Dear ActionVISION Friend,

Are you as excited as I am about you joining the ActionVISION family and network of amazing people, systems, and tools?

We are passionate about the ActionVISION experience. We need your help to provide an amazing life / business-changing experience. We need you to promise to always be honest with us.

If at any time, you are not having an amazing experience, please promise to share that with us … immediately! Because we’ve been doing this since 1991, we’ve been told that we’re really good at knowing what you may want or need … but … we still need your help.

One of our biggest challenges is that we have so many tools and systems we can help you with in so many ways. Every plan and coaching session is customized to help you have the most amazing experience.

Again, please share all your thoughts on how we can improve the experience you and others receive.

Imagine … three months, six months … a year or more from now. “What do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel / experience, and what can we do to help you experience that experience?

Sincerely,

As we mentioned previously, ActionVISION has millions of dollars' worth of systems, tools, and resources. There are things you will use now and others you won't, and things you won’t use now but will later.

Your ActionVISION team is devoted to helping you use the best tools/systems and resources effectively.

Purpose

How much money and time are we losing because we don't understand our personalities (how and why we think the way we do)? How can we better understand others? Our goal for this ActionVISION coaching resource is for your ActionVISION coaching team to help you better understand yourself and everyone you work with.

Foundation

In all areas of life, the more we know about people … the more we know we don’t know. :-) Personality Masteries, the DNA for PEOPLE, is the first part of the BOS ~ Business Operating System.

The DNA for PEOPLE is the first of the three DNA types and will help us understand every human being we interact with, both personally and professionally. It will help us in our business to improve marketing, pre-sales, sales, and servicing, and to create client-for-life relationships. Furthermore, it will help us with recruiting, onboarding, leadership, management, and referral development … i.e., helping everyone in all areas of our lives to BEcome all they were created to BE.

There are three elements within the BOS, and all three interconnect. In coaching, we’ll learn some parts of each of the three separately. But we’ll always look to blend all three elements into something magical for you and your business.

Natural Laws are like the “Law of Gravity,” and we have discovered over 500 of them over the last 30+ years.

You, your vision, every team member, every client, and everyone you know have the potential for amazing success.

Think of “Natural Laws ~ DNA for LIFE” as oil on your property. It’s great to have oil … if you have the knowledge “Personality Masteries ~ DNA for People” of how to drill it and the equipment “The 5/30 Grid ~ DNA for BUSINESS” to finish the job. Your ActionVISION coaching team will help you learn the three different elements and then how to best blend them all together to help you achieve the vision for your company.

[ ] - Section 1 ~ Learn About Ourselves

Self-Awareness ~ How much do you think you know about yourself? Why do you do the things you do? Why do you think the way you think and respond to others the way you do?

Deeply learning about ourselves is the first step in learning about others. Think of it as chemicals: mixing them produces different results. Have you ever met someone and “just liked them” or maybe “just didn’t like them”? Why is this?

Understanding our personality and why we do or don’t do things will help us understand why others respond to us or don't.

[ ] - Section 1-1 ~ 17 Second Survey

Once you complete both of these questions, your ActionVISION coaching team will help you better understand what this means for you and those around you. Ask your ActionVISION coaching team about the Life GPS mobile app and how that powerful tool could be used in amazing ways. Also, ask them for their recommendations on which groups you could join which would bring you the most value.

[ ] - Section 1-2 ~ The Process …

Once you complete your personality survey, your ActionVISION coaching team will help you understand what it all means.

As you gain experience with Personality Masteries, it becomes fun. You can give anyone on your ActionVISION coaching team the three sets of numbers (Geo, Pain, and Combined), which can help you deeply understand anyone or everyone in your life.

In the next section, you’ll map out each team member's personality. This will help you understand how your personality and each team member's personality can help you work together and lead to fantastic flow and harmony, or how to identify which personality is causing a wrench in productivity.

Learning about others is as easy as asking them the four shapes and the four things that cause them the most frustration. The subjects can be family, friends, co-workers, employees, clients …, or anyone else. Just follow these steps, and you’ll be all set.

