The Lake County Forest Preserves in northeastern Illinois is here as a resource for teachers and students. As the principal guardian of Lake County’s natural areas and open space since 1958, the Forest Preserves sets the standard in nature and history education.
Our school programs support Illinois Learning Standards. Field trips and in-school programs are affordably priced, taught by professional educators and give students the opportunity for authentic experiences to learn, discover and apply what they know.
