LIFESTYLE LETTER
Celebrating a (belated) milestone! We’ve all heard the saying, “Life comes at you fast.” This statement has pretty much been the theme of my wife and I’s partnership, over the last fifteen years. In a surprising turn of events, we found ourselves expecting our first child, just two months into our marriage. When August (our son) was four months old, we discovered, yet again, that Katie was pregnant. Wow! Fast forward a couple of years, to 2012, and we had two kids under the age of three, with baby number three on the way. That summer, we made the decision to sell everything we owned and move from Kansas City to Boulder. Ignorance is bliss, and dreams of a new life in Colorado clouded any and all challenges that would come our way. On December 31, 2012, while standing in my parents’ kitchen, we secured the final advertising partnership (via text) needed to launch Boulder Lifestyle. Twenty-two days later, our son Crosby was born, and we were suddenly a family of five! Several weeks following, on a random night while Kate and I were settling into bed, her mom texted us “Happy Anniversary!” We were so far in the weeds juggling babies and starting the magazine that we had totally missed our four-year wedding anniversary. In a similar manner, our February issue marked the tenth anniversary of Boulder Lifestyle Magazine. While we are a month tardy in celebrating this achievement, we would be remiss if we didn’t thank all of our staff, contributors and advertising partners for allowing us to bring the “GOOD NEWS” to the community, for the last ten years. On behalf of my incredible wife, Kate, we thank you, as always, for reading and supporting!

New Artist Santiago Garcia at SmithKlein Gallery SmithKlein Gallery is proud to introduce new artist Santiago Garcia from Uruguay. Garcia is known to incorporate seemingly contradictory elements that he brings into harmony. Some of his paintings show animals in absurd situations revealing a modern world that clashes with the wild. Garcia feels that his paintings should not be fully explained, though much of his work can be seen as a metaphor for family and relationships, and he reminds us of where humans have been and where we’re going.

Home State of Mind with
EMORY and TREVOR HALL ARTICLE BY KAILEY BEUERLEIN PHOTOGRAPHY BY JOE FRIEND PHOTOGRAPHY
“We call it the Red Barn House,” Emory Hall waves towards the maroon painted farm-house that they moved into a little over two years ago. The home, with a music studio and detached out building, have given the Halls exactly what they’ve been looking for; the space to create their art, while nurturing their little family on a quiet cul-de-sac. The creativity is practically oozing out of their self-described “compound,” from the different nooks throughout that provide the perfect escape in a moment of inspiration, to the open aired living room that serves as the magnetic center of the home. Emory and Trevor Hall float through the house describing little pieces of Boulder that live in the foundation, while describing how the home has enabled them to tap into deeper levels of creativity than ever before. “We moved here when I was seven months pregnant,” Emory remembers. “This house has just been a creative beehive.” They never imagined finding a home in their ideal location that also gave them enough space to create. Recounting how it fell into place, there’s a certain synchronicity in the whole thing. Buzzing from room to room, following their two-year-old son Kai around as they try to put on his signature yellow rain boots, Trevor and Emory bounce off each other with ease. Simply being in their presence is creatively stimulating in itself. Writer, photographer, and artist Emory’s work aims to highlight the depth and beauty of the human experience, in all its forms and complexities. Her work draws inspiration from the natural, celebrates our world’s unique cultures, and connects the observer to something both approachable and mystical. When her work overseas halted in the pandemic, Emory’s artistic gaze turned inwards and she began slowly writing again. Not long after, following the birth of her son, it seemed as though the words were pouring out of her, which has resulted in her forthcoming collection of poetry, titled Made of Rivers. “I started writing again after a 10 year hiatus,” Emory explains. “With Kai, it felt as though my words came back to me, and were further nourished by this house and space.” An exploration of the feminine, motherhood, spirituality, love, and transformation Made of Rivers comes out June 21, on the summer solstice. “The album and the book are held together by this house. I’ve never felt so creative in a home.” Simultaneous with Emory’s book coming to fruition, musician Trevor has been able to create for the first time in his home studio; an idea that never really felt possible. “It was a dream that I had for a long time to be able to have my own mustic studio. When we found this house and saw the red barn in the backyard, both Emory and I lit up. We felt like we had found something we had been dreaming of,” says Trevor. When moving in, the Halls started on the first of many projects. They redid the kitchen and repainted everything, but made sure to keep pieces of the home that make it what it is. Previously owned by a glass blower, the now music studio used to be a glass blowing studio that held classes. “That piece of glass,” Emory says as she points to a blue tinged glass piece fixed into one of the walls, “that’s one of his student’s pieces.” A clay wall in the living room was installed by a local claymaker. “There’s so many unique pieces of Boulder and this house’s history throughout the space,” Emory says with pride.
46
H OM E U P DAT E | HOM E + DE S I GN
“Access to nature and a creative community are essential to our lives, and Boulder has both of those in abundance. Both our family and our art has thrived in these mountains and under these skies.” The music studio, a garage now filled with carpets, couches and music equipment, feels warm and energetic. Trevor’s music, a blend of roots and folk with touches of electronic elements, is more than a passion - it is his life’s art. His sold out shows at Red Rocks are just a small testament to his growing fanbase who deeply identify with his music. Trevor’s experience with this upcoming album is different from his previous. “I’ve always had a really humble set up, and wasn’t able to create a full working studio space until now,” he says. “That had greatly impacted my music and allowed me to expand creatively in so many new ways. To have a set space to explore musicially has just been amazing.” The Halls both attribute so much of their creative flush to other artists that have lived in the house. “This space before us was used as a creative space, so that energy I can feel,” describes Trevor.

