages young people to stay in school and discover the value of education. “A high school diploma (or GED) provides someone with the chance to choose a career that excites them. I want all students to have the option to pursue what brings them joy.” With faith as her foundation and education as her mission, Audrey is using her voice to make a lasting impact. When her year as Miss Georgia comes to an end, she plans to keep serving in new ways. “I will continue to live a life that is focused on service. After this year, my role will look different, but I will get the chance to continue supporting students in my career field and in my personal volunteer work. The mission to make a difference will continue!”

If you have never walked into Aura Salon & Spa you are most definitely in for a treat! The mixture of style, beauty and fashion come altogether in one location right around the corner. Passions and talents sometimes come together to bring an extraordinary mix of people with shared interests that when working together can bring about something exceptional. Tara Miller, owner of Aura Salon & Spa knew she was meant to attain success and has spent twenty years perfecting her craft and meeting influential people in the beauty and fashion industry. Her passion for beauty and fashion took her to many industry events where she had the opportunity to meet like-minded people that spurred her creativity and created inspiration. One chance meeting would have not only a serendipitous effect, but create a lasting bond. Tara met Killian at one such industry event and they found that they had mutual love for fashion and beauty. Killian has been in highend fashion in Europe for over a decade and procured, Le Jeune, a luxury boutique and salon where he perfected his skills. Having styled many music artists and high fashion clientele throughout Europe, he built a name for himself in this prominent industry. The chance to collaborate was something that they both felt was in their future. Tara recollects, “The energy and passion between us was absolutely dynamic.” Tara invited Killian to collaborate with Aura, which would create a unique styling for their clients that was difficult to find elsewhere. “Killian has a keen sense for high-quality, luxury clothing, as well as the creativity to be on the cutting-edge of the latest fashion trends. Combining this with our knowledge of what the Atlanta market has been missing and the one-of-a-kind vibe that has been cultivated at Aura, it is sure to be a huge success”, says Tara. Aura and Le Jeune complement one another through a posh, highend feel. Together, the salon and the boutique located inside the space, are able to offer something special to their clients. Tara states, “Aura and Le Jeune offer the latest and most up-to-date European fashion trends that will help take your wardrobe to the next level! From casual streetwear, everyday looks to “runway ready”, glitz and glam, we have you covered”! https://www.aurasas.com
