Hello friends,

I am writing this while visiting my sister and nieces outside Portland, Oregon. Since they were born 17 years ago, I've had the pleasure of visiting at least biannually, more often when they were younger. Their parents have always made a concerted effort to surround them with music, musicians, instruments and opportunities. Dana chose to study the flute and Veronica chose the trumpet. They each play multiple instruments and have lovely voices.

Last night, we attended a Metropolitan Youth Symphony concert featuring Greig, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and an impressive original composition by a young local musician. The highlight was the Carl Reinecke Flute Concerto in D major, Op. 283, mvt. 1. Dana (pictured) was the soloist, the winner of the 2025-2026 MYS Concerto Competition. We all beamed with pride. Those hundreds of practice hours and a deep commitment to her passion shone through her precise performance.

For parents who are considering investing in music lessons for their kids, I say "BRAVO."

In this INVESTMENT issue, we look at how the Atlanta History Center's commitment to the community is being celebrated this year.

Home renovations (one of our favorite subjects) can be a smart way to add value to your property, so we asked Quinn Windows to share their view of the best projects to invest in.

It's been more than a year since Brookhaven's City Centre opened, and the space has proved to be a fitting and functional meeting ground for our growing community.

Also, we follow superstar realtor Stephen Beckwith through his favorite space at home and around Buckhead.

Enjoy this issue.

All my best,

April 2026

THE CITY CENTRE'S HEART IS STRONG

David and Jess Photography
“The quieter details are worth seeking out.”

Since opening last summer, Brookhaven City Centre has become central to community life — a civic hub and gathering place at 4001 Peachtree Road NE, steps from the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA station. Designed to serve multiple purposes throughout the day, the building supports city operations while also welcoming residents, meetings and events.

That vision came to life during last summer’s grand opening, when residents filled the space for tours, tastings and family activities. Since then, the momentum hasn’t slowed. City Centre now hosts signature events like Taste Brookhaven, alongside weddings, corporate meetings and holiday celebrations, while remaining a true civic space with free programming like Movies Under the Stars, Photos with Santa and the city’s Black History Month Celebration.

The building itself is a standout: Georgia’s first municipal structure built primarily from mass timber, with warm wood interiors, expansive glass and natural light throughout. Of its 58,250 square feet, roughly 60% is dedicated to community use, including flexible meeting rooms, an event hall, a catering kitchen and outdoor green space. The Atrium leads to adaptable rooms that transition easily from board meetings to seated dinners, while rotating art installations are displayed on the second floor.

The quieter details are worth seeking out. Summit Coffee gives the building an everyday rhythm, good for a slow morning or a casual work session. Outside, stone frieze panels framed in steel illustrate the life cycle of a peach tree, with tones that shift subtly as the light changes. The rooftop terrace beneath the Cherry Blossom Dome looks out to Stone Mountain and Kennesaw on a clear day, offering a quiet vantage point above the city.

Spring is when Brookhaven feels especially easy to explore. Saturday mornings start at the Brookhaven Farmers Market, a longtime favorite for fresh produce, baked goods and local makers. It’s also the ideal season to enjoy the city’s natural landscape: a 44% tree canopy, 19 parks and the evolving Peachtree Creek Greenway. Looking ahead to summer, Atlanta will host 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in June and July, bringing visitors from around the world. Located along the MARTA Gold Line, Brookhaven offers an easy home base for fans — close to downtown matches, but with a neighborhood pace. From globally inspired dining along Buford Highway to patio-lined restaurants in Dresden and gatherings at Brookhaven City Centre, it’s a chance for Brookhaven to welcome the world while still feeling unmistakably local. See you around!

Redefining MVP: TIM TEBOW’S LIFE BEYOND FOOTBALL

An exclusive Q&A with City Lifestyle

PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

From championship trophies to global humanitarian impact, Tim Tebow’s journey has defied every standard playbook. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Tebow pulls back the curtain on the moments that truly defined him, from a humbling middle school church retreat to the life-altering shift of fatherhood. This isn’t just a look back at a career; it’s an invitation into the heart of a man driven by purpose. Read the highlights below, then join us for the full, unfiltered experience by scanning the QR code at the end.

Q: WE ALL KNOW YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, BUT TELL US ABOUT THE CURL CONTEST.