“It’s intentional, and it's been so, so healing. It's just the beginning.” The space itself has become so deeply interwoven into this next record. “You can’t separate the songs from these four walls. So much of this studio and its surroundings inspired a lot of what I’ve been writing and creating.” “Having the studio at home is perhaps the biggest blessing, as we’ve made so many cherished memories as a family in the space.” To find their work/home life balance, Emory and Trevor are always adapting and pivoting. Living a lifestyle filled with flexibility and spontaneity, the dynamic is always changing. Some months they spend on the road living on a tour bus with their band and crew.
Including Kai in their lives on the road and creative projects has been a profound and fun experience. “He’s the reason for everything we do, so to have him along with us feels like the biggest blessing we could’ve ever received,” Trevor says. Other months, they’re at home and diving into creative projects here at the house, which also has come to serve as a sanctuary. “We spend so much of our lives as extroverts, when we’re both actually introverts naturally,” Emory reveals. “When we can get here, we just recharge.” As for what is next? A tour, a book and a new record. For now, Trevor and Emory are just trying to keep those yellow rain boots on Kai’s feet. He is the real star of the Hall show, after all.

What does sustainability look like? Well, it depends who you ask. At Urban Mattress in Boulder, sustainability means more than just offering eco-friendly products. It also means helping customers think sustainably, buy green products and recycle old mattresses from their homes. “Over eight million mattresses end up in landfills each year. At Urban Mattress, we feel a social responsibility to not only build products that last but also do whatever we can to prevent more landfill buildup,” says Madison Williams, chief marketing officer at Urban Mattress. “We offer free mattress removal so that we can recycle the mattresses. Most are broken down and turned into carpet backing or even dog beds. We also donate to programs such as Refugee First Arrival Apartments and halfway homes.” CONTINUED > MAR CH 2 0 2 3 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . C O M / BO UL D E R

Sustainability is not a new, trendy word for Urban Mattress. It’s something the company and its founder have focused on for years. Urban Mattress owner and founder Billy Williams has worked in the mattress industry for more than 35 years. At the age of 19, Billy arrived in Denver and started selling mattresses out of his truck bed, then a converted gas station off I-25. With $5,000 in cash and knowledge of the industry passed down from his father, he began his journey toward becoming one of the leading innovators in sleep. Urban Mattress is now run by Billy, his son and his daughters, including Madison. When visitors walk into Urban Mattress on Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder, they will quickly see the difference between this family-run business and big-box retailers. First, Urban Mattress’ customer service is genuine from the minute you walk through the door to the moment your mattress is delivered and beyond. Their non-commission-based staff is intentional about listening to each person’s wants and needs before finding the perfect mattress. Unique in the large range of firmness choices, all Urban Mattresses are made with clean, non-toxic materials. While most organic mattresses sold online can be very firm and often exclude side sleepers from finding a mattress with enough pressure relief for hips and shoulders, Urban Mattress has over 10 firmness levels in the organic line alone, and a 100-night sleep trial to make sure that it’s the right fit. “What you’ll find at Urban Mattress that you won’t find anywhere else is not only the highest quality organic products, but the charm and tradition of a family business that has made a name for itself by creating raving fans in Colorado through over-thetop customer service,” Madison says. Purity is another important value at Urban Mattress. The company’s organic line uses organic wool, cotton and latex all with GOLS and GOTS certifications that ensure the materials used are organic. “We select
our raw materials very carefully so that we can be sure they are not only the purest, but the highest quality,” Madison says. The use of organic materials also means mattresses at Urban Mattress last longer than most other brands, Madison says. A mattress purchased from an online brand, for example, uses cheap foam that’s easy to ship. Those mattresses also only last three to five years, Madison added. “We began sourcing materials that no one else was using and found a factory
here in Denver that would build higher quality mattresses for us,” she says. “The comfort life of an Urban Mattress is 12 to 15 years and 15 to 18 years for our organic line — four times the industry standard. Not only is this a commitment to customers, but to sustainability as well.” Urban Mattress 2830 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder 303-440-0288 boulder.urbanmattress.com

