Job Summary The Company Arconas is a Mississauga-based modular and public seating manufacturer established in 1972. Our mission is to bring high-design, to high-traffic areas that require comfortable and durable seating solutions. We supply our furniture to many of the largest airports and transportation terminals throughout the world, as well as to government offices, healthcare centres and universities. The position of Electrical/Electronic Assembler Technician is a newly created position. This position will work closely both with our Production team and R&D team to produce high quality electronic and electro-mechanical controls using hand insertion techniques and automated equipment. Responsibilities and Duties • • • • • • •
Install electrical harness to electrical panels, fixtures, metal chassis, plastic modules, metal casings and plastic casings Follow written documentation, verbal instructions, mechanical drawings and electrical and electronic schematics Carry out installation and maintenance on equipment Record measurements and characteristics (trials, testing) and report any irregularities Verify the compliance of the work with generic and specific standards defined in the technical work documentation Hand assembly of physically small electronic components into circuit boards Ensure individual productivity quotas are met or exceeded on a daily basis, while at the same time maintaining Arconas quality standards
Must be comfortable working in a diverse environment Qualifications and Skills •
Ideally you are an Electrical/Electronic Technician or Technologist, an Electrical apprentice, or recent community college graduate with an electrical or electronic diploma, or a self-taught master of gadgetry, a tinkerer, or an electrically inclined hobbyist, with the ability to learn, follow direction carefully and to create in a meticulous and skillful manner

Must be able to perform the following: stripping wires, crimping, assembling connectors, lay cables inside narrow enclosures Ability to use a soldering iron safely Ability to read an oscilloscope Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position Excellent knowledge in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints Manual abilities, dexterity and attention to detail Knowledge of industrial hygiene and safety rules and how to use personal and environmental protection equipment capacity to work as a team and under pressure and to adapt to a constantly evolving environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits The Details This is a full-time, permanent position working from our Mississauga head office. Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm. Compensation includes a competitive base and bonus, with group benefits, RRSP matching, vacation and plant closure between Christmas and New Year's and for 2 weeks in the summer.
