Dear Friends, For the eighth consecutive year, The Bayhealth Foundation will host its annual southern Golf Tournament this fall on Friday, October 22, 2021 at The Rookery South in Milton, DE. Fundraising efforts such as this golf outing help us generate gifts to support what will be nearly a $20 million investment by Bayhealth for our new Graduate Medical Education program. This area desperately needs more physicians. Bayhealth is addressing that need by inaugurating the first medical residency program in our immediate region. Bayhealth’s Graduate Medical Education program brings medical school graduates to our Bayhealth care centers, initially in the fields of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. Residents, under the supervision of seasoned physicians, see patients in both Kent and Sussex counties. When they have completed their residency program with us, many will stay in Delaware to continue providing care to patients of all ages.
