DMM & CHE Update

SANTHAL PEOPLE GROUP TRAINING UPDATE

This month of August 2025 team of brother Dil Kumar Chepang and Ps. Raju Sundas conducted follow-up training with pastors from 14 Santhal churches. This emphasized the power of prayer and studied Luke 10:1–42 on reaching households with the Gospel. This engagement brought us together by our God towards impactful training event, with the Santhal community local residents’ people. Their shared motto was to grow personally, understand their community better, and become catalysts for local development. Our collaboration with community leaders and local institutions, the training entitled “Empowering People, Building Communities” focused on equipping individuals with tools for self-growth, leadership, and community engagement.

Our training event was based on believe that every individual has the power to impact their surroundings. This training was all about unlocking that power and channeling it into real, community-driven change,” said by lead facilitator of the program.

Major highlights of the trainings were regarding community people

such as including the participants encouragement to take the Gospel to their households and share practical solutions for their community needs. This comes along with their upcoming growth in personal and leadership development. Pastors committed to train 4,000 people in their churches before our next follow-up. Our vision remains: “Each one reach one.” By God’s grace, about half of the Santhal population already knows the Lord—we continue to pray for the rest. Our tasks on training also carried the ideas on self-awareness, communication, and decisionmaking quality in individuals as how they can influence positive change adding the self-growth from time management to emotional resilience. For example- to bring out better support in community needs roles, group collaboration, action planning etc. Participants formed action teams to brainstorm and present practical initiatives which they plan to implement in their neighborhoods — from youth programs to skillsharing circles. We distributed the book Seeds in the Forest (by brother Stan and team) to equip leaders in movement-building. Our faith goal is to see 50,000 people trained in the next four months. This initiative has already sparked interest in follow-up sessions, with participants committing to monthly meet-ups, local volunteer drives, and a growing network of community change-makers. Several

attendees have also expressed interest in launching community-led initiatives in further days to come.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, Santhal community expressed their gratitude towards HSN which is also planning to expand this training to nearby villages areas. Santhal community were happy and impressed with our involvement. Together, we’ve taken the first step toward a more engaged, aware, and empowered community. we will try to maintain the momentum going smooth in upcoming days too.

TRAINING- BEAUTY PARLOR TRAINING

SUCCESS STORY: FROM TRAINING TO TRANSFORMATION

Empowered by Skills – The Journey of Vocational Skills Trainers

We are excited to share how God is moving through the family of one of our MCPT leaders. The wife of our MCPT Mrs. Sonu Rai has truly caught the vision of the CHE initiative and identified a critical need in her community: skill training for women. As the Chairperson of the Christian Women’s Society of Itahari NCS, she used her position to advocate with the government for support. By God’s favor, the Itahari Municipality approved NPR 500,000 (five lakh) to run a beauty parlor training program. Along with contributions from the church and local resources, this funding enabled 50 women to be trained. Deputy Mayor Sangita Chaudhary cheered up her support for one month training held from date of 23rd Jestha to23rd of Ashad 2082 B.S.

There were 60 participants enrolled in a Vocational Skill Training Program under CHE Training of Beauty Parlor Training facilitated by HSN. This was coming across with our community development initiative. 60 participants learned essential skills in their basic and advanced makeup techniques like Hair styling and its treatment, Skin care and facial procedures, Customer service & hygiene, etc. which is major essential basics for running a small Beauty Parlor. After the training completion everyone was expressing that they had never imagined that they could be able to learn something like this and actually

turn it into a way to earn. CHE also Launched a piggery pilot project with a 50-50 investment (we provide one pig, participants provide one). This is changing the community’s mindset from dependency to contribution. Likewise, three bicycles were provided to pastors for easier villageto-village travel. We are even praying for 25 more bicycles.

From the above true inspirational training ideas on vocational skillsbased training we can easily say and inspire that how CHE continues to empower families in sustainable ways. This is one of the best examples how the ripple effect of change works efficiently in a person’s life creating good impact with huge change in life.

On the date of 23rd of Ashad 2082 graduation program was conducted by Chairperson Sonu Rai, with the Deputy Mayor Sangita Chaudhary,of Itahari Municipality attending as the chief guest. The Nepal Christian Society Women’s Department and the government expressed joy at seeing the fruitful results of this initiative. such as

CHE Trainings Programs like these are possible because of the continued support from community partners like CHE, trainers, volunteers etc. This program has not only given women practical skills but has also built their confidence, empowered them to believe in themselves, and equipped them to earn income to support their