Dinner at Lyons’ Marigold is well worth the drive from Boulder. Or from Denver. Heck, it’s worth the drive from Colorado Springs. Marigold is a tiny restaurant in a tiny town, but the food would be notable almost anywhere. On the menu are always two or three hand-mixed, rolled and extruded pastas, including the staple rigatoni, long simmered with pork, lamb, tomatoes and mirepoix for a rich and meaty Bolognese. There are the seemingly straightforward appetizers that throw you for a loop (a very good loop) when your Caesar salad arrives as hand-held bites covered in bonito flakes and puffed rice. And the rest of the concise menu, which rotates every couple of days depending on what chef/owner Theo Adley and his team of talented cooks want to make and what they get from local farmers and ranchers, is rounded out with drive-worthy flavor combinations and preparations.
Theo has worked in many esteemed kitchens around the state— Frasca, Montagna at the Little Nell, the Populist—and Marigold, which opened last July, can go fork-to-fork with any of them. Fried chicken loving Boulderites might recognize him from his now-defunct The Pinyon restaurant, but the food at Marigold is all about what Theo and his team want to cook. Which, luckily for us, is so good that it’s also everything you want to be eating, even if you don’t know it yet. Take that Caesar. The “salad” arrives at your table as two chunks of little gem lettuce covered in the familiar dressing and topped with puffed rice for crunch and large flakes of bonito to stand in for the traditional anchovies. At Marigold, Caesar salad becomes finger food, and it’s way more fun to eat than the classic. That rigatoni Bolognese with pork, lamb and a chile finish is always on the menu, and another pasta—rolled out earlier that

day on the long, wooden table you’ll see as soon as you walk in—joins it. The night I went it was bucatini with prawns, cooked with lobster stock, white wine, chile crisp and a welcome heavy hand of garlic, and it was one of the best pastas I’ve eaten in a while. The trio of entrees are often chicken (the half chicken under a brick with yogurt and fresh herb-loaded salsa verde is another menu staple), a fish and something more— whatever Theo and the kitchen team think would be fun to cook and eat. One night it was cotechino sausage (a thick-sliced Italian sausage), which showed how perfectly Theo nails flavors. The rounds of sausage, with the smashed potatoes, crisp arugula and, the kicker, horseradish cream, was a hearty and majorly satisfying bite when you got all four components together.

Cocktails are similarly great, like the just-sweet-enough pomegranate Aperol spritz and the unique London fog toddy, which combines gin with earl grey tea and a cream float. Wines are focused on low-intervention, organic and biodynamic natural wine producers, which makes for a unique and varied list. The salty ginger cooler mocktail was just as salty and gingery as advertised. While driving up to Lyons may not be what you typically have scheduled for a, say, Wednesday night, it should be. Marigold’s cozy space, balanced drinks and especially Theo’s amazing food, are well worth the miles. Marigold: 405 Main St., Lyons; marigoldlyons.com