A: I was competing for my future high school team (my brother’s team), and I pushed myself way past what was smart. I ended up collapsing and needing medical attention. But what stayed with me wasn’t the pain, it was the lesson. Would I be willing to do something that others aren’t? For much of my life, I strived to bring my best for a game, but I hope that I can say at the end of my life I was willing to do that for things that actually matter.

Q: YOU’VE ACHIEVED SO MUCH IN SPORTS. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT NOW?

A: Becoming a dad. Nothing compares. From the moment I knew my wife was pregnant, I felt a new depth of love for our child, but when you bring your baby home, the responsibility hits you like nothing else. Suddenly, everything you see, every decision you make, you’re asking, “Is this corner too sharp? What happens if she reaches that drawer?” It changes how you see the world and how you see other people.

Q: YOU’VE SPOKEN OPENLY ABOUT DISAPPOINTMENT, ESPECIALLY AROUND FOOTBALL. HOW DID THAT SEASON OF LIFE SHAPE YOU?

A: I talked a lot about that very thing in my book Shaken . We all go through moments where our faith in our abilities and purpose feels rattled, but I believe it’s often in those storms when God can show us who we could become.

Q: YOU TALK A LOT ABOUT COMPARISON CULTURE. WHY DO YOU BELIEVE COMPARISON HAS BECOME SUCH A TRAP TODAY?

A: Because we’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel. Social media shows people’s “best day,” often filtered and staged, and then we measure our reality against that. There’s a reason filters are so popular—it’s not real. We end up scrolling through images that don’t tell the full story, and without realizing it, comparison starts to steal our joy and our gratitude.

“We’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel... comparison starts to steal our joy.”

Q: YOUR FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON THE “MOST VULNERABLE.” WHERE DID THAT CALLING BEGIN?

A: When I was 15, I met a boy in the Philippines who was treated as a throwaway because he was born with physical differences. That moment changed me. I realized God was calling me to pursue a different kind of MVP, not “Most Valuable Player,” but “Most Vulnerable People.”

Q: FINALLY, WHAT’S ONE THING PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

A: I have some weird coffee habits, which include protein powder, collagen, and cream all mixed together. I love golf dates with my wife. And every night, I bring snacks to bed to share with our dogs. It brings me more joy than it probably should.

This conversation barely scratches the surface. Tim goes deeper into the moments that rattled him, the joys of fatherhood, and one story he has never shared publicly until now. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on Share the Lifestyle Podcast.

Light and Bright

Why windows are a smart investment

When you think about improving your home’s comfort, style and resale value, one of the most practical upgrades you can make is replacing old or inefficient windows.

In Atlanta’s humid summers and occasionally unpredictable winters, windows are more than decorative features. They influence how light moves through a space, how well a home retains air and how outside noise filters in. For many homeowners, replacing windows becomes less about beauty and more about livability, cooler interiors in August, fewer drafts in January and a noticeable drop in energy costs.

For homeowners in the area, Quinn Windows stands out as a local name in quality window installation and replacement - with decades of family ownership behind it. Quinn Windows has deep roots in the Atlanta area home improvement scene. The company was founded in 1980 by Charles Quinn, with ownership passing to Charles’s son, Conor Quinn, in 2012.

Windows are also viewed as a long-term investment. Energy savings, temperature control, light control and sound remediation are just a few ways windows can dramatically improve your home. According to owner Conor Quinn, “Windows can be

a great investment for your home because they impact comfort, efficiency, style and overall value in several meaningful ways.”

Unlike trend-driven updates that may fade in popularity, well-made windows deliver considerable return over time. Improved insulation can help reduce monthly utility costs, while quality materials extend the lifespan of your home’s exterior. There is also the less measurable return: enhanced natural light, improved ventilation and an increased sense of comfort that homeowners experience every day.

Quinn Windows does things a little differently. “Honestly, what we try to focus on is the whole experience for our customers. We want things to be as straightforward as possible—from giving a clear quote (our first price is usually our best) to respecting people’s time and keeping the process efficient,” says Quinn.

Quinn Windows has built a reputation over more than 40 years for honest advice and dependable service. Their history as a family-owned company means you’re working with people who value community, craftsmanship and durability - not just a payday. quinnwindows.biz

INVESTING IN ATLANTA’S STORY

Cultural organizations thrive because people believe in their value. Museums are places where curiosity is sparked, perspectives are broadened and connections are made across generations. Behind every exhibit, program and school tour is a network of supporters who make this work possible. At Atlanta History Center, our members and donors are the foundation of everything we do.

