Ringing in the New You
EDITOR
For many of us, this time of year is full of excitement. It presents us with a reset, new horizons, and goals to pursue. For others, January can be a reminder of failed attempts from years past and the burden of expectation that this year will be different. We approached this issue of Dripping Springs City Lifestyle from a mindset of not supplying quick fixes to check boxes in the short term but valuing what is sustainable over the long haul. We wanted to provide inspiration for making lasting, realistic, long-term improvements to your physical, emotional, and mental health. When it comes to anything in life—business, finance, food, home, and personal health—it’s not what you do some days that moves the needle. It’s what you do MOST days. Setting attainable goals is key. For me, it’s listening to positive music, catching up on a podcast while driving, and spending mornings in the Word after the kids are dropped off at school. I strive to consistently equip myself with affirmations or a self-doubting mindset will creep in. If I miss a day, do I derail? Do I quit? No. But, will I allow myself to miss a week? Also, a no. We all seek positive changes, but we must be realistic. For instance, taking a grand vacation monthly would be financially and practically unfeasible for most, but planning a few smaller trips throughout the year to have something to look forward to is doable. Having fast food and grabbing a candy bar from the gas station for dessert isn’t the best for your health; the reality of it is, this will happen sometimes. Just don’t let it happen all the time. It’s not the sometimes choices we make that have the most impact: it’s the most-of-the-time choices. So, plan the vacation AND have a killer work week. Join a fitness community like Drip Fit Moms or a local gym like Dripping Springs Fitness, AND enjoy that dessert you’ve been eyeing at Le Vacher. It’s not what you do some days but rather what you do most days that will lead to a more peaceful, filling, and fabulous 2023. Here’s to you! We’re rooting for you.

A More Holistic Approach to Health Hey there, neighbors. My name is Dave and I’m a dad to four amazing kids who’ve lived in Dripping Springs since 2018. It’s a community that we’ve come to love, and one that we appreciate more and more over time. I just can’t imagine living anywhere else. When I was approached about writing an article for the magazine, the pitch was health and wellness. It is January when gym attendance is high and closing the books on a year has many of us thinking “new year, new me” when it comes to better habits and routines. Since intentionally pursuing health has been a game changer in my life, I’m all for it, but
I’m also going to challenge how we approach it. A more holistic approach to health has been meaningful in accessing something far greater in my life. One of the most important questions I ask myself regularly is “how do you feel about yourself when you’re by yourself?” It’s a question of how much you respect yourself for honoring the commitments you’ve made to yourself. It’s the dignity that comes from doing what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. The way living in integrity with who you hope to become creates access to self-love.

“A more holistic approach to health has been meaningful in accessing something far greater in my life.”
Dave in his ’69 Bronco
Coming out of the holidays, I hope you got all you hoped for in presents and presence with the ones you love. And still, I’m guessing we all hope for a gift that we often struggle to get. Love for ourselves. Being proud of how we live our lives as who we hope to be—both for ourselves and the ones we love. Here's where your health and fitness journey comes into play. For me, it’s been an exercise in getting very specific about where I’m at, who I aspire to be, and the very detailed things that would need to exist in every aspect of health to help me get there. Not just physical health but mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health as well.
This community, its schools, and our church have been incredible constants in a world that’s otherwise always changing. Warm socks for the cold feet that come when adjusting to new. The identity shifts came in moving from California to Texas, from a corporate career to entrepreneurship, from being married to divorced, building a company with a partner to doing so on my own, and the bizarre experience of living a more private life to one that’s a bit more public at times as an author, speaker, podcaster, and small business consultant. In all of it, intentionally tending to my holistic health has been a must in keeping my head above water. Not the short-term diet or resolution but really casting a vision CONTINUED > JANUARY 2 0 2 3 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . C OM/D RI P PI N G S P R I N G S

