BUCKHAVEN LIFESTYLE. Can you believe it? When I answered a Craigslist ad and met Jim Newman and the founder of Lifestyle Publications in Buckhead for a job interview, they were launching the 11th magazine in a portfolio that now numbers nearly 90 across the country. We had grand plans to bring stories about philanthropy, small business growth and family values to our readers who lived in neighborhoods in Buckhead and Brookhaven. Jim and Karyn Slovin hit the pavement to tap businesses that wanted to advertise, reaching you, homeowners nearby who cared about shopping locally (before it became so trendy, I might add). We have met so many motivated entrepreneurs, savvy businessmen and women and generous people along the way who believed in our mission and in print media. Nine years!