At Atlanta History Center, every membership and every donation is an investment in something bigger than a single visit—it is an investment in our shared story, our community and future generations.

Their support helps preserve more than 33 acres of historic landscapes, houses and gardens, along with artifacts that tell Atlanta’s story—from its earliest days to its role in shaping the nation. Memberships and contributions fund the conservation of these collections, ensuring they remain accessible for decades to come.

Donations also fuel our exhibitions and programs. From national exhibitions to local stories rooted in Atlanta’s neighborhoods, our donors’ generosity allows us to present engaging, research-driven experiences. It supports educational programs that reach thousands of students each year, many of whom visit Atlanta History Center for the first time through school partnerships.

Sarah Fonder-Kristy

Equally important, philanthropic support helps expand access. Membership programs and donor-funded initiatives allow us to offer reduced-price and free admission days, community events and outreach programs that welcome visitors from across the region. These investments ensure that history remains open, accessible and relevant.

In recent years, donor support has enabled major improvements—from restoring historic structures to upgrading galleries and technology—so we can better present the past to today’s audiences.

We recently closed our capital campaign, Future Atlanta. The philanthropic community of Atlanta invested $60 million in our mission over the last two years. These funds provide support for several exciting exhibits that we will unveil throughout 2026, our centennial year: an exhibition and beautiful coffee table book highlighting Atlanta’s history with 100 objects from

our collections, a redesign of the Goizueta Children’s Experience featuring Atlanta’s professional sports teams, an expansive exhibition on the Civil War era and an immersive exhibition on the Cherokee and Muscogee Trails of Tears.

Every gift, large or small, plays a role. Membership dues help sustain daily operations. Annual fund contributions provide flexibility to meet emerging needs. Campaign gifts help us dream bigger and build for the future. Together, they create a strong, resilient organization.

When a donor supports Atlanta History Center, they are doing more than making a donation. They are preserving stories, inspiring learning and ensuring that Atlanta’s history continues to be explored, shared and celebrated.

A FRESH TAKE ON WEALTH MANAGEMENT

Meet Kadian Clarke and Amberly Postell

Elite Wealth Advisors was founded in March of 2024 by Kadian Clarke and Amberly Postell. We caught up with them to chat about their successful business.

CONGRATULATIONS ON ENTERING YOUR THIRD YEAR OF BUSINESS IN BUCKHEAD WITH A MISSION TO EMPOWER YOUR CLIENTS TO ACHIEVE FINANCIAL EXCELLENCE THROUGH ELITE-LEVEL GUIDANCE.

TELL US, WHAT MAKES YOUR TEAM ELITE?

What makes our team elite isn’t just credentials or experience; it’s our standard. We approach every client relationship with the same rigor, discipline and personalization you would expect from a family office, while remaining deeply relational and accessible.

We work with many high-income professionals and dual-career families who thought they were “doing everything right” but still felt behind. We identified hidden cash flow inefficiencies, restructured debt, optimized their employers’ benefits, automated savings and analyzed tax strategies to create clear steps of action that align with their financial goals.

For business owners, we’ve designed compensation and retirement plan structures that allow them to significantly reduce taxable income while accelerating personal wealth accumulation. Lastly, where applicable, we tie the overall plan together by focusing on longterm college planning and estate planning.

We combine high-level technical planning with a proactive strategy. That means we don’t just build financial plans, we stress test retirement projections, evaluate tax efficiency across multiple scenarios and continuously refine investment allocations based on both market conditions, risk tolerance and life changes. Our clients don’t get a one-time plan; they get an evolving strategy.

Most importantly, we operate as true partners and take pride in being woman-owned. Elite service means responsiveness, discretion, clarity and the confidence that every recommendation is aligned with the client’s long-term vision.

BY EMBRACING DIVERSITY, YOUR TEAM FINDS TAILORED SOLUTIONS TO MEET THE UNIQUE GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AND BUSINESS THAT YOU SERVE. CAN YOU GIVE US A FEW EXAMPLES OF UNIQUE SOLUTIONS?

The diversity of background, profession and life stage allows us to think creatively and tailor our financial plans to each client. No two clients are alike, and our strategies reflect that.