[ ] - Section 2 ~ Learn About Others

After we complete Section 1, your ActionVISION coaching team will give you all the parts for Section 2.

You can start by asking others you know about the above at any time, and then fill in the following.

[ ] - Section 3 ~ Learning About Teams / Groups

After we complete Sections 1 and 2, your ActionVISION coaching team will give you all the parts for Section 3.

You can start by asking others you know about the above at any time, and then fill in the following.

Name Position Geo Pain Combined

To determine what communications frequency we tend to reside in, look at the four frequencies below, and in the gray box, put #1 in the one that attracts you the most, then #2, then #3, and #4. One of the best courses is Personality Masteries - Level 1 Certification. It’s a 12-week course and will change all aspects of one’s life if you allow it.

[ ] - Section 8 ~ Forms for employees / prospective employees

You can print the next page and have your employees complete the survey. If you want them to answer other questions, work with your ActionVISION coach to modify the survey.

“New Team Member Survey” is for prospective employees. Individuals you are interviewing or considering hiring. Once you get them to answer these questions, give the answers back to your ActionVISION for additional input. Talk with your ActionVISION coach about how to best use these tools/systems.

There are no right or wrong answers, good or bad. There are just answers/information that will help you, as a business owner, better understand your current employees and help them achieve tremendous success and become more productive.

Ask your ActionVISION coaching team to give you access to the ActionVISION Recruiting / Hiring Workbook. ~ click here ~

● NOTE: The workbook may be too much for you to implement immediately. Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team about the best time to start building those systems.

● The great news is that many of the systems you are starting to design and build for other areas of your business can be used directly to recruit, hire, train, and mentor your team members. As previously shared, the 5/30 Grid can be used to build your business and recruit.

The GEO personality test is often associated with the personality we were born with. It’s in our very DNA. The PAIN personality test seems more like something we pick up over the course of our lives. Both tests may match, be 100% opposite, or show some difference.

There are four major personalities: 16 types at the primary and secondary levels, 64 at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, and 256 at the primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary levels. When you consider ALL the possibilities from the GEO and the PAIN, there are 65,536 possible combinations. But … no worries, just learn the four well, and you’ll understand all the various personalities more daily.

The GEO helps us understand one part of a person: their natural or fun state. We may refer to this, and the PAIN helps us understand what causes someone to experience frustration/pain and/or how they respond to frustration/pain.

The combination principle helps us to understand the person as a whole. All three vantage points are essential to understanding how we can help ourselves and those around us to “Become who we were created to be.”

People often ask whether it’s better to have similar people working together or people with different personality types. It tends to be EASIER if they are similar, but if they are different, the group will tend to be stronger … if they don’t kill one another first. ☺

Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team about each of the different perspectives from a personality mapping perspective.

When you think of being frustrated, what do you think of? As human beings, we tend to view frustration as something negative. Through ActionVISION coaching, we can see the positive side of frustration.

There are 3 elements to frustration.

1. How hard we WORK.

2. How much we CARE.

3. Our level of EXPECTATION.

a. Ourselves

b. Systems

c. Others

So, our natural response to frustration is to reduce its pain: we work less, care less, and lower our expectations, which reduces the pain in the short term. But, in the long term, we become stuck.

If we understand the NEXT Dimension principle, we know we’re in a dimensional GAP. If we don’t break through our frustration, we can get stuck in that GAP, which is where negative stress, pressure, anxiety, and even anger can build up. ~ ”click here” ActionVISION coaching link ~

[ ] - 02. Respect

As team members, we probably all know we need to respect our clients, but what does that even mean? Did you know that based on people’s personalities, what is respect for one personality is actually disrespect for another personality? Strange … Right!

To learn the basics of this, we’ll use the “PAIN” quadrant of personality testing. The “PAIN” testing reveals what causes someone to get frustrated or angry and/or how you respond when you are frustrated or angry.