It’s no secret that this winter has been stark not just in temperature, but also in how drastically many people have seen their energy bills increase. It’s an issue that Trevor and Liz Seelye, owners of local business Independent Power, seek to help people tackle as they navigate a brighter future with solar and electrification solutions. After years in the corporate world, Liz and Trevor became intrigued by the idea of running their own business together, specifically in a category that would have a positive impact on their community. With Trevor’s longtime focus on finance and global energy, along with Liz’s experience as a forward-looking brand strategist for international companies, diving into the clean energy sector was an ideal fit. The CU-Boulder alums were also drawn to the trend of entrepreneurship through acquisition to buy and build an existing local business. “Across the country, millions of small business owners from the Baby Boomer generation are considering retirement, and many are looking for succession plans,” says Trevor. “Luckily for us, there happened to be a perfect fit.” The pair struck up a connection with the founder of Independent Power Systems, a premium solar and battery storage installation company with a 26-year foundation along the Front Range and in Montana. Ownership of the business transitioned to Liz and Trevor in 2022. Next came an acquisition of residential electrical services company Windward Electric—which specializes in electric vehicle chargers and electric upgrades—and a company rebrand to the more holistic Independent Power.

“With our talented team, we meet the growing demands of our customers to break free from fossil fuels and switch to renewable energy,” says Liz. “Renewable energy is better for our living and working spaces, better for budgets and better for the environment.” Independent Power specializes in helping customers build immediate and multi-year plans to transition their homes, businesses and vehicles to operate with clean energy. In addition to countless solar and electrification projects in and around Boulder, Denver, the Front Range and Bozeman, Independent Power has also built cutting-edge solar, storage, wind and hybrid systems in extreme environments around the world,
including in Rocky Mountain National Park and military bases in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The company is committed to facilitating these transitions through premium solar and battery systems and whole-home electrification solutions. It’s a purpose that dates back to the company’s genesis in 1996. “As a brand born in the backcountry and based in Boulder, our mission is to help everyone reclaim their energy independence,” says Liz. “We want to help you take full control of how you power your home and keep the lights on even when the grid goes out.” The benefits of using clean energy are many, from improved indoor air quality to reduced carbon emissions, lower bills and energy consistency.
Trevor also notes that residential solar transitions don’t have to be as intimidating as they might seem in cost or process. Transitioning to solar and electric begins with a quick energy analysis to understand current and future needs. After assessing a building’s size, roof angle and direction with digital renderings, the Independent Power team creates a custom plan. Then they manage the entire installation process from planning and permitting to equipment installation and activation. “Another common misconception about solar is that the payback period on a system is too long,” says Trevor. “The cost of a residential solar system varies based on size and quality. But there are easy, flexible financing options and more incentives and tax credits than ever before.”
Trevor notes that the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act includes $4.3 billion in home electrification and efficiency rebates. The solar and battery federal tax credit was returned to 30% and there are other rebates, credits and benefits for EV chargers, main panel upgrades and heat pumps so you never have to fill your car at the gas station or worry about heating and cooling. “It may not be completely apparent right now, but the Inflation Reduction Act—and similar policies around the western world—are going to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuel-powered homes and cars,” says Trevor. “Electric vehicles, heating and cooling and appliances will ensure energy independence and help us all future-proof our homes.”

Emily Tuck
The daughter of two creatives growing up in Los Angeles, Emily Tucker has been surrounded by the fine arts since day one. After studying architecture at CU Boulder and becoming certain she didn't want to be an architect, she scored a job as a temporary assistant to an interior designer and was hooked. Working in LA to New York where she gained most of her experience, Emily and her now husband picked Boulder to settle and have never looked back.

"Everyone brings their flavor to our beautiful slice of paradise.” "One of the greatest joys of my work is creating spaces for people to live their lives," Emily expresses. Juniper House, one of her designed homes on Juniper Street in Boulder, enabled homeowner Ann Burzynski to do just that. “We bought the home in January of 2001, and I didn’t have the stylistic ability to fill the empty house,” Ann recalls. “After a few meetings with my husband and I, Emily had our style pegged. I didn't dislike anything she ever showed us. She made this house the most beautiful house I’ve ever lived in.” Emily's design process starts with the client and the house. "What are the clients like? Are they entertainers? Kids? Pets? And from there I narrow down the spirit or vibe of the project," Emily explains. She takes the time to understand the personality of both the client and the home, all filtered through her design lens. "I share some images of the direction I want to go, and that will sort of pave the way for the overall aesthetic." Boulder itself inspires Emily in the sense that its residents (mostly) all come from somewhere else, ranging from east to west coast and everywhere in between. "Everyone brings their flavor to our beautiful slice of paradise,” Emily says. And that allows for her work to pull from a plethora of genres of design. With a growing young family of her own, Emily's priority of keeping work and home life separate ensures that her clients and her team know they aren't working all the time. "But at the same time," she explains, "my kids have been on a lot of job sites and been to their fair share of antique shops. I spend an ungodly amount of time looking at vintage furniture. Like way too much. But I love it!"