FINANCIAL EXCELLENCE ISN’T ABOUT HAVING THE HIGHEST INCOME OR THE MOST COMPLEX INVESTMENT STRATEGY; IT’S ABOUT ALIGNMENT AND MAKING SURE THAT YOUR MONEY SUPPORTS YOUR VALUES, YOUR GOALS AND YOUR LEGACY. YOU REMIND US, “IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO START BEING MORE FINANCIALLY PREPARED.” TELL US ABOUT YOUR TEAM.

Our team is built around complementary strengths. While we both offer the same highlevel comprehensive financial planning strategies to our clients, we tailor our responsibilities within our business to each of our strengths.

Kadian Clarke, Co-Founder and Financial Advisor, specializes in advanced planning strategies, investment portfolio design and long-term planning. Kadian has a sharp analytical lens and thrives on solving complex financial situations, particularly in areas like tax strategy, estate structuring and business-owner planning. Within the business structure, Kadian focuses on marketing and advertising for Elite Wealth, as well as a portion of administrative tasks.

Amberly Postell, Co-Founder and Financial Advisor, focuses on retirement strategy, relationship management and comprehensive planning.

She is especially passionate about financial education and empowering clients who were never formally taught how to manage and grow wealth. Amberly personally connects with every prospective client to thoughtfully evaluate alignment, readiness and opportunity. Amberly also shares a portion of administrative tasks for the operation of the business.

We also have two amazing Administrative Assistants who work behind the scenes to ensure that things run smoothly as well. Brittany Skanes focuses on client relations, where she communicates with clients to ensure smooth scheduling and client satisfaction. Jennifer McNeill focuses on clerical tasks, assisting with data entry, record keeping and presentation preparation.

Together, we blend technical skills with practical application and make financial planning feel structured, calm and actionable. Our welcoming personalities and approachable style help clients feel confident, understood and supported every step of the way.

YOUR BREADTH OF KNOWLEDGE IS DEEP. HOW DO YOU STAY ABREAST OF NEW TOOLS, STRATEGIES AND IDEAS FOR WEALTH MANAGEMENT, CASH MANAGEMENT AND ESTATE PLANNING?

As licensed fiduciaries, we believe expertise is a responsibility. We stay current through ongoing continuing education, routine compliance conferences and collaboration with estate attorneys and CPAs. We also routinely review legislative updates that may impact the market, tax planning and estate strategies.

Beyond formal education, we dedicate internal time to research, reviewing market developments and evolving regulatory changes. Our goal is not just to react to change, but to anticipate it. When laws shift or markets move, it is our job to ensure our clients already have a solid strategy in place.

YOUR WEBSITE HAS MORE THAN 100 ARTICLES AND RESOURCES FOR PEOPLE CURIOUS ABOUT STRENGTHENING THEIR FINANCIAL PLANNING. IN ADDITION TO HANDS-ON WORK WITH CLIENTS, YOUR TEAM SPENDS TIME RESEARCHING AND WRITING. WHAT DOES AN “AVERAGE” WORKDAY LOOK LIKE FOR KADIAN AND AMBERLY?

One of the beauties of our careers is that no two days are identical. Mornings through midday are often dedicated to client meetings: retirement modeling sessions, portfolio reviews, onboarding new families, or coordinating with outside professionals like CPAs and attorneys. Afternoons are mostly used for client case work and meeting preparation.

Mondays are dedicated to internal strategy meetings, where we review client cases, current events and evaluate opportunities for our clients as well as our business.

Outside of our day-to-day scheduled meetings, we also carve out time for proactive outreach. Sometimes the most valuable calls are the ones that aren’t scheduled, checking in when markets

are volatile or when a client is navigating a major life decision. We also dedicate one day per month to community outreach, where we spend our day volunteering and giving back to others.

Client education is one of our top priorities, and the articles on our website are available through a partnership with a thirdparty firm that composes and publishes the articles that we use as an information resource for our clients or anyone who is curious about strengthening their financial planning knowledge.

YOU’RE THE EXPERT AND HAVE OUR ATTENTION. WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE OUR READERS TO KNOW?

Many successful professionals were never formally taught how to build wealth strategically. We see that every day, and our mission is to change that by providing structure, education and disciplined financial plans.

Year three in Buckhead is meaningful to us because it is considered the premier business district for finance and wealth management. Our community values excellence and leadership, in addition to personal and professional growth. We’re proud to serve families and business owners who are building not just wealth, but impact.

And we’re just getting started.
