We are delighted to present you our catalogue of the exhibitions organized in the Platan and Latarka galleries of the Polish Institute in Budapest between September 2013 and June 2016. This catalogue aims to provide a concise but comprehensive insight to the work of these galleries and to show the fruits of the artistic symbiosis between the two, somewhat different venues which work as an organic one. This does not only mean the artworks which have been on display here but also the new, 21st century forms of interaction with the artists or the audience and the promotion of visual arts, like social media, blogs or other internet platforms and video interviews. We are pleased to see that, since its foundation in 1999, Platan Gallery has become a well-known and acknowledged venue of the Budapest art scene and cultural life due to its characteristic and unique profile, the vivid interest and openness of our audience and the excellent location of the gallery.