Laughing around a kitchen island, Boulder has yet to see a group more gracious in the home of a new friend. The passion of the Willow crew is palpable. A small, scrappy team made up of three go-getters share one goal in mind: to give Boulder homeowners their time back while building deep relationships as they trust them with the ins and outs of their homes. Growing up in New England where his father worked as a carpenter, Willow Home founder Nick Karas saw firsthand the stress his dad and homeowners go through from all jobs, big to small. "It opened my eyes," Nick remembers. After studying architecture and business while watching other industries continue to innovate, Nick saw that nothing was happening in the home improvement space. “Why is it that your toaster oven comes with a longer user manual than your home? One of our most valuable assets is one we often know the least about.” He identified a niche yet relevant need for a home concierge in Boulder. Enter: Willow, and their unique process. Willow Home acts as a single point of contact, high end home concierge to alleviate homeowners the stress of all things home management. Not to be confused with a “handyman” service, the subscription based company is backed by home technology and uses custom home dashboards for every client they service. Ranging from details like the make and model of appliances, mechanical systems, down to serial numbers, Willow wants to know it all, to guarantee effective problem solving in homes to provide above and beyone care. Their focus on hospitality, innovation and relevance is what helps Boulder homeowners recognize what needs to be done, and get it done right the first time. “Our team is unique. We give a damn,” says Nick. “We care deeply about our clients, their needs and how we can best show up for them and their home.” The team, consisting of Nick and home concierges Anna Thexton and Michael
Kettler, bring a diverse set of experiences ranging from general contracting, property management and customer service.
TESTIMONY: “I hope you don't get tired of me saying it, but we're so grateful for all you and your team does! Kate and I talk quite a bit about how impossible it would have been to do all this work on the house without you and Willow Home. So thank you again!” Building relationships with vendors stands as one of the most important things the Willow team does. They have years of experience to back their decisions in identifying the best trades, building strong relationships with them and guaranteeing that they’re up to Willow Home standards. “We want to work with the best of the best, and when things go wrong, we’re all here to make it right.” They know what you might be thinking: “Yes it's a new concept," Nick acknowledges. "It's been proven in Boulder to provide a ton of value to high value clients. At every touch point, we're there to make it special." Their service has spread mainly through word of mouth, whether it be from neighbors, vendors or high end Boulder realtors. At the heart of Willow is their magnetic and dynamic team that loves Colorado and their local community. “We want to create a new standard of home care and raise the tides for all vendors by leading by example,” Nick expresses. For now, they’re focused on growing intentionally, delivering a ton of value and continuing to nurture the Boulder community and the people in it. “Boulder is unique, it’s filled with beautiful homes and intelligent people who have worked hard to be successful and live to experience life without becoming a servant to their home. They want autonomy of their time, and we help give it to them.”

With Her Denver Shop and Studio, Jerri Hobdy Is Changing the World of Furnishings—And The Future—One Cactus Leather Chair at a Time ARTICLE BY KATHERINE OWEN

Every year, around 12 million tons of furniture end up in U.S. landfills. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, discarded carpets and rugs add another 2.5 million tons on top of that. But this isn’t a story about problems, but about solutions–chic ones, at that. When Jerri Hobdy, a Denver-based furniture and lighting designer, first started out, the role of sustainability within the design industry was nebulous—and niche. “Early on, around 2013 to 2017, the biggest roadblock for me was how other designers or production managers or factory owners perceived ‘sustainability’ as too expensive to achieve or not something that the customer would actually want,” Jerri recounts.
But in the decade since, those myths have been dismantled, thanks in part to consumer research groups like the Sustainable Furnishings Council, The Green Science Policy Group at UC Berkeley, 1stDibs and The Ellen MacArthur Foundation. “Not only has consumer research shown true interest, but also purchase data and the rise of purpose-driven brands has reflected consumer sentiment as well,” Jerri explains. For Jerri, her solution comes in the form of MENO, her Denver-based design studio and shop, which is founded on three big values: “Waste reduction, the use of climate-friendly materials and lower carbon logistics.” “MENO is not unique in that we are another purpose-driven brand. However, we are unique in how holistically we are
approaching issues of sustainability, from how we manage inventory, to where we manufacture, to what materials we do and don’t use, to how transparently we are disclosing the really fine details of the finished goods,” Jerri says. In practice, this looks like eliminating health-hazardous chemical materials like flame-retardants, VOCs like formaldehyde, PVCs and antimicrobial coatings from the products, reducing the use of plastics and virgin synthetic materials and designing with renewable raw materials instead. MENO has also committed to forgoing plastic packaging,

