From the moment Kenzi Joy Photography stepped inside the venue, she knew it was the perfect setting for an upscale, elegant editorial. With soaring ceilings, historic architecture and timeless character, the space made a statement on its own, allowing the design team to embrace a refined, minimalist aesthetic. A classic black-and-white palette set the tone, with black chairs, crisp white linens and ceramic dinnerware creating a look that felt effortlessly sophisticated. Thoughtfully arranged floral centerpieces in glass vases complemented the table's elegant glassware, while subtle greenery echoed the venue's warm wood accents, adding a natural touch without overwhelming the design. The lush greenery installation used in place of a traditional ceremony arbor tied beautifully into the reception florals, creating a cohesive look throughout the shoot. Framed by soft white blooms that blended seamlessly with the attire, the couples became the focal points of this timeless and sophisticated design!
The team showcased multiple couples throughout the editorial, each bringing their own distinct sense of style. The menswear offered three sophisticated looks: one groom wore a striking white jacket, another opted for a refined navy jacket and the third embraced timeless elegance in classic black. THE EASIEST GUIDE TO
AFTER THE WEDDING changing your last name
Y our newlywed bliss can quickly come to an end when it comes time to endure the dreaded task of changing your last name. The legal process can often take the romance out of taking your significant other’s last name. If you get yourself organized with the proper documents, the process can be less strenuous, allowing you to continue to revel in your newlywed happiness.
1.
GET THE ORIGINAL MARRIAGE LICENSE FROM THE CLERK’S OFFICE
The original license should come from the clerk’s office where your license was filed. One should automatically be sent to you a couple weeks after the wedding. The original document should have a raised seal and your new last name. Also, it’s a good idea to request copies.
2. REQUEST A NEW SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
If you visit the Social Security Administration’s website, you can find an application for a change of name here. This is a free service. Print the application, fill it out, and include any required documents. You can either take your application to a nearby Social Security office or mail it in. You should receive your new card with your new last name in approximately 10 days.
3.
APPLY FOR A NEW LICENSE AT THE BMV
Getting a new license from the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles office requires a few documents, namely your old license, the original marriage license and your new Social Security card. Remember to change your address if you have moved after the wedding.
4.
CHANGE YOUR LAST NAME WITH YOUR HR DEPARTMENT
When your new Social Security card comes in the mail, meet with your HR manager at work to switch your name over. This includes payroll, 401k, your insurance benefits, stocks etc.
5.
UPDATE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION
The easiest way to do this is to visit your local branch in person. Take your new license, your marriage license and your new Social Security card, and ask for your name to be changed on your account. Request new checks, debit cards and credit cards with your new name.
6.
UPDATE YOUR LAST NAME ON OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ACCOUNTS
As time goes on, you will remember more accounts that your last name must be changed on. Remember to keep all of the necessary documents within reach to easily change your name.

What’s the most common question you get from couples? What’s your answer to it?
"Room blocks are a common question. Hotel room blocks may be available in conjunction with a booked event, based on availability, so scheduling is important. And since we offer gaming onsite, guests checking into the hotel must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid credit card."
What are the best tips you have for helping couples prepare for their big day? Any other words of wisdom to share?

