As we gather for the 91st Annual Lewiston Roundup, I am filled with pride, gratitude, and a deep sense of tradition. For nearly a century, our community has come together each September to celebrate the grit, skill, and heart of rodeo. This event is more than just competition, it’s a living reminder of our western heritage, our commitment to one another, and the spirit that keeps Lewiston strong.
Each year, the Roundup is made possible by an incredible team of volunteers, sponsors, contestants, and fans. From the folks who set the arena rails before sunrise, to the families who fill the grandstands in rain or shine, to the cowboys and cowgirls who risk it all for a shot at glory, you are the heartbeat of this rodeo. Without you, there would be no Roundup.
This year, we’re excited to bring you world-class rodeo action, unforgettable entertainment, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that has made the Lewiston Roundup a must-see event for generations. Whether this is your first time joining us or your 50th, your part of the Roundup family now.
Each night of the rodeo has a special theme: Wednesday night is Inland Cellular Extreme Bulls; Thursday night is Clearwater River Casino Family Night; Friday night is Tri-State Health' Tough Enough to Wear Pink; and Saturday night is Peters and Keatts Equipment Patriot Night.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and everyone who pours their time and heart into this tradition, I thank you for your support. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the next 91 years of rodeo in the Valley.
So, dust off your boots, cheer loud, and let’s make this Roundup one for the history books.
We’ll see you at the rodeo!
“She’s Wild”
Sincerely,
Denny Jones Lewiston Roundup President

Stephen Cravens was born in 1948 and raised in the Orchards of Lewiston, Idaho. Much of his childhood was spent not far from the present Lewiston Roundup Grounds, living in a house at the edge of Hereth Park and starting grade school at Tammany School. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1967, excelling in football, so much so that he received a full scholarship to play football as a running back at the University of Idaho.
However, after playing football his freshman year, he decided to discontinue football to focus on academics and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a double major in Finance and Economics. After graduation, he tried a couple of years in retail, but then decided to return to the University of Idaho to study accounting.
He graduated in 1976 with another Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Accounting. While attending the University of Idaho, he worked full-time at Creighton’s for Men in Moscow, becoming manager of their store in Pullman from 1974 to 1976, and then becoming Controller for both the Creighton’s for Men and Creighton’s for Women stores in Moscow from 1976 to 1979.
In 1979, he returned to the Lewis-Clark valley to work for a year at Potlatch Corporation’s Clearwater Lumber accounting office. From 1980 to 1986, he worked as Corporate Comptroller for the Tribune Publishing Company. During this time, he attended the IBM Executive School in San Jose, and also became a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. He was a member of SHRM for 40 years.
In 1987, he took a job as Financial Controller at Erb Hardware Company in its downtown location and worked there until 1989. Then in 1989, he joined Tony Copeland Ford as Comptroller, which later became Joe Hall Ford. He retired from Joe Hall Ford in April 2019 after working thirty years there.
During his years of employment in the Lewis-Clark Valle,y he was active in a number of civic non-profit organizations. He joined the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 1985 and served a three-year term. Also, in the early 1980’s he served a three-year term on the Twin County United Way Board of Directors and was active in the Lewiston Rotary Club. In 1986, he joined the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees, serving on that Board for eleven years, ten years as Treasurer.
It was November 1, 1984, when Stephen joined the Lewiston Roundup Association Board of Directors. He’d been an admirer of the Lewiston Roundup since grade school,l when his father would park Stephen and his brother in box seats at the old Roundup Grounds while
he volunteered taking tickets at the front gate.
Soon after joining the Lewiston Roundup Board, the LRA began producing special events throughout the year to help augment the financial budget. Alongside other directors, Stephen worked in the concessions stands flipping hamburgers, selling beverages and snacks, as well as sweeping and mopping the floors when the events were over.
But it was the Lewiston Roundup Rodeo that is the heart of the LRA and was the main focus for Stephen. In 1985, he began serving as the corporation secretary and, except for two years, continued in the secretary
officer position up to and through his final year on the Board in 2014. He was elected President of the LRA twice, in 1994, then twelve years later in 2006.
In 1992, he was selected to be the LRA’s Rodeo Secretary, and he continued in that capacity for 22 years through his final year in 2014.
In his time on the LRA Board he:
Served on many committees;
Helped put together the annual operating budget using Excel spreadsheets.