Amiable

The individual who chooses the Ball and/or doesn’t like Conflict will tend to be the amiable personality.

Respect

The amiable personality tends to respect people who are nice, kind, and considerate. They tend not to like people who are direct, loud, or pushy.

What’s Strange …

The amiable, while they don’t like people who cause conflict, they don’t realize how much conflict they tend to cause. How? They tend to avoid addressing issues, problems, and conflicts, so they just build up and get so big that they can become like a volcano. Talk to your ActionVISION coach for additional details.

People will take advantage of them … which they obviously don’t like, but what they don’t realize is how they take advantage of others. They are really nice and will tend to tell people what they want to hear, befriend them, and then, without even realizing it, use their niceness to take advantage of others.

With Clients …To Gain Respect

Work hard to ensure that everything is in writing and that it’s clear to everyone what is expected. If they switch things up, be patient, calm, and point back to what is in writing. Work to find out what they would like / what would make them happy. Say, “I will check with the leadership team and try to get what you are asking for.” Always be calm, patient but be firm when you say … “We can do what you are asking for and it will cost to do that.”

Analytic

The individual who chooses the Cube and/or doesn’t like when things are Out Of Order will tend to be the analytic personality.

Respect

The analytic personality tends to respect people who are detail-oriented, don't talk much, choose their words carefully, and don’t make mistakes. Like the amiable, they tend not to like people who are direct, loud, or pushy.

What’s Strange …

The analytic can make some of the biggest mistakes, as they may at times fail to see the big picture. While they don’t like people who make mistakes, they can make some doozies and will often have a hard time seeing they made one… i.e., if we don’t know we made a mistake, we really can’t learn from it. If the analytic is so good with details, why do they make mistakes? They will often struggle to see the big picture, and that is one of the biggest mistakes a person can make.

With Clients …To Gain Respect

There’s a saying about analytics. Never get into an argument with an analytic because even if they are wrong, they have enough data to make it look like they are right. Talk to your ActionVISION coach for additional details.

These types of clients/customers will often drive you crazy, as they take more time/money to serve, can be very picky, and can be unthankful/ungrateful even after you work like crazy to make them happy. Often, if you have analytical team members to deal with these types of clients, that can work well, but even then, analytics can hate working with other analytics.

The positive is that analytic personalities often hang out with a lot of other analytic personalities, so they could refer you to a lot of business, if you have strong enough systems in place to service them well and still make a profit. Seek to build a culture of being flawless. Not perfect, but less flawed. When they are right, you’ve made a mistake/something could have been done better, then quickly embrace that, admit you were wrong / could have been better, praise them for how smart they are and how you are modifying your system, and how much we appreciate their feedback.

Expressive

The individual who chooses the Wavy Line and/or doesn’t like when things are Boring or Not Fun will tend to be the expressive personality.

Respect

The expressive personality tends to respect people who are fun, exciting, full of life and energy, and, even more, people who value them and their gifts and talents. Like the amiable, they tend to like being around people, but what's different is that the expressive can be very direct.

What’s Strange …

The expressive … often seems to blow things up, to create drama and even conflict. It’s like they feel awakened … alive when there is chaos, which naturally causes conflict for the amiable, mistakes for the analytic, and things being out of control for the driver. So … yes, it seems like they create pain for all the personalities. Hmmm … this is strange.

With Clients …

These types of clients will probably be a lot of fun to have, but also a pain, due to their natural tendencies and who they are likely to be married to. Opposites tend to attract, so the expressive is often married to the analytic. Think about that for a moment. Fun … yes, but a pain to clean up after as well. ☺ Talk to your ActionVISION coach for additional details.

The secondary personality can be as important as the primary. So with all personality types, look at their secondary personality, especially the expressive ones, as that will help you to ride this wild stallion.

To gain respect, laugh at their jokes, have a lot of fun with them, don’t take life too seriously, and have a sense of humor. If you can also protect them, their team, and their spouse from their excesses, tendencies to shoot and then ask questions rather than aiming first, help them plan things out so it’s fun for everyone, not just for them.