for who I wanted to be amidst all the change. How did I want to show up for my kids, friends, community, or clients, and what foundation would need to be in place to make sure I was able to be who I say I want to be irrespective of what change comes next? To do so, I started looking at life in three-month windows. Understanding the intricacies of the current environment, I asked myself this question: “What do you need in this season to inch you closer to this vision of who you hope to become?” I asked it against each of the five dimensions of health, because as it turns out, your health is the foundation from which everything else is possible. The answers would create the way my calendar, connection with people, consumption of media, food, beverage, and more would lay out in the three months that sit ahead. It created the small, attainable goals that would keep forward momentum in my never-ending workin-progress journey of growth.
• Taking stock of the circle of people who influence you. • Owning the impact of the media and content you consume. 2. A very clear, specific, detailed vision of where you’d like to go. Calling your shot on who you hope to become. It’s going to take: • A vision of who you’ll become that runs like a movie in your head. • A plan for how you’ll regularly show up (I’ll show you how to build it in a second). • A detailed description of how you hope to feel each day.
TO GET THERE, I OFFER A THREE-STEP PROCESS FOR YOU TO EMBARK ON EARLY IN THIS YEAR:
3. The tactical details required to get you from here to there, diving into: • Building the habits and routines you’ll need to commit to daily. • Connecting to a “why” stronger than your excuses to maintain momentum on the days you don’t feel like it. • Understanding the kind of support necessary to get there. Once you’ve done your audit, it’s time to ask these questions of yourself. Do so acknowledging the work above that keeps it realistic to where you are and practical to assist you in where you’re heading. Here’s mine in real-time:
1. A radically honest assessment of where you are. A deep audit of what’s working and what isn’t in your life today. How is your current approach setting you up for success? What’s getting in your way? The audit includes: • Assessing existing habits and routines. • Being honest about coping mechanisms. • Reviewing your calendar over the past year to see good uses of time or where new boundaries are needed.
What do I need in this season to support my physical health? • Structured routine. I thrive in committing to a program that I don’t negotiate with. What I eat and when I go to the gym are set before I can talk myself out of it. • Move my body to change the way I think. Most of my physical goals are connected to my mental health. I get out and move every single day as a combination of therapy and church.

“What do you need in this season to inch you closer to this vision of who you hope to become?”
Erica + Jon Photography
• Set aggressive goals to remind myself of how strong I can be. I’ve needed things to work toward that were beyond my previous physical thresholds to show myself that, even in a hard season, I can do hard things. I just competed in my first physique competition and have my next one in April. What do I need in this season for my spiritual health? • I need to connect to a power greater than myself every single day. As James 4:8 says, “When you draw near to God, He draws near to you.” • Community with people who share my beliefs to reinforce and remind me of my truth on the days my faith feels tested.
• Diverse points of view that broaden my understanding and appreciation of God, the universe, nature, energy, and how all are interconnected. What do I need in this season for my emotional health? • I need to find ways to understand what I’m feeling and why I’m feeling it. Reading books has often shown the way. • I need some dang peace. Intentional time without screens, often on my back patio or in nature. • I need to stay connected to all that I have to be grateful for. Every single day starts with a gratitude practice focusing on all the good that already exists. CONTINUED > JANUARY 2 0 2 3 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . C OM/D RI P PI N G S P R I N G S

What do I need in this season for my mental health? • Professional freaking help. Therapy is my friend. Therapy is your friend. • Purpose, meaning, and impact from the work I do going forward. My future vision considers what I stand for (personal values), who I’m trying to become, and ways I might impact others. • Grace. I need a huge serving of grace when I push into new spaces. I am hardest on myself and I have to be intentional with the way I talk to myself when things don’t go my way. What do I need in this season for my relational health? • I need to lean into my family. The only way I can pursue the impact I hope for in the future is by staying connected to what’s most important to me. Deliberate time, without screens. I want my kids to feel seen and understood and it starts with how I engage regularly. • Conn ect ion . Finding community here in Dripping Springs with people who share my passion and openness to vulnerability to normalize this human experience. • Boundaries from anyone who wants to steal my fight for joy. My calendar, social feed, and text exchanges are all exclusive to positivity. Life is already hard enough to have to also carry the weight of a jerk. So, there you go. My approach to defining what I need, so that I have a roadmap to how I’d need to act in order to get there. I apply all of these observations into something I call “If/Then”. If I want to have these kinds of relationships, then I’ll have to do these things. If I want to preserve my mental health, then I’ll have to lean on these recourses or implement these practices. It takes a little bit of work, but it’s also been so effective in outlining how to approach health to get optimal returns.
Look, I know the new year is here and so too are the resolutions. The fuel from the turning of a page of the calendar to show up better for ourselves than we have through the holidays. I mean, all the dinners and desserts with family were so delicious . . . and also my pants are tight. I get it. And like you, I’ve made resolutions and tried every fad diet. I’ve had memberships to gyms and until recently used them intermittently. Usually in that rush toward a reunion or wedding. The thing I’ve come to learn (and didn’t appreciate for most of my adult life) is that resolutions or diets or any short-lived run to be healthier isn’t the game. • First, they rarely stick. It’s reported that more than 80% of people abandon their resolutions before February, while 95% of all diets fail. • Second, the inspiration to make change must be anchored to something that isn’t more important than the excuses you’ll make when you quit. Success comes back to understanding “why” you’re making change in the first place. Both require that change to become something that’s now part of your long-term identity, your everyday lifestyle, or it just won’t work. Know your “why” and anchor to it before you tackle the how. I’ll finish by arguing that the opportunity to love yourself, have pride for your actions and feel dignity for doing the things you’d need to do to be the person you’d hope to become for yourself and those you love is something that will stick. I know I can’t be who I hope to become without it, nor can I be who my most important relationships deserve if I don’t fight for it. Same is true for you. So, here’s to the year ahead. Here’s to committing to your health and keeping the promises you make to yourself. In doing so, it’s something that will change your life, not just for now but forever.
Success comes back to
understanding “why” you’re
making change
in the first place.

