Saturday 7th March 2026
Welcome to Seaford College for this, our sixth Seaford Super Sevens Netball Tournament.
Our inaugural competition was held in 2020, and we are thrilled to be able to welcome you all back.
There will, no doubt, be some very competitive matches today with so many talented netballers on display from many wonderful schools. We are sure to see high levels of skill and enthusiasm, and we are in for some fantastic games of netball.
Netball here at Seaford continues to go from strength to strength, both in terms of participation and results, and we are very proud of the work ethic and attitude of the girls across both our Senior and Prep School.
We hope that you enjoy the tournament today and come back and see us again soon!
Miss Simeone Compton Assistant Director of Sports | Head of Netball
Welcome to Seaford College, and thank you in advance for supporting our invitational Seaford College Southern 7s U18 Netball Festival.
Events like this reflect what school sport does best. Tournament netball brings intensity, speed and shared responsibility, asking players to perform, recover and respond together across a demanding schedule. These are challenging days, but they are often the most memorable, providing experiences that build confidence, resilience and a genuine sense of belonging within a team environment.
At Seaford, we see sport as an integral part of a young person’s education. It is a space where students learn how to contribute, how to compete with integrity and how to respond when things do not go exactly to plan. Netball places, these lessons front and centre, rewarding communication, composure and collective effort as much as individual brilliance. The fast-paced format of our festival challenges players to think clearly, adapt quickly and trust one another under pressure.
While results matter, days like today remind us that success is also found in how teams behave, how players support one another and how they represent their school. The small moments such as a disciplined defensive stand, an unselfish extra pass, or a positive response after a turnover can often carry the greatest value and leave the strongest impression.
Our Southern 7s Festival continues to grow in quality and opportunity, and we are proud to provide a high-performance environment in which all the players can test themselves against strong opposition. It is through these competitive experiences that character is strengthened and standards are raised.
I would like to thank our Head of Netball, Simeone Compton and the wider sports team for their diligence, organisation and commitment in making today possible. Their attention to detail ensures that events like this are purposeful, competitive and enjoyable for all involved.
My sincere gratitude also extends to all staff, officials and visiting schools for their support. To our parents, visitors and supporters, I hope you enjoy the day and thank you for helping us create a positive and respectful environment for every player on the courts.
To every team taking part, play with energy, effort and enthusiasm, and place our core values of Respect, Teamwork, Courage and Trust at the heart of everything you do.