Driver

The individual who chooses the Pyramid and/or doesn’t like things when they are Out Of Control tends to be a driver personality.

Respect

The driver personality tends to respect people who are direct, confident, skilled at what they do, willing to engage in heated conversations, and able to hold their own. Like the expressive, they tend to be aggressive/assertive but will be that with tasks vs. people. People often won’t like the driver because they are so direct.

What’s Strange …

The driver … seems like they aren’t nice or caring, but when you get to know them, they can be some of the most caring people in the world. They just care in a very different way than the other personality types. They value truth highly, and they may think they are a gift from God to you. What we mean by that is that they may believe “God offends the mind, to reveal the heart.” So they are just doing God’s work when they offend you. It’s strange but interesting for sure.

With Clients …

If the driver client tells you they feel something is out of control and you’re sure it’s not … take them very seriously. They are hyper sensitive about control and can SEE into the future and sense when things are out of control far faster than other personality types. Just trust us … if you are an expert in what you do for a living and they tell you things are out of control, you ignore it … if they are right, which they often are, they will run you over and then back over you again. It will not be nice because you didn’t listen to us about listening to them. Talk to your ActionVISION coach for additional details.

In some ways, the driver personality can be your hardest client, but it can be your best client. They can help you solve problems your business has had for years, and they can help you build a far more successful business.

Did you join the Life GPS web and mobile app yet? If not, do so right now. You can join on a smartphone or a computer. To gain the respect of a driver, do your job right, the first time, and don’t make them come in and do your job for you.

[ ] - 03. Cloning Success

What’s the difference between a business that is successful and one that is not? It’s how the business owner thinks, and every one of the team members thinks. As business owners and team members, we often underestimate the value of every team member being humble and seeking to become who they were created to be.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. One moldy strawberry will quickly cause the others to become moldy. The cloning success of the business owner and each team member who seeks success is the focus of this specific training model.

1. 4 Levels Of Learning

Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team about the 4 levels of learning and how that applies to you and your team.

Another great model that will help in cloning success is the Flawless Thinking model.

Work with your ActionVISION coaching team to internalize the “The Warm Belly Rub” principle as it applies to cloning success and move from Level 3 to Level 4. Business owners and successful team members will gradually get better over time and not even realize it, and/or people will have natural skills based largely on personality and/or things their parents trained them in. We as human beings often don’t realize how amazing we are in certain areas and/or how unusual that is.

Work with your ActionVISION coaching team to develop processes, what’s called an SOP ~ Standard Operating Procedure. Start with one to three of these, then expand as needed.

Cloning success is not easy … it’s Hard Work, it takes Sacrifices and taking risks, but not cloning success and always owning a job rather than owning a company is far harder work in the long run.

[ ] - 04. Break Procrastination!

Goal: To learn the true cost of procrastination and then to STOP IT!

Why Do People Procrastinate?

1. They don’t know the true cost of not doing something.

2. They don’t know the true benefit of doing something.

3. They don’t have the bandwidth to do things.

We often make things a LOT more complicated than they need to be. We often want to explain to someone WHY we do something or WHY we don’t, and/or we just like to talk. Watch this short video to learn how to “STOP IT!”

Question: Is it procrastinating if I don’t prioritize something?

Answer: Believe it or not, it’s “Not Procrastinating” then. Why? Because we are intentional about prioritizing things, that’s valuable.

So … what this means is that we are intentional about our time we put ourselves in. So … NEVER and we do mean never say “I didn’t have enough time for . ” as that is you lying to yourself and others and that will enslave your mind to thinking that you don’t have an abundance of time. Memorize two numbers. 1,440 minutes/day// 10,080 minutes/week. We have a lot of time! Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team about this.

Solutions ~ Take 10 minutes a day for 30 days and go through “The Secret About Time.” We strongly recommend going for the Silver or Gold level ☺

> https://solution dnaforsuccess com/secret-about-time-10-videos

Remember … If we are a great steward of our time and the time of others around us, we will have an abundance of time. We just will.