The Health Benefits of the Outdoors Local Parks to Keep You Moving!
ARTICLE BY KRISTEN HAFNER | PHOTOGRAPHY BY LAUREN CLARK In a modern, highly digital world, it’s easy to become disconnected from nature. With the new year upon us and cooler weather in the air, what better time than now to incorporate a routine that benefits all aspects of your life? The health benefits of being in nature are quite astonishing, studies show. Researchers have linked exposure to the outdoors with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and asthma hospitalizations. Scientists are still figuring out which mechanisms are responsible for these positive effects, but it's possible that they have something to do with the enhanced immune function and vitamin D production that is also associated with time spent outdoors. In patients recovering from surgery, nature has even been shown to have a positive effect on their pain management recovery. Let’s talk about mental health. As you may assume, spending time outside is highly beneficial for your brain. Exposure to nature has been proven to lead to better cognitive function in several studies. It's also been shown to decrease stress and boost happiness, both of which are imperative to maintaining good mental health and fighting depression and anxiety. One study showed a significantly lower risk of psychiatric disorders (such as depression, mood disorders, and schizophrenia) in children who grew up with more access to nature. If you’re still not convinced to hop off the couch and take your dog for a walk, let’s continue. We all know that outdoor activities require physical activity, therefore burning calories. Even low-intensity activities like walking help you maintain a healthy, happy lifestyle and improve sleep quality. According to one study, spending just two hours a week in nature is correlated with significant increases in health and well-being. Divided up, that comes out to just under half an hour each day.

Ringing in the new year also means welcoming new home design trends. The buzz of 2023 will be bold colors mixed with neutrals, masculine and feminine accent walls, and shades of brown making a comeback. Expect to see a lot of texture with natural elements, such as concrete, wood paneling, plaster, and stone.

No rules for mixing colors. Designers are painting walls, ceilings, and trim in different colors. Go subtle on walls and add a pop of color to the trim or ceiling.
Natural elements are huge for 2023. Bring the outside in. Designers love this timeless trend. Use plaster for your shower instead of tile. It complements any design style and bonus . . . no grout lines. Smooth concrete on your fireplace instead of tile or rock; this can be painted or left natural.
Wood walls! These can be as detailed or as simple as you like. A patterned trim or 3D wall paneling will add dimension and substitute as art. Add a bold color in lacquered paint and your home will be 2023 design ready. Kristen Hafner Photography

