To show our LOVE for our residents, we are offering FREE cookies at every district office on Friday, February 13th. This is a token of appreciation for choosing a Liberty Military Housing community to call home. There is no need to sign-up this, just show up!

Do you have a needed repair, a suggestion, or a concern? Liberty Military housing is committed to enriching the lives of military families through providing homes and vibrant communities Your feedback is an important piece in helping us accomplish this goal, and we want to ensure we provide you with an avenue to initially address your needed repair, suggestion, or concern and the process to escalate it, should that be necessary. Below is an outline of our easy Three-Step process for concerns and opportunities for feedback

PetPolicyReminders
All pets are to remain leashed while outside of the home or fenced in areas
Pets tethered to trees or the home without supervision outside is strictly prohibited
Pet waste must be picked up from the yard daily
All pets must be registered with Liberty Military Housing and have a$250 pet deposit per pet
While work is being completed within your home by a Liberty Military Housing team member or a vendor, we ask that you please secure your pet in another room or kennel away from the area being worked on.
All Liberty Military Housing team members and vendors are prohibited from interacting with any pets within the home
Need to Register a New Pet?
Reach out to your designated district office for the following: Request and submit the pet addendum form
Submit the $250 per pet
Create a PetScreening Profile per new pet (District Office will send a link for this)
Need to report a pet caused injury?
If an animal has caused bodily harm to a human::
Report animal and injury by calling 911
Notify your District Housing Office
Need to report a loose pet in your community?
If the pet is non-aggressive:
Reach out to surrounding neighbors and community to find the owner
If no owner is located, take the animal to Pierce County Animal Shelter
If the pet is aggressive:
Report aggressive animal by calling 911.

Reducing Costs, Cutting Emissions: Smarter Ways to Travel

Looking for ways to save money, reduce time in traffic, and make a positive difference for the environment? Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) offers several options that can make your daily commute easier, more affordable, and more environmentally friendly
Transportation Subsidies
All Department of Defense (DoD) employees are eligible for up to $280 per month through the Mass Transit Benefit Program. This transportation subsidy can help cover the cost of commuting by vanpool, bus, light rail, or ferry. For many employees, this benefit can make the daily commute to work nearly free, reduce wear and tear on personal vehicles, and lower fuel expenses.
Vanpooling
A vanpool consists of five to fifteen people who share a ride to work using a van provided by a local transit agency. Vanpools are available across multiple counties in the region. Employees can easily find programs by searching online for their county name and the word “vanpool.” Many vanpool providers also offer emergency ride-home programs, ensuring participants can return home quickly in the event of unexpected events If an emergency arises, participants can use a rideshare service and submit the receipt for reimbursement Vanpooling reduces individual vehicle use, helps lower emissions, and builds community among coworkers who share the ride
Go-Transit: JBLM
JBLM also offers Go-Transit, a free on-base shuttle that operates daily from 8:00 a m to 6:00 p m The service connects key locations across the installation, including troop billets, duty stations, and dining facilities.
Go-Transit also provides point-to-point transportation, similar to a rideshare service. Riders can request a pickup using the TransLoc app or by calling 253-477-3717. The service is available to military personnel, DoD civilians, and contractors conducting official business. When space allows, family members, retirees, off-duty civilians, and visitors may also use Go-Transit. This free shuttle reduces traffic congestion on base, cuts fuel use, and provides a convenient way to get around while avoiding parking challenges.
Other Ways to Cut Commute Costs
Beyond vanpooling and Go-Transit, employees are encouraged to carpool, bike, or walk when possible. These options reduce emissions, save money, and improve physical health.
