Grounded Beginnings
The Leadership Georgia Class of 2026 officially launched its statewide journey at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia, coming together for an opening program grounded in connection, reflection, and leadership development. Set in the North Georgia mountains, the Brasstown program introduced participants to the 2026 class theme — Resilient, Resourceful, and Rising Higher — a reflection of Georgia leadership at its best: resilient in the face of challenge, resourceful in action, and committed to rising together. From the outset, participants were reminded that Leadership Georgia is both an opportunity and a responsibility. The Brasstown program established the foundation for the year ahead, emphasizing leadership rooted in self-awareness, character, and a deep understanding of Georgia’s people, communities, and challenges. This opening experience set the tone for a year of learning that will stretch across the state and across sectors, bringing together leaders committed to thoughtful dialogue, meaningful relationships, and collective progress.