FLATWATER FOUNDATION ARTICLE BY NICOLE BURNS ASCUE PHOTOGRAPHY BY CALEB KERR
Each September, more than two hundred stand-up paddle boarders take part in a 21-mile paddle on Lake Austin from Mansfield Dam to Tom Miller Dam in support of the Flatwater Foundation, a local organization that offers mental health support for people affected by cancer. In 2022 alone, TYLER’S Dam That Cancer (DTC) event raised more than $1.2 million. The proceeds provide therapy services at no cost to cancer patients and their families for as long as they need. Chelsea Hardee, Driftwood resident and senior vice president of impact and events at the Flatwater Foundation, shared that although the roughly 10-hour paddle is a one-day event, it really is more of a season with participants fundraising and training throughout the summer. She noted, “People come back year after year and become friends.” Brought together by a common goal to support those impacted by cancer and often by a shared experience with loss, participants spend the day telling stories and paddling with each other. Milemarker buoys inscribed with the names of family members and friends serve as tributes to lost loved ones and those who are still with us.
After retiring from a professional pole-vaulting career, Chelsea began volunteering with Flatwater, where her now-husband, Trey, a two-time Olympian, served as their first global ambassador in memory of his stepfather. In 2012, Chelsea, whose family also has a history of cancer, joined founder and executive director Mark Garza's team full-time to help the cause. During the last decade, she has driven growth in DTC contributions from $125,000 to more than $1.2 million. With the money raised from DTC and other fundraising event opportunities, such as the New York City Marathon, the organization’s services have expanded to include a network of more than 150 paid therapists across Central Texas to whom patients and their families can be referred through either partner organizations (e.g., Texas Oncology, Wonders & Worries) or via the Flatwater Foundation's internal navigator. To date, Flatwater has provided a remarkable 56,000 hours of professional therapy. To learn more about accessing their services, visit flatwaterfoundation.org or email help@flatwaterfoundation.org. DIRECT PR I M A RY C A R E Holistic Wellness as the Backbone of Preventive Care
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is changing the landscape of preventive medicine and primary care across the country, and Dr. Sarah Marino’s practice is bringing that change to the Texas Hill Country. DPC is the simplest model of healthcare delivery: a patient, a doctor, and a monthly patient membership investment, which provides doctors and patients more time together, more autonomy, more opportunity for trust, and virtually unlimited high-quality primary care. Dr. Marino chose this practice of medicine at a time in her life when key life events reminded her to redefine her personal and professional values, which include freedom and flexibility, holistic health and wellness, patient and physician autonomy, and healthy stewardship of time and resources. Becoming a mother in the wake of 2020 catapulted her into entrepreneurship for the sake of these values. • Holistic wellness as the backbone of preventive care. • Flexibility for patients to make their own health decisions and maintain physician support. • Better stewardship of patient dollars and transparency in cost structures. • Freedom from third parties.
•
Time. To talk to patients. To know them, their families, and their stories. To thoroughly investigate health issues. To tailor strategic care plans. To have more face-to-face time and less time at a computer.
Leaving hospital work for full-time clinic medicine was bittersweet and not something she took lightly. Hundreds of hours were spent dreaming, writing, planning, and seeking counsel. Throughout the decision process, she continued to see this model of medicine as not only better for patients but healthier for herself and her family. Perhaps most importantly, it offered the opportunity for a fulfilling career that didn’t sacrifice thousands of hours of motherhood. It also offered space for her own health and room for joy in her work. And it took her back to how and why her pursuit of medicine ever started: a love for learning and science, curiosity around the “why,” and a desire to solve problems with all of this utilized to help people be the healthiest version of themselves. For patients in need of a primary care physician that offers a holistic approach to preventive medicine and illness, Dr. Marino is currently accepting new patient members.

