Music Together
Music Together believes children learn best in a community environment with adults enthusiastically modeling interest and joy in music. From infants in arms to 5-year-old movers and shakers, we embrace the learning children offer each other.
In class, infants may coo, gurgle, and flex their torsos in response to music. Toddlers shake rattles, bounce to the beat, and sing occasional notes. Three-year-olds often have favorite songs and instruments to play and can lose themselves in music. Four- and five-year-olds like to have an effect on the activity - creating ways to move or inventing new words to songs. They may play teacher and lead the family in their favorite activities at home.

Online Court Reservations in Lexington!
The Lexington Recreation and Community Programs Department is excited to continue its partnership with PlayLocal, www.playlocal.com, in 2026!
Court Reservation Rules & Guidelines:
• Courts are available for reservations seven days per week, 8:00am-8:00pm from April 1, 2026 –November 22, 2026.
• There are 10 lighted courts at the Gallagher Courts available for night play with a paid reservation until 9:00pm (reservations must be made by 12:00pm on the day of the reservation)!
• Court reservations may be made up to 2 weeks in advance and the PlayLocal system will launch for the 2026 season on Wednesday, March 18th.
• A person may make only 1 reservation (1 hour/1 court) for any given day.
• Courts will go live on PlayLocal on a rolling basis throughout the season, two weeks before the reservation time. For example, if you want to reserve a court at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 15th, you will be able to reserve the court as of Wednesday, April 1st at 9:00am. Similarly, if you want to reserve a court at 5:00pm on Friday, April 17th, you will be able to reserve the court as of Friday, April 3rd at 5:00pm. This enhancement will prevent people from having to wake up early at 6:00am to make court reservations, which will make the experience more enjoyable and convenient for court users!
• Adams #1 and Adams #2, along with Clarke #3, will be reservable for pickleball play only.
• If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your reservation, you forfeit use of the court for the entire hour.
• Once you make a reservation, if you are no longer available at that time, please be sure to cancel your reservation ahead of time. Your consideration for fellow tennis/pickleball players is greatly appreciated.
• No refunds are given. Rain checks will be issued.
• Private and semi-private lessons are not allowed on any of the Town courts.

Being out of shape can mean different things at different ages. As we age, muscle loss accelerates. We begin to notice that “we can’t do what we used to do” easily. Difficulty bending, walking upstairs, carrying groceries, weight gain, overall fatigue, or just slowing down are some of the signs that may indicate the need to build muscle and incorporate heart healthy exercises into our daily life. The Forever Fit Program will teach you how to develop strength, increase flexibility, improve balance and agility, build up endurance and reduce stress. There are three components to this program: individual assessments with the instructor, group instruction 2 times a week, and when necessary, personal training sessions offered by our fitness expert, Judy Whitney.

Interested in learning more? Please pre-register for the informational session on April 13 at 2:45pm in room 006 at the Lexington Community Center. If you decided this is the right fit for you, classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:25pm through June.
*Preference will be given to Lexington Residents; non-residents may register if space allows.

Participants strategically work each muscle group to ensure an effective workout. A balance track is included after the muscles have been fatigued which is challenging, rewarding, and a welcome change of pace before transitioning to the mat. The workout finishes with routines for the core, booty, abs, chest and triceps and a cool down with deep stretching. This UPLIFTING experience leaves participants feeling strong and confident. Osteofitness™: Evidence-Based Strength for Your Bones, Balance, and Independence. Osteofitness™ isn't just another exercise class — it's a research-backed, holistic program designed specifically to prevent and treat osteoporosis. Built on decades of data, including the groundbreaking work of Dr. Miriam Nelson ("Strong Women Stay Young"), Osteofitness™ follows the proven formula: strength training at least twice per week is essential to increase bone mineral density and reduce fracture risk. Anything less simply doesn't produce the physiological changes your bones need.
• Strength training twice weekly has been shown in clinical studies to significantly improve bone density, especially in vulnerable sites like the hips, spine, and wrists — the most common locations for osteoporotic fractures.
• Regular drills improve balance and coordination, key to fall prevention, which is critical since one fracture can lead to longterm loss of independence or even increase mortality risk.
• Guided by certified trainers with expertise in aging and bone health, participants build strength safely with joint-friendly movements adapted for all fitness levels.
• Progressive exercises tailored to stimulate bone growth and improve muscle strength, balance, and posture
• Integrated education on nutrition for bone building
• Stress management techniques, essential for lowering cortisol (a hormone that can actively inhibit bone formation Personalized support, including:
• A free 20-minute consultation to review your bone scan
• Email coaching throughout the session
• Bone-healthy monthly recipes and educational newsletters
• Access to exclusive instructional videos and bonus materials
Led by:
• Beverley Ikier, CPT, BCTMB — developer of the Osteofitness™ method with over 20 years of experience, trained under Dr. Miriam Nelson
• Kerri Powers, owner of Fitness Together Lexington, bringing deep knowledge and hands-on coaching to every session Program Format:
Osteofitness™ is only available as an 8-12 week program that meets twice per week with an addition of two videos. This structure reflects our commitment to your long-term health and outcomes because meaningful change requires consistency.
