Your Community Services Event Team has many fun events and activities planned this month to celebrate spring, reading, and you! Please keep reading this newsletter for all the upcoming events and activities. Liberty also provides:
Little Libraries – stop by your community Little Library and check out a book and/or donate a book for others to enjoy!
Outdoor space / Playgrounds – get outdoors as spring arrives and enjoy your community outdoor spaces and playgrounds!

NEW Lewis West District Office is Opening Soon!
Our new Lewis West district office is really taking shape, with final touches being completed over the next couple of weeks. We extend a sincere thank you to the PMI team and our construction partners, who have been absolutely amazing and an integral part of bringing this project to life.
Stay tuned for the official opening announcement we’re excited to share more soon!
Meriwether Landing Progress Update
Progress is moving quickly on the 212 new homes taking shape at Meriwether Landing in our Lewis North District. Foundations have been poured, walls are up, and roofs and siding are now complete. Interior finishes are coming next, bringing us one step closer to welcoming our first residents to their new homes in early April. Stay tuned as we prepare for the grand opening of Meriwether Landing!

Prep Your Garden for Spring at JBLM

Spring is just around the corner, and now is the perfect time to prepare your garden at JBLM. Whether you maintain an on-base garden or participate in the JBLM Community Garden Program, we have free compost and mulch for your gardening needs.
Don’t yet have a garden? Get started at one of two community garden locations here on base or start simple with some pots or raised beds.
Earthworks offers free self-load compost and mulch to help gardeners get ready for the growing season Adding compost and mulch helps protect and improve the soil and sets the stage for healthier plants and better yields. These materials are available for use in both personal on-base gardens and the JBLM community garden plots. Our compost and mulch are both made on location, allowing us to repurpose some of our food and yard waste.

Earthworks staff will assist with check-in and provide instructions for self-loading materials. Calling ahead is recommended, especially if you plan to pick up a larger quantity.