Inspired by the carefree charm of a Palm Springs getaway, planner Lauren of Burns Special Events designed our Northern Indiana spring/summer cover shoot to capture the playful spirit of the season. Dubbed "Peach Bellini Springs," the editorial embraced a fresh color palette of peach, soft pinks and sage green, creating a bright, sun-soaked aesthetic that felt equal parts retro and refined. "We were going with all the summer vibes with a Palm Springs inspo," Lauren shares. Trend-forward details—including dramatic draping, layered patterns and bold décor moments—brought the design to life, while an array of custom elements added personality and made the entire editorial feel uniquely tailored. The result was a vibrant celebration of color, creativity and modern wedding design, proving that playful details can still feel polished and elevated!
Serving as the perfect backdrop for this vibrant editorial, Four Winds Casino South Bend offered a variety of stylish spaces that complemented the playful yet elevated design. Captured by KMP Photography LLC, the day began in one of the property's luxurious hospitality suites before moving throughout the venue to showcase its sophisticated interiors, stylish bar and outdoor pool space. The ceremony and reception were staged inside the stunning Ribbon Town Event Center, an impressive 8,800-square-foot ballroom where rich wood accents, warm copper and gold tones, hints of violet and a uniquely patterned carpet inspired by a flowing river create an atmosphere that is both dramatic and inviting. The versatile design proved to be the perfect canvas for the editorial's colorful Palm Springs-inspired vision, highlighting just how effortlessly the venue can transform to suit any wedding style!
Every décor element was intentionally layered to bring the Peach Bellini Springs vision to life, showcasing the endless design possibilities available through Burns Special Events' impressive rental inventory. Custom-built walls and pedestals, a personalized dance floor decal and statement draping created bold focal points throughout the editorial, while the ever-popular serpentine sweetheart table and stylish new seating embraced some of today's biggest wedding design trends. The playful color palette of peach, pink and sage green flowed seamlessly through every detail— from sage and white striped accent walls and coordinating linens to peach napkins, blush salad plates and scalloped white dinnerware that added texture and dimension to the tablescapes. Soft peach drapery framed the ceremony in an airy, romantic way, and the sweetheart table made a bold statement with blush scalloped chairs that added personality and whimsy. Best of all, many of the custom elements—including the dance floor decals—can be personalized to fit any couple's unique wedding style, making every celebration feel completely one-of-a-kind!
Florals played a major role in bringing the Peach Bellini Springs concept to life, blending sculptural blooms with abundant seasonal flowers in a fresh, artistic way. "Our florist took on a whole new bouquet technique," Lauren shares. The standout bridal bouquet was crafted entirely from striking anthuriums, each bloom individually hand-glued to gold wire to create a unique, easy-to-hold arrangement finished with cascading ribbon. Throughout the ceremony and reception, lush arrangements of peonies, roses, stock, Star of Bethlehem, ranunculus, chrysanthemums and gladiolas echoed the editorial's peach, blush and sage palette. A thoughtful mix of towering centerpieces, low floral arrangements, delicate bud vases and decorative vases displayed along the custom walls added layers of texture and dimension, creating an immersive floral experience that felt both bold and effortlessly elegant!
Fashion played a starring role throughout the shoot, with three stunning gowns from Simply Yours Bridal. The ceremony look was an undeniable showstopper—a strapless Randy Fenoli gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, a fitted bodice adorned with delicate floral embellishments and a whimsical layered skirt. For the reception, the bride changed into a sleek strapless gown featuring a subtle floral print that beautifully echoed the shoot's garden-inspired aesthetic. The final look embraced the fun side of the celebration with a short, flirty dress embellished with delicate floral appliqués and subtle sparkle, paired with a chic short veil that mirrored the gown's intricate details—making it the perfect choice for portraits on the casino floor and by the pool! Completing the bridal looks, Top-Knot Bridal styled the bride's hair in an elegant half-up, half-down style with soft, romantic curls, while Jenn Martz Makeup Artistry created a radiant beauty look featuring a shimmering eye, dramatic lashes and a neutral lip that allowed her natural glow to shine. Beside her, the groom looked equally polished in a tan suit accented with a blush tie from SuitShop.

The culinary experience, crafted by Four Winds Casino South Bend's catering team, was every bit as vibrant and elevated as the editorial itself. Served first were an impressive selection of artfully presented appetizers, including strawberry bruschetta with pistachio pesto, salmon skewers, ahi tuna, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and prosciutto-wrapped peach crostini―a perfect complement to the Peach Bellini Springs theme! Entrée offerings ranged from steak with rich Beurre Rouge sauce and crab-stuffed shrimp to salmon with Beurre Blanc, pork chop paired with grilled peaches and peach gastrique, and flavorful Margarita chicken. To complete the dining experience, an assortment of decadent desserts—including the Peach Blossom Verrine, Spiced Plum & Cream, Fresh Citrus Pavlova and the signature Four Winds Chocolate Dome—provided a beautiful and delicious finale. Signature cocktails tied the entire menu together, creating a dining experience that was as memorable as it was flavorful!
The cake by Mini Snack Confections was a beautiful reflection of the editorial's playful yet sophisticated aesthetic.
Standing four tiers tall, the design featured sweeping texture in a soft peach hue across the bottom two tiers, creating movement and visual interest while tying into the shoot's warm color palette. The second-to-top tier added subtle dimension with its organic detailing. Light, whimsical and delicate handcrafted sugar florals rounded out the artistic confection!
The stationery by White Lily Wonders Studio beautifully introduced the editorial's playful yet romantic aesthetic. The invitation suite featured soft peach envelopes lined with charming floral-patterned liners, creating a cheerful first impression. Throughout the suite, delicate floral illustrations in shades of peach, blush and pink carried the color palette across each piece, while coordinating menus echoed the same whimsical design. The result was a paper collection that felt lighthearted, elegant and thoughtfully curated, setting the tone for a celebration filled with color, personality and timeless romance!