At MENO’s downtown shop, you’ll find a curation of Jerri’s “polished but layered” style in both new and vintage pieces. “All of these are initial explorations in what it looks like to manufacture in the US and to use materials that are traceable back to the source, using as many clean, climate-friendly components as possible,” she says. “Each of the groups is growing and will keep having new silhouettes added.” “Right now, we are working on the next wave of the limited edition Petra tables. In April, we will be launching a giant, gorgeous sculptural wood sofa as part of the Madera grouping. And then the Brut capsule will be getting a dining chair and lounge chair silhouette added,” she continues. “The Petra pieces are the most expressive and unique in that each time we create more, they are completely one-of-a-kind.” To get that distinct, statement-making look, Jerri visits local stone yards and hand-picks remnant marble or granite pieces that may otherwise be discarded. At the studio, what would otherwise be waste is transformed into striking monolithic tables. “I want to show people that ‘sustainable’ designs can be anything but boring and actually quite expressive and unique,” she says. To shop the collection as well as MENO’s collection of clean, in-house candles, stop by MENO HOME Tuesday through Sunday or book a private appointment with the studio at menohome.com.

KILN
ICH WITH COMMUNITY CONNECTION
A STRONG TENET OF KILN’S MISSION IS TO ELICIT EMOTIONAL ENGAGEMENT AND STRENGTHEN MENTAL HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE.
ARTICLE BY TONY FIRESTINE
Just about everyone’s work landscape has transformed to some degree since the beginning of the pandemic. Businesses both large and small continue to alter their environments to best suit their own needs and the needs of their collaborators. Since October 2020, Kiln has been providing a warm and welcoming space and a curated coworking environment to its members while fostering a sense of community and connection on Boulder’s Pearl Street. I was recently extended an invitation to work out of Kiln Boulder for a day and I was excited at the chance for a change of scenery (my home office could probably use an upgrade). After an amiable welcome and an in-depth tour, I was able to nestle in, enjoy the versatile and engaging surroundings, and see the connections of like-minded members networking and achieving their own individual business goals in an open and modern setting. Kiln membership is offered at different levels that allow you to be flexible in scaling your business with the potential of having your membership grow with you and your team. During my visit, I chose to utilize the shared desks and the open-layout coworking space complete with a charming café stocked with healthy snacks and beverage options; this section of Kiln’s space is included with the entry-level Club Membership. The subsequent level, Resident Desk Membership, includes a sizable private desk in an open, yet more private area; this makes the most sense for a small team or individual working out of Kiln on a consistent basis. Kiln also offers Private Office and Studio Memberships; the former has the option to host private space for one to 20 people and the latter accommodates a team of up to 50. Each membership level includes the use of Kiln’s many conference rooms, event spaces and theater (all are also CONTINUED >

members to host their own events, which has inspired a member-led book club, trivia and pickleball groups. With 11 coworking spaces in the Western states (CO, CA, UT, ID and OR), your Kiln membership covers each current and rapidly growing future location; ideal for individuals that find themselves traveling for work. Kiln locations fit into communities replete with nature and outdoor activities; of course, Boulder is no exception. Treadmill/bike desks are even an option for those that choose to stay active throughout the entire workday and onsite showers give you the opportunity to freshen up after your morning bike ride or run to your workspace. In the interest of local collaboration, Kiln hosts a myriad of networking events featuring partnerships with local businesses-Boulder-based Rasa Coffee Alternatives, Yoga Pearl and Apocalypse, just to name a few. Kiln’s design aesthetic is specific to enabling collaboration. From the wide-open and eclectic environment to an outdoor space that matches the comfort and style of the indoors, all the details are taken into consideration. The built-in phone booths and “deep work” rooms for privacy, the bespoke furniture designed specifically for each Kiln location, and the built-in top-notch technology all make it easier for you to focus on what’s important for you to be successful. Kiln is truly intent on helping its members express themselves to their full potential and finding that healthy balance at the intersection of work and lifestyle.
