Baby Boy Biscuit Recipe By Nosson Tzvi
230g sugar 230g margarine 2 eggs 360g plain flour 100g corn flour
Making the biscuit dough Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix it. (You do not need to put the dough in the fridge first). Instructions for Decorating Biscuits Roll the dough out on a floured table. Cut the dough with a gingerbread man cutter. Then bake it. When it is cold, spread blue icing but not on the hands, head and feet. Put white icing on hands and feet and draw face with food pens or decorate with lasso for mouth and chocolate drops for eyes. You can make a hat from blue icing.

Oma was born in Celerina, a village in Graubunden. This area is in the Swiss Alps and is known for having the widest valley in Switzerland as well as having its own local language called Romanish; which is no longer spoken anywhere else in the world. It is officially the 4th language of Switzerland, the others being Swiss German, French and Italian. Do you know how to say hello in these languages? In Swiss German we say “Grützi”, in French “salut” (pronounced as “saloo”), and “Ciao” (pronounced as chow”) in Italian. In Romanish you say “Bun di” (pronounced as “boon-dee”). Oma does not speak Romanish!

As for school, Oma was home schooled. OMA had a teacher for חולbut for קודש Oma had Yisroel Tzadok (Izzy) Dzialosyznski (Oma’s father) and Shmuel (Oncle Sammy) Dzialoszynski (Oma’s brother) as her rebeim.

Oma has lived in 9 different cities, 6 countries and 3 different continents including Celerina, Switzerland; Zurich, Switzerland; New York, USA; Lakewood, USA; Lima, Peru; Oslo, Nowray; Glasgow, Scotland; Carmel College and Stamford hill, London.
If Oma was good during her “school” Shmuel (Oncle Sammy) Dzialoszynski (Oma’s brother) would take her to a nearby forest and OMA would learn there.

When OMA lived in Lima, Peru, she would get multicoloured parrots coming to her window and when OMA went to the famous zoo near her, she would see a lot of flamingos. In Peru, the women sat in the buses and the men hung on the outside! Oma was in a very big earthquake whilst living there.
OMA has been to many different countries outside of Europe, including USA , Peru, Eretz Yisroel, Thailand, Mainland China and Hong Kong.
For a time, Oma lived in Norway, where in the summer there barely is a night and in the winter there is hardly any day. This had a massive effect on yiddish things because for e.g. Shabbos was out by early afternoon in the winter and they couldn’t make havdala in the peak of the summer because it never really got dark. Instead, they made it Sunday morning!
When OMA went for the first time to America she went with an ocean liner. On the way there, there were a lot of storms, so Oma felt extremely seasick. In terms of food, there was a kosher room but Oma did not rely on that hechsher so she ate her own food. When she arrived, she stayed in New York by her uncle and aunty. Oma then went to help another aunty who was sick. They were very rich and Oma’s Uncle was a very big ba’al tzedaka and lots of colectotors came to him.

OMA understands 9 languages including German, Swiss German, Yiddish, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Norwegian and English; although OMA understands all these languages OMA only speaks German, Swiss German, Yiddish, French and Spanish now. OMA’S most interesting trip was when she went to China. There OMA tried to learn Chinese but did not manage. She saw big strong tall scaffolding made of strong metal bamboo and as I said it was very strong. Oma was fascinated to see how quickly the Chinese eat rice with chopsticks!
When Oma lived in Lakewood, she and everyone else in the yeshiva (the yeshiva was still very small at the time) were very poor. She was still happy together they were all like one family.
When OMA lived in Peru she had a helper that lived with her in OMA’s big flat. Outside, there was a man who shouted in the street every day that he was selling fish and he helped to teach Oma how to cut fish nicely. 4
Where did the horse go to when he was ill? To the horsepital!
How does the farmer count his cow’s? With a cowculator!
Why did the banana go to the hospital? Because he wasn’t peeling well!

By Shmully What was the first animal to go to space? The first animals sent with intent were fruit flies accompanied by corn seeds, were sent by a US launched German made V2 rocket in 1947. The first animal to orbit was the soviet dog Laika, (Barker in Russian) onboard Sputnick 2 on November 3rd 1957. Laika died during the flight as there was no technology at the time to bring the spacecraft home.

All of the children of Carol and Rollie Camis, (USA) were born on the same day Feburary 20th. Catherine in 1952; Caroline in 1953; Charles in 1956; Claidia in 1961; Cecillia in 1966. The chances that 5 siblings will be born on the same day are 1 in 17,800,000,000, which is a number 3 times the number of the people living in the world.