Fit It In The No Excuses Workout with Hill Country MVMT ARTICLE BY GINA BORGETTI-EVANS WITH BANE EVANS PHOTOGRAPHY BY GINA BORGETTI-EVANS Hill Country MVMT, a functional fitness-based strength and conditioning gym in Dripping Springs, opened its doors in March 2019. As a husband and wife–owned business, it’s important to us that our members and clients feel like they’re our family too. While our own personal fitness goals have shifted over the years, one thing that remains constant is that we choose to stay active in some capacity. Movement is medicine and motion is lotion. Want to avoid nagging aches and pains? Move well. Want to have the energy to keep up with your young family? Move often. Want to stay strong and independent well into your golden years? Move well and move often! Great results start with high-quality movements. Movement affects joints, muscle growth, cardiovascular fitness, sleep quality, stress management—you name it. It’s the foundation for everything and a fountain
of youth. Focus on these six main movement patterns whether you’re a beginner, getting back into a routine, or an avid exerciser! • Hinge • Squat • Lunge • Push • Pull • Carry All you’ll need for this simple yet sweaty, on-the-go friendly burner is a single weight and a timer! Every Minute on the Minute (EMOM) x 3 ROUNDS / REST 1:00 minute after each ROUND (20:00 minutes total) Complete as many high-quality reps of each movement as safely as possible within :45, using the final :15 to switch to the next movement.
Exercise Descriptions: 1. Glute Bridges: While lying on your back with knees bent, press your lower back into the floor. Then squeeze your glute and press down into your heels, driving your hips up on your exhale. Lower with an inhale and repeat.
3. Goblet Squats: Holding a weight at your chest, inhale and hold. Then sit back as low as possible while maintaining an upright torso position. Exhale to stand, driving your heels into the floor and squeezing your glutes.
2. Push-Ups: Start with your chest on the floor and hands positioned outside of your ribs. Tuck your hip bones towards your ribs, squeezing your glutes. Inhale and hold. Then exhale as you drive your palms into the ground while maintaining a plank position.
4. Bent Over Rows: Holding the weight in one hand, tip from the hip, lowering your torso until the weight is around knee level. Inhale into the width of your ribs, then exhale as you draw one elbow up, hand towards your hip bone, focusing on sliding your shoulder blade in towards your spine.
5. Cossack Squats: Shift all of your weight into your bent knee leg, keeping the opposite leg straight. Shift from one leg to the other while keeping your hips as low as possible. 6. Single Arm Farmers March: Hold a weight in one hand. Then march in place, holding one knee at hip height for one second to demonstrate control before switching legs. Keep your torso upright with good posture, and avoid leaning towards the weighted side. Repeat with the weight in the other hand (:25/side).

CHANGE YOUR LIFE WITH EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
ARTICLE BY SHAUN DAMICO
CRITICAL SKILLS TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE THAT YOU WON’T LEARN IN SCHOOL
34
EXP E RT H E LP | WEL L NESS
Have you ever experienced a struggle or hardship in your life? Can you remember a time that you felt so overwhelmed with emotion that you found it difficult to function or carry on with everyday tasks? We’ve all heard of IQ or intelligence quotient, which denotes the amount of human intelligence someone possesses. Alternatively, emotional quotient (EQ ) is defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand, manage, and handle emotions, or rather the amount of emotional intelligence someone possesses. However, the downfall of most goals that we aim to attain are the emotions that can get in the way of those very same objectives. These emotions can at best slow us down and at worst stop us in our tracks altogether, hindering us from maintaining and succeeding in our personal and professional goals. As business leaders, this is not only something we weren’t taught ourselves, but something we never learned how to help others in our charge overcome in order to obtain the goals we’ve set out either.
To some of us, the very concept can sound both incredible and incredibly improbable. I would go as far as to argue that many struggles and failures we experience in our lives and as a society exist because of an overarching challenge in our communities to deal with those emotions. Of the many things I learned throughout my time serving in the Air Force, managing and leading multiple businesses, and the interpersonal dynamics we naturally encounter in life from childhood thru adulthood, there is nothing more profound than the constant strengthening of my own EQ. In order to have a better understanding, let’s outline the four basic components of EQ: self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, and relationship management. Self-awareness can be understood as the knowledge of your own thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Social awareness deals with your ability to empathize with others. Selfmanagement refers to dealing with your own emotions in order to adapt and overcome obstacles throughout your life. Relationship management teaches intentional communication to foster healthy relationships. In future articles, we will explore each of these in more depth. I urge you to study on your own, as EQ is the first thing I credit for my personal and professional successes as well as a major contributor to why I am still alive today through my own journey to mental wellness. r3 Pilates BOUTIQUE PILATES STUDIO IN THE HEART OF THE HILL COUNTRY Dutton Family
ARTICLE BY KRISTEN HAFNER | PHOTOGRAPHY BY LAUREN CLARK Humble, genuine, and warm: that is Rebekah Dutton. A Boerne native, Bekah is a mom of three and married to her childhood sweetheart. After making the rounds after high school and college, Bekah and Tyler planted roots in Dripping in 2014. From baking, beekeeping, and milking goats to volunteering as a Young Life leader, there is seemingly nothing Bekah can’t do. In October 2021, a dream of Bekah’s came to fruition when she opened the doors of r3 Pilates, a boutique studio in the heart of the Hill Country. “Pilates was the first time I ever saw a real change in my body, so I decided to get certified. I have been teaching for about 9 years and it’s the most fun I have ever had!” she said. “Our studio is meant to be a place where you can get a one-of-a-kind workout, while also finding incredible community in a bright, peaceful space.” Find r3 Pilates online at r3pilates.com or on Instagram @r3pilatestx.

