Happy Hour - Every day 3-5pm
Oh October… my favorite month is finally here—and yes, it’s Halloween season! For me, there’s nothing better than crisp fall nights, Skeletons and Bats, and our community coming together for a little spooky fun. October always feels full of both tricks and treats. And this year, it’s even sweeter because this issue is all about Food & Drink, and oh boy we’re bringing you something special!
As you’ve seen, Centennial City Lifestyle keeps growing. Our happy hours are connecting businesses and readers in big ways, and now we’re putting an extra spotlight on the local restaurants that don’t always show up first on a Google search. Because let’s be real... Google doesn’t know our community like we do.
Danielle is the foodie, and me? I just love to eat and meet people. Together, we went all in—researching, photographing, tasting, and connecting with more than 20 restaurants while collecting gift cards for an extra surprise. From counter service to cocktails, mocktails to desserts, we tracked down the best of the best. (And Sul-Bing? Let’s just say it’s officially become my kids’ obsession. One of them even tried to go two days in a row, calling it the best dessert ever.)
That’s why we’re so excited to launch The Taste of Centennial
Here’s the deal: visit any restaurant featured in this issue—whether it’s in a story or an ad—scan the QR code, and you’ll be entered to win gift cards to even more local spots (and maybe a few spooky surprises). Winners will be announced weekly on Instagram and Facebook, so make sure you're following along @centennialcitylifestyle . See our ad on the inside back cover for more details.
So here’s to good food, great friends, and the magic of October. May your month be filled with community, connection, and of course… plenty of treats.
Here’s to tricks, treats, and tasty eats.
P.S. See you at our Next Happy Hour October 16th at Indulge Bistro and Wine Bar from 3-6pm, Save the date!

Danielle VonFeldt is a designer, magazine maven, and unapologetic foodie. She’s tasted her way through nearly every counter in this roundup, always on the hunt for flavor, fun, and the perfect bite. When not sampling local eats, she’s creating stories that celebrate style, community, and a love of good food.
Counter-service dining is the unsung hero of the food scene, fast, accessible, and bursting with global flavor. This October’s issue celebrates twelve quick-serve spots that bring world-class cuisine to your neighborhood, one delicious bite at a time.
Picture smoky Southern-style barbecue piled high on soft buns, Mediterranean bowls brimming with herbs and spices, and authentically crafted tacos that taste like home. Craving warmth and spice? You’ll encounter Caribbean-style jerk chicken and perfectly simmered curries, along with comforting pizzas fresh from the oven or hearty deli classics.
The lineup doesn’t stop there. Dive into steaming bowls of ramen, where richly layered broths and tender noodles bring Japan’s soul food to your counter. Elsewhere, panini paired with sweet crepe indulgence offers European-style elegance on the go. Heat seekers can chase Nashville-style chicken spice, while health-focused guests can energize with superfood bowls and pressed juices.
What makes this kind of dining exciting today is its diversity. You can move from region to region, Southern smokehouse, Caribbean cadence, Asian zest, or European flair, all without leaving your block. Each kitchen reflects not just the flavors of its cuisine but also the creativity and personality of those who cook and serve it.
Looking for a quick lunch, a post-work snack, or a casual weekend bite with friends? These kitchens prove that speed and flavor aren’t opposites. Global food can be as simple as stepping up to the counter, ordering what intrigues you, and savoring something comforting, adventurous, and utterly delicious.
