summer winds down, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated at this year’s Turfgrass Field Day at Lake Wheeler Lab. It was another incredible opportunity to connect with turfgrass professionals, see old friends, and get a firsthand look at the research that continues to move our industry forward. The NC State Turfgrass Program faculty and staff once again delivered an exceptional event. The opportunity to learn directly from leading experts and see their research in action remains one of the most valuable experiences of the year. This issue of NC Turfgrass Magazine continues that spirit of learning with a variety of articles highlighting current challenges and opportunities across our industry. I specifically want to point out the annual Sod Producers’ Report by NCSU, which offers an in-depth look at trends in supply, pricing, and production throughout North Carolina. The insights provided in this year's report are sure to inform your decision-making and help you stay ahead of the curve.