PSYCHOLOGY OF HABIT CHANGE How to Hit Those New Year’s Resolutions
Each year millions of people set New Year’s resolutions. And each year, millions will break those resolutions in only a few short weeks. People don’t fail at resolutions because they lack the desire to change, but rather, they fail because they don’t know how to harness the hidden power of their unconscious mind for their benefit. In other words, they don’t know how to change their habits.
Habit change is based on three simple steps: a cue, a behavior, and a reward. Step 1: The cue is an internal or external stimulus that communicates to your unconscious mind to take a certain action. This is sometimes referred to as a trigger or an anchor. Step 2: The behavior is the habit itself that you’re looking to incorporate into your daily life. Step 3: The reward is an instantaneous response that occurs after each time the behavior occurs. Note: this is not the same as an external reward that you give yourself upon keeping a certain habit for several days or months. This must be a system that generates every time you do a certain act.
“If you’re having trouble meeting your goals, then get back to the basics. Start with habit change.”

Dr. Stefani Reinold
First, connect your goals to daily habits. Even the loftiest of goals must get broken down into daily habits. Whether it’s relationship, career, health or personal goals, what will you do every day or every week in order to make that happen? Then, confirm that the habits you are looking to incorporate are intrinsically valuable to you. If a habit is misaligned with how you see yourself unconsciously, then your mind will continue to challenge the new habit and make it incredibly difficult to maintain. Next, discover your cue or trigger in your daily life that will prompt you to start the behavior. Find something in your daily life that you do as regularly as the habit you are looking to initiate. Connect the new habit with your existing behavior. Last, feel your reward. This can be something as simple as feeling the endorphin high after a long run or a positive feeling from completing your to-do list. For the best chance at making a habit stick, make this an instantaneous reward, not something that you work for over time. Individuals who accomplish all of the above have all of the tools to conquer this year’s habits. In my experience as a psychiatrist, there are two reasons you may still be struggling: either you are dealing with limiting beliefs preventing you from creating authentic habits and goals or you are dealing with underlying untreated mental health issues. If you’re stuck, there is always hope for a powerful future.

CREATING HEALTHY HABITS FOR KIDS ARTICLE BY WILL RIVERA AND NATHAN BAGBY
Klearcut Media
MARTIAL ARTS IS MAKING YOUTH FITNESS FUN
Beginning healthy habits at a young age makes it much easier to maintain healthy habits into adulthood. Learning how to make healthier choices from an early age can help ensure that a child’s preferences lean more toward healthier options later in life, especially as the stressors of adult life settle in. The best way to achieve physical fitness at an early age is to ensure that early experiences are good experiences. Kids should be running, jumping, rolling, throwing, catching, and learning how their bodies move through space. Fitness at a young age should look a lot like play. If a child feels like fitness is a chore, they’re more likely to be resistant, but if it is approached as “fun” or at the very least an activity that is consistently positive, it’s far more likely to become a sustainable habit as they grow older. After all, we are hardwired to enjoy exercise on a biological level in a similar capacity as play, releasing endorphins and dopamine.

Martial arts is a great option for keeping kids active, for all the reasons that are listed above, but also because kids are learning far more than just how to be fit. Kids are improving hand-eye coordination, balance, and individual limb coordination. They are learning inner fortitude, resilience, and how to defend themselves. Kids who take martial arts from a good instructor are also learning self-control, discipline, and respect. Coach Nathan Bagby is a former Muay Thai fighter and martial artist turned coach, personal trainer, and personal safety public speaker. He has worked with everyone from pro fighters to soccer moms, one on one to small groups. Coach Bagby recently launched Contego Martial Arts, a comprehensive, family-friendly martial arts system serving the Austin and Dripping Springs area. His program offers all of the best elements of Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, taekwondo, and jiu-jitsu. Classes are designed to be engaging, informative, and fun for all ages and experience levels. Classes are currently being held at Austin Sports Academy. Kids’ Classes (ages 5–12): We are currently offering one kids’ class that meets three days a week. This class is open to kids of all experience levels between the ages of 5 and 12. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6–7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10–11 a.m. Contact Coach Bagby for more information @ (469) 867-8407.
