Liberty Salutes Military Spouses On May 8th, the nation will honor and salute military spouses for their dedication to keeping our country safe. Military spouses are our unsung heroes and are the backbone of the family through readiness, deployments, and reintegration. The history of Military Spouse Appreciation Day started with President Ronald Reagan when he signed a Proclamation in 1984 to pay tribute to all military spouses. Military Spouse Appreciation Day is now a part of National Military Appreciation Month in May! Liberty Military Housing would like to say “thank you” to all our military spouses for your service, commitment, sacrifices, and most importantly your contribution to your family and this nation. Military Spouses stand tall and stand proud. Liberty salutes you!