Appeared each year before the Nez Perce County Board of Equalization to secure the LRA’s property tax exemption for its non-profit activities;
Attended the annual PRCA convention and maintained close working relationships with the PRCA’s Rodeo Administration;
Was in the group that planted the trees around the Roundup Grounds;
Was in the group of LRA Directors that traveled to Billings, MT to secure the livestock contract with Sankey Rodeo Company;
Attended the annual Big 4 Rodeo Association meetings, helped write the history of the Big 4 Rodeo Association, and served as Secretary of the Big 4 for a number of years.
In all, Stephen served ten full three-year terms for a total of thirty years on the Lewiston Roundup Association Board of Directors. He is a Gold Card member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. And he is honored to have been chosen Grand Marshall of the 2025 Lewiston Roundup.

The 2025 Lewiston Roundup Queen is Cressis Holes. She is the daughter of Lisa and Ray Holes of Grangeville, Idaho. A senior at Grangeville High School, she is planning to attend LCSC in the fall and achieve a nursing degree.
Born in the saddle, Cressis is passionate about her family's cow/calf operation and enjoys all types of ranch work, from raising, riding, and breaking colts to branding calves in the spring and gathering the herds in the fall. She pursues her love of quality quarter horses and the Western lifestyle by being both an active rodeo athlete and representing rodeo royalty. She enjoys attending horsemanship clinics and working with professional trainers to deepen her knowledge of riding and training performance horses.
Cressis is beyond thrilled and honored to be representing the Lewiston Roundup as their 2025 Queen. She feels a deep connection to the Roundup, as she has competed and excelled in this arena for years, and is excited to represent the true spirit of the West.
The 2024 Lewiston Roundup Princess in Teagan King. She is the 20-year-old daughter of William and Jennifer King of New Plymouth, ID, and a graduate of New Plymouth High School. She is currently a student at the University of Idaho studying Pre-Veterinary Science. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she will continue her education at Colorado State University to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on equine neurology and large animal medicine.
From just 6 months of age, Teagan has been on the back of a horse. During her youth, she was deeply engaged in 4-H, participating in horse shows, horse bowl, and horse judging. She also became involved in her local FFA chapter once she became a freshman in high school. Her knowledge of horses, breeds, and disciplines was ignited by being on various horse teams. She began competing in rodeo and horse shows at 7 years old. Those early events helped build her into the person and horsewoman she is today. She has been honored to carry sponsor flags for prestigious rodeos such as the Snake River Stampede, Eagle Rodeo, Nyssa Nite Rodeo, Payette County PRCA Rodeo, Gold Dust Rodeo, and others. In addition to being an accomplished horsewoman, she has held five different rodeo queen titles. She first learned how to carry a flag from the Treasure Valley Leather Slappers Drill Team where she was a part of the team for two years. One of the culminating experiences she has had through her involvement with horses was her senior project on horse chiropractic.
Teagan is eager to serve with pride and grace as the 91st annual Lewiston Roundup Princess.

A smooth, easy-listening voice, solid knowledge of rodeo, and a style that is both entertaining and informative, are the mix of elements that make Will Rasmussen one of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s most popular Rodeo Announcers. His personal knowledge of the sport, sense of humor, and timing blend together for a quality presentation that enhances the rodeo and satisfies the fans. “I guess it’s my sense that you need more than just a rodeo,” he says. “People want to be entertained.” Will has been the voice of the Lewiston Roundup since 2003.
JJ Harrison grew up in Okanogan, WA where his love for the rodeo began. He took his passion to college with him and joined the rodeo team as a bull and bronco rider at Washington State University. Harrison really established himself in Walla Walla. He was hired for his talents by The Beard Rodeo Company for a bull riding competition in Vancouver. Harrison taught science and social studies at Walla Walla middle school for eight years. After a few years of balancing teaching and rodeo, Harrison was forced to choose between the two. Harrison believes that his time in the classroom has influenced his witty and energetic act as a rodeo clown. What makes Harrison a good rodeo clown is the “off the cuff” stuff and spur of the moment quick wit that are his best attributes.
After 31 years in the rodeo business, Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics is exploring new horizons yet again.
