Evolution through thoughtful growth and strategic diversification.

Each company under the LG Group umbrella was established and grown as its own distinct business, however the influence of the companies on each other defines who we are today.

2005

Starting from humble ‘roll-up your sleeves’ beginnings, the company is founded as LG Homes, establishing itself as one of the premier luxury residential builders in Chicago best known for an unwavering dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.

2008

Building on early successes that drove organic growth within the residential market, LG Homes is rebranded as LG Construction + Development, reflecting a bold new vision and commitment to growth with an expansion of services spanning both residential development and general contracting.

The opening of Girl & the Goat – the instantly iconic restaurant in the West Loop’s Fulton Market area conceptualized by renowned chef, Stephanie Izard – marks a significant milestone for LG as the beginning of the company’s foray into the world of hospitality and commercial general contracting.

2012

Exemplifying the combined power of LG’s Construction + Development expertise, the company completes high-end custom townhome project, Row 2750 – LG’s inaugural venture into multi-family development that serves as a pivotal starting point toward further expansion in the sector.

2018

LG’s sustained growth across real estate development and construction brings us past the 50-employee milestone, reinforcing our commitment to delivering best-in-class talent on every project.

2020

LG Design emerges as a standalone design company, offering its expertise to both LG Development and third-party clients – a strategic evolution in our commitment to providing exceptional design solutions that elevate every project we undertake.

2023

Marking its largest endeavor to-date, LG Group breaks ground on the 601 North Central project in downtown Phoenix, Arizona – a monumental mixed-use development encompassing 1,306,935 square feet and 747 units – illustrating how the company is an unwavering visionary in redefining urban development through a combination of skyline-shaping, innovative design and extensive, first-class amenity spaces.

2025

Offshoot Creative, formerly LG Design, emerged as a standalone design , offering its expertise to both LG Development and third-party clients. This strategic move represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing exceptional design solutions that elevate every project we undertake.

2022

LG undergoes a transformative rebranding to become LG Group –a strategic initiative to unify our Development, Construction and Design divisions under one umbrella with an integrated approach that streamlines operations, sparks cross-functional collaboration, boosts efficiency, and reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence in all that we do.

2024

LG Group opens the doors to its new headquarters in River North – a modern, collaborative workspace designed to inspire innovation while reflecting the company’s functional, cutting-edge design aesthetic and commitment to sustainability-focused construction. The relocation signifies the start of a new chapter for LG Group, with endless possibilities for continued growth and success on the horizon.

Growing from our luxury residential roots, LG Builders was founded in 2008 as a partner company to the already established LG Development.

LG Builders was established on the belief that we could provide a higher level of service to our clients – service focused on their needs and goals – while creating value by being nimble and resourceful during the planning and execution phases of the project.

In 2015, LG Advantage was created to deliver a white glove experience by providing a dedicated service and special projects team.

LG Homes was established in 2022 as a standalone luxury residential group within the company signaling a rededication to the foundation of the business.

Today, LG Builders is inclusive of three unique business units: LG Commercial, LG Homes, and LG Advantage. Together, they maintain a diverse portfolio across more than 10 different market sectors with a focus on hospitality, entertainment, multi-family, office, and retail, all while continuing to build on our reputation as a leading luxury residential builder.

Since expanding outside the Chicago market in 2019, LG Builders has completed projects across more than a dozen different states, and counting.

This growth has largely been clientdriven, and has laid the foundation for us to build nearly any project type in any geographical market.
