VISION in the Center for Music & Worship
DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE CURRICULUM We research and evaluate local and international trends in music and worship. We develop curricula that meet specific needs in the evangelical culture. We create benchmarks for the training of worship leaders. We partner with sister institutions to establish standard curricula for the training of worship leaders. We join with other institutions in providing graduate training in worship. PROMOTING CHURCH MINISTRY We network with local churches to provide specialized training. We sponsor worship training at local churches for faculty and staff. We provide internships and apprenticeships in local, national, and international churches and parachurch ministries.

MUSIC DEGREES Our worship degrees are among the most comprehensive and innovative in the country and provide you with a choice of concentrated studies. Whether you are called to a professional music career and seek a Bachelor of Music or are called to ministry and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Music & Worship, you can be assured that your experience and training will be enriching and lifechanging. All degree curricula share core courses in music theory and worship studies, along with internships and practicums, applied music, program recitals, and ensembles.

Each semester, the School of Music comes together to share concert presentations with the rest of Liberty and the whole Lynchburg community. In the fall, students present Christmas on the Boulevard, and in the spring, they present the Annual Night of Worship.