Springboarding off his years as a rodeo contestant at the highest level of the sport, Ike Sankey combined what he had learned about rodeo as a business with his livestock skills and work ethic to create his vision of a rodeo company. Focusing not only on quality livestock, but also event production and spectator experience, Sankey Rodeo Company flourished.
Over the years the company has been blessed with 4 Saddle Bronc of the Year PRCA awards, 12 PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year nominations and numerous PRCA and Montana Circuit awards. Additionally, Sankey Rodeo Company livestock is featured annually at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and have been featured on ESPN, USA Today, Western Horseman and CMT.
Over $225,000 is won on Sankey Rodeo Company livestock annually. In 2018 Sankey Pro Rodeo was awarded the prestigious “Remuda Award,” recognizing them as the predominant herd of bucking horses in the PRCA.
A family affair from the start, in 2013 Ike and Roberta welcomed son, Wade, and daughter, Ryan, in as full partners and, in 2018 Sankey Rodeo Company joined forces with renowned bull producers, Phenom Genetics.
Phenom Genetics was founded by Matt Scharping in 2007, but his isn’t your typical bull business story. Matt grew up on a small farm in Arlington, Minn., and after a successful career in the tool business, he began raising and hauling bulls full time in 2013. He partnered with former Minnesota Viking Jared Allen on Jared Allen’s Pro Bull Team, and bought out Allen in January 2018. These days, Phenom Genetics raises and
trains young bulls for bull competitions, and hauls bulls to PBR and PRCA events as well. Their stable of bulls includes PBR headliners Air Time and Magic Train, as well as four-time PBR Finals bull CBR World Champion Bucking Bull Hy Test.
Matt credits all of his success to hard work and the help of his family: wife Kelly, and children Lacey, Kameron, Kolten and Kiri, as well as his hired man, Cody Stinson, who is a huge part of the business.
Combining the legacy of Sankey Rodeo Company’s outstanding bucking horses with Phenom Genetics’ world class bulls and a committed focus on fast paced, exciting, family entertainment, Sankey Pro Rodeo is poised to expand the concept of what rodeo can be.
The Lewiston Roundup Association is proud to announce Beau Schueth as our newest bullfighter to the 91st annual Lewiston Roundup.
Beau is a national bullfighter who grew up in O’Neill, NE. Rodeo had been something he wanted to do since he grew up watching the Clearwater Rodeo. When most young men want to join the rodeo circuit, they hop on a horse and start roping or they get on a bronc or bull and hold on for eight seconds. Schueth decided that while he still wanted to compete in rodeo, neither roping nor riding was a good fit. Beau Schueth, of O’Neill, decided to take the bull by the horns and become a bullfighter.
Nate was always drawn to the family ranch and the small farming community where his closest friends were from. Nate pursued his childhood dream of Aviation and graduated from Montana State University with an Associates Degree in Aviation Technology.
During college, Nate was instilled with another life-long passion of Bullfighting. Nate was accepted into the PRCA and his career quickly accelerated. Throughout the last couple of years, Nate has had the opportunity to work and protect cowboys at some of the biggest rodeos in the industry. In 2016 and 2017 Nate was selected by the top 20 bull riders to protect them at the Wrangler National Finals.
The Lewiston Roundup Association is proud the LC Valley and Asotin local Clay Heger is returning to the 91st annual Lewiston Roundup.
Clay left home to pursue his passion as a bullfighter. Clay says “I’ve had many great opportunities in my career and have been blessed enough to be selected to work the RAM Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeo multiple times, as well as the Ram Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo multiple times.”
“It’s also been an honor to make the National Finals Rodeo short-list, as well as being nominated as Top Five Bullfighters of the Year - the past six years! I’m very excited to come home and fight bulls at the Lewiston Roundup, a rodeo that helped grow my passion for the sport of rodeo!”

FRIDAYNIGHT, SEPTEMBER 5
TriState Health is the proud Tough Enough To Wear Pink Night Sponsor
Wear a pink shirt to the Lewiston Roundup on Friday, September 5! For each person who attends wearing a pink shirt, the Lewiston Roundup will donate $1 to local breast cancer programs. These programs provide financial and emotional assistance to those patients in need. Let’s come together to raise money and prove that YOU, too, are TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK! Purchase your Tough Enough To Wear Pink shirt for $20 at the Red Barn at North 40 and online at TSH.org/TETWP.