Thoughts / Ideas / Insights / Action I Will Take

Ok … let’s talk about how each of the four personalities may tend to procrastinate without even realizing it. Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team and work hard to internalize this for ourselves and how we need to change.

Ok … after you have reviewed this with your ActionVISION coaching team, list everything you can think of, then determine which of the 5 Time Management Freedom Fighters you will use … OR … time-block when you will get it done. 1. Delegate // 2. Systematize // 3. Contract Out // 4. Hire // 5. Partner

Iterations to Success

Once you think you have an understanding of the above, then cover “Iterations to Success” with your ActionVISION coaching team. Remember … to have the life we want, we need to learn to think differently. This concept helps us to “kill stuff” faster. We have all seen that whatever success we have in life is due in large part to our personality … i.e., how we think. But our strengths will often hold us back as well.

Talk with your ActionVISION coaching team about the 10 videos on The Secret About Time and then the 7 T’s To Stewardship.

1. Time // 2. Talents // 3. Treasure // 4. Trust // 5. Truth // 6. Temple // 7. Thought

Thoughts / Ideas / Insights / Action I Will Take

[ ] - 05. Diversification in business

Goal: Learn the best thinking process to know when to add/subtract new product/service lines to your business.

Questions / Considerations

1. Do we add new product/service lines?

2. What is causing us to ask this question?

3. What are the pros and cons of doing this?

This is an advanced question that incorporates all three of the DNA’s within your BOS. Work closely with your ActionVISION coach to help you determine the best path to follow.

The more we understand the 5/30 Grid, the better our decision-making will be. If we’ve developed the first nine boxes (The Golden Triangle) in The 5/30 Grid, we’ll have the foundation in place to take any new product/service to market faster and turn it into a profit center. One of the biggest reasons for having profit centers (new products/services) is to allow current employees/team members to learn and grow, and potentially have a “piece of the action” where they can earn profit through their own product/service… profit center. It is STRONGLY recommended that you, as the owner, and anyone considering doing this, go through every lesson on this website. Also important to manage Up & Out to your ActionVISION coaching team. Do NOT underestimate the importance of everyone doing this.

All three elements of your BOS are important to your success in diversifying and expanding your business. Having the best person to lead a division (profit center) is key. Each personality will have strengths and weaknesses in successfully pulling this off.

Almost always, it’s far easier to start a division / separate profit center than to start a company from scratch, and everyone will earn more money and do it faster. “Yes” … divisions can grow to where they’re larger than the “parent company” and, at the right time, can break off into their own company.

When developing a new profit center, we need the right leader(s) … someone who is willing to learn to think like a business owner. Normally, it’s in everyone’s best interest to start with the goal of making the division/profit center so successful that it could grow into a separate company on its own.

Who are the best possible candidates, and/or who is your ideal candidate?

People often want to own a company and/or run a division/profit center, but they don’t know how much WORK it will take, how much SACRIFICE is required, or the RISKS that come with it. It’s important that those who are potentially interested also go through the 5 Levels of WANT.

In addition to your ActionVISION, you’ll also want a strong accounting firm that understands cost accounting and systems, as well as the entire BOS (Business Operating System)—other great concepts to talk with your ActionVISION coaching team.

Box 25: R&D & Box 28: Process for new Products. "Research & Development” often comes from asking questions of our current and past clients about their needs.

Box 27: Penetration / Expansion ~ This can bring the new division to profitability a lot faster.

Box 19: Large New Lead Sources ~ One large new lead source … referral partners … connections can bring a new profit center to profitability faster with less work and/or time investment.

Box 20: Dollar Results Marketing ~ How do we use our current databases/networks and technology to produce highly profitable leads?

Box 22: Measure All Costs ~ If your accounting firm is certified in BOS, they can help you allocate all your costs appropriately to ensure the new division is truly profitable and carries its fair share.

This potentially has created more questions than answers … and that’s good for everyone. What questions and/or assignments do you have?

