The modern alcove is set with bright wood and glass and has a private patio that sets the stage for a darn good scoop and sip with the whole family. Prior to opening his business, Peterson was an avid cook and developed his own method for making ice cream from scratch. He researched popular flavor combos from around the world and with much experimentation now has over 25 recipes in his pocket. The shop started after he decided to serve these unique flavors alongside a hot Americano, and that’s when their now-famous affogatos took off. While the standards of choice for ice cream are chocolate, vanilla, and their Foxy Brown (tastes like cinnamon rolls and cheesecake), their more exotic flavors are a must-try. Expect spicy combos like honeydew and wasabi and the fan-favorite of Thai Tea with hints of vanilla followed by a taste of sweet black tea.

ORLY EISBART, OWNER AND DESIGNER OF ORLY MARCEL JEWELRY HAS A CALM PRESENCE ABOUT HER THAT DRAWS YOU IN. It’s no surprise to learn that her breadth of life experience and world travel inform her existence, and give depth to her designs for Orly Marcel. Born and raised in Tel Aviv to a father who was an accomplished furniture designer, making things with her hands was a talent that her family encouraged. “Every day after school my mom would take us to the beach. On our way, we would stop at his store that was on the main street and visit him in his workshop upstairs. Whenever I smell leather or glue and all the materials that he used, it takes me back to that time”. At the age of 10, Orly moved with her family to Miami to expand their opportunities, and her family pivoted into watch repair and jewelry sales. From this experience, Orly became more aware of the artistry of fine jewelry. Orly followed her interest in tactile design by receiving a BFA in Textiles and turned that passion into a career as a textile designer in New York City. Upon learning of her father’s cancer diagnosis, she returned to Miami to be with her family. His illness and sudden passing became a catalyst for Orly. She turned to her love of yoga and the healing arts to get her through this time and created a new path for herself, becoming a certified yoga instructor and bodyworker. Through this transformative pivot, the idea of Orly Marcel came to her in a vision. “I was meditating, and I had a vision of creating Malas, which are prayer beads used in Buddist meditation and different cultures. I had a vision for spiritually inspired jewelry but made out of precious jewels like rubies, emeralds, diamonds, and 18 karat gold." Orly Marcel was born out of the idea of creating beautiful pieces that are not only unique and refined but steeped in higher purpose. "I wanted to create not just beautiful pieces of jewelry, but jewelry that's grounded in deeper meaning. I want them to be daily reminders of connection, love, light and offer a reminder to take a pause.” Her attention to both aesthetic and conscious positive messaging make Orly Marcel treasured keepsakes for generations to come.
