STEVE AND JOYCE THORSON OF MONTANA HONEY BEE COMPANY ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR HONEY. And their honey is seriously delicious... What began as two boxes of bees and a new hobby has developed into a family owned and operated gourmet honey company in downtown Bozeman. MHBC is known for raw, all-natural, unheated, unfiltered honey even the bees can be proud of. It was as natural as, well, honey, that a collaboration of fellow creatives devoted to high craft led to both inspiration and new menu items for Urban Kitchen... think charred crusty toast topped with fresh apple, sweet onions, housemade burrata, and topped with crispy prosciutto and Montana Honey Bee Company’s all-natural Creamed Honey. Yes, please. While Steve and Joyce are experts in honey and bees, Urban Kitchen’s Joe and Meg Romano know how to make a salad even your kids will love. Here are some fan-favorite honey facts, but trust us: It is far better to hear it from Steve directly. Especially because anytime you pop into the shop on Tracy Avenue you can’t help but be wowed by the variety of amazing flavors (Habañero Honey?!) or learn a new fact about cultivating honey and bees.

THE SECRET LIFE OF HONEY
honey facts + CREAMY HONEY: Raw honey that has been crystallized to a smooth, spreadable consistency without any heating or adding anything artificial.
+ INFUSED HONEY: All natural herbs and/or spices with raw unprocessed honey, gently warmed and mixed for two months.
+ SHELF LIFE OF HONEY: Honey never spoils. Pots of still edible honey have been uncovered after thousands of years in Egyptian tombs.
+ ANTIBACTERIAL: Honey is antibiotic. Sugars can kill bacteria and there are natural peroxides that form when honey is put on skin that also help kill bacteria. One bite of this Wildflower Honey Caesar Salad Dressing and you can taste the exquisite chemistry that Montana Honey Bee Company and Urban Kitchen have cooked up elevating the humble honey bee to “culinary magician.”

Noelle adds: “I focus on how we may better passionately seek, provide, and create aesthetically innovative fine jewelry, in an environment that blends our serious commitment to technical expertise with a sense of joy and fun.” The result is a curated collection that is broad in terms of price, style, materials, and origin—presented both in the brick-and-mortar gallery and online. “We strive to have giftables under $50 to suit all sorts of occasions, as well as wow-worthy pieces that can be found nowhere else in the country,” shares Babs. “But the most important part, all pricing aside, is that the process be fun. It’s a shame that jewelry shopping has a reputation for being dull, dry, pushy, or scary. Things this beautiful, selected for a positive connection, should be paired with service that involves listening and education; not selling or pushing.” Alara’s showcases are filled with jewelry that simply cannot be found anywhere else, making it a must-see on your next trip downtown. And Babs wants to remind the women of Bozeman, “...most of whom have a little box of unloved, broken, mismatched jewelry,” that she and team Alara are delighted to reimagine by repairing, refurbishing, replicating, redesigning, and/or re-cutting both diamonds and colored gems - to create a unique treasure you will love for years to come.

Spring is in Full Swing!
SPRING IS IN FULL SWING! One of the many great perks about owning The Loft is all of the amazing people that pass through our doors. I love nothing more than connecting people, and when it happens at The Loft, the energy is truly a celebration of Spring. I couldn’t help but hang around as acupuncturist Zoe Strauss recently gave the enchanting Megan Ulrichs a Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture session. Megan enjoyed a day full of Spring Renewal with Acupuncture and Ayurveda; the experience enhanced using her own line of essential oil treatment products, glō Luxury Oils.

Both Megan and Zoe have been trailblazers in the growth and education of holistic health. Zoe became a household name with the introduction of People’s Republic of Health acupuncture clinic in 2013 and has since grown the PRH Brand to introduce a line of must-have herbal formulas. Megan is a Holistic Nutrition Educator whose passion for using healthy organic foods to fuel the body led to her all star line of organic luxury oils. Writer Anne Lamott says, “Laughter is carbonated joy,” and for these two practitioners, it was a shared day of delight. Zoe began Megan’s acupuncture treatment with a series of needles to clear her nervous system and release muscle tension that the body builds during the winter months. Detoxifying left Megan relaxed, energized and eager to receive the skin transforming Facial Cupping treatment, super-charged with her own decadent glō Regenerative Treatment Oil.
While the oils and needles worked in concert to build collagen and revive cellular integrity, Marshall Harbison, The Loft’s Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant dreamt up a seasonal elixir to help alleviate the heaviness gathered over the winter toward the lighter energy of spring.

VERY CONVERSATION WITH TAUNYA FAGAN, BROKER
AT ESTATE HOUSE, REITERATES THE FIRST IMPRESSION. Taunya is a warm and fun person who loves to be surrounded by fresh flowers but is also a powerful force who emanates professionalism and excellence. When Taunya speaks to how she maintains this consistent presence, she unwaveringly knows that at the core of everything she does is passion and service. This is reflected in her successful real estate career, but also in her relationships with all the people she works with. Speaking with people who Taunya has done business with, especially in the construction industry, their comments reflect the same respect her clients and fellow real estate professionals demonstrate.
“I want to present their asset better than anybody else does and through every marketing platform possible.” ESTATE House is a concept Taunya developed over years of experience, not just in Real Estate, but also in relationships within her industry. Building the Real Estate Co-Op was a carefully designed and lovingly executed plan to help other Brokers to stand alone without being a “Lone Ranger”. They are housed together but work alone without the additional costs and restrictions of being part of a major firm. This masterfully helps them all to be supported but not controlled, but perhaps even more importantly, allows them to offer their seller clients more effective marketing, better representation, at a lower cost. This “win-win” scenario also gives them the free-

dom to truly bloom, which creates even more value to all parties involved. It is, at least in part, why Taunya can confidently look you in the eye and state she probably spends more on marketing than any other Broker in the valley. “I want to present their asset better than anybody else does and through every marketing platform possible.” Taunya will say she does this by utilizing tools she has developed through knowledge and experience, but when you talk with her, it is clear those tools are far more effective in her hands due to her passion to serve mindset at the core of everything she does. Whether you are a buyer or a seller, you can count on Taunya to be deeply committed to “Giving You The Advantage”. CityLifestyle.com/Bozeman