[ ] - 06. Partnering With Retail ~ [Box 16]

Goal: Build systems to leverage retail and service industries for the mutual benefit to everyone and bring massive value to customers / clients.

Case Study: Harmony Hill Sales is a furniture story and looking to partner with other businesses for the mutual benefit of everyone.

Questions

/

Considerations

1. What value can we bring to EVERYONE of Harmony Hill Sales’ customers and prospective customers?

2. How do we execute the plan in the most effective manner?

3. How do we ensure that everyone involved is working hard to bring mutual benefit to the customers first and foremost and then to one another?

Life Masteries Institute (LMI), a non-profit, is partnering with ActionVISION to use the booklet library to choose which booklets would be best to give out to everyone who comes into the store. After reviewing the demographics (type of customers) we decided to give the “Pickleball Changed Our Lives” and “Financial Freedom” and “Your Voice In My Headset” booklets as a good place to start.

Steps To Success

Step 1: Choose the best booklets to use.

Step 2: Review in GREAT detail the booklet(s).

NOTE: It’s great to hand out a booklet, but will that generate business? Often not just by slapping an ad in there, but to be intentional with an ad or even better yet, a product placement. Ideally all the companies/organizations which are part of the booklet meet and calibrate together to insure that everyone is “carrying their own weight.”

● “Yes” you may be able to customize any of the booklets you give out to your specific goals/needs.

○ Your ActionVISION can introduce you to an LMI representative to determine the details on how this would best work to bring the most value to everyone involved.

Step 3: Create a written detailed strategy for implementation. NOTE: Ideally have a measurable goal for this campaign with specific actions which, if we do the right actions, in the right way, with the right people, we’ll get a predictable outcome.

Step 4: Review results … modify plan, work plan … repeat. The opportunities in developing referral partnerships is mindblowing. One key referral partnership can open the door for millions of dollars in new prospects / sales. Work with your ActionVISION and consider using the project planning system in your ActionVISION book, Appendix C3.

] - 07. Attending Trade Shows & Events ~ [Box 19]

Goal: Learn how to attend tradeshows & events to build business / develop strong partnerships as a result of attending.

Questions / Considerations

1. What if I’m shy / an introvert …?

2. Should I connect this with #06. Partner with Retail / booklets?

3. What if a number of people are attending together?

4. How do I put it into a system?

Answers / Thoughts …

1. What if I’m shy / an introvert …?

Answer: Apply “5 Seconds of Courage” and ask people questions

Possible Script ~ “Hi their name , my name is your name and you have an interesting (booth/product/service, something to compliment them). I was just curious if you do any work with other companies on referring business back and forth? (Listen very deeply and carefully) Here is a booklet that we helped develop which helps to partner with others. In our business, we like to think of it as ‘When the tide rises all the boats in that port rise together ”

2. Should I connect this with Q#06. Partner with Retail / booklets?

Answer: Yes, do this!

Remember the average person knows 250 people whereas the average business owner knows 5,500+ people

3. What if a number of people are attending together?

Answer: If you have a number of people attending the event together you can “work the room.”

4. How do I put it into a system?

Answer: What does “Work the room mean?” If there are four people, then think of the event / the room as a piece of paper and you send the four people to the outer corners and then work in.

Often the goal is to gather up as many business cards/contact information as possible and then use “The Golden Triangle” … BACEE on those new potential individuals.

Often learning to do some level of the 30 Minute Strategy Session (30mss) will help you to quickly draw others into you (Level 1 Questions ~ 3 minutes) and then quickly determine if you want to work with them (Level 2 Questions ~ 11 minutes). That then moves you to Level 3 Questions where you have 16 minutes to ask them other types of questions, share key information about their personality, helping them to solve their biggest challenge (BC) or whatever else you would like to do. Talk with your ActionVISION coaching them about helping you do this.

Question

What about personality types? How does that affect the questions / approach?

Answer

We can use the same questions in most situations, but will ask the question in a different way. Our voice - tone - pitch - speed - words we use would change depending on the personality type of individual we are selling to.
