GENERAL INFORMATION FOR VENDORS & BUYERS
NO CIRCUMVENTION OF THESE RULES WILL BE TOLERATED EITHER BY THE SOCIETY OR LAWRIE & SYMINGTON
This information is correct as of 9:00am on Tuesday 4th August 2020 andis subject to changes in Government Guidelines or Directives regarding the control of the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. In order for Lawrie & Symington to comply with its legal obligations as market operator, it will adhere fully tothe SGOV (Scottish Government) rules whichhave been supplemented by guidance agreed between SGOV and IAAS(Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland) in forceat the time of the saletaking place.
As Social Distancing guidelines will reduce the number of buyers attending the sale, a number of steps have been agreed to enable asmany serious buyers as possible to attend. As aresult,the co-operation of Society membersis required to facilitate this.
GENERAL
INFORMATION (applicable to bothvendors and buyers)
1. Applicable social distancing guidelines at the timeof the salewill apply at all times.
2. Face coverings are mandatoryfor all persons entering the market. These must be worn without exception while in the market including the sales rings and pens.
3. To facilitate the Test and Trace system in Scotland, all consignors and buyers will be required to sign into the market on bothWednesday 26th and Thursday 27th August. This process will include a declaration that they have not been in contactwith anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19, nor are they displaying symptoms personally.
4. This is asale only, there will beno judging of sheep, either in the show ring, in the pens or in any other way.
5. Strictly no private videoing/broadcasting on Social media, or phones etc. in the pens or ring.
6. Hand sanitiser stations willbe available throughout the market, however, it is strongly recommended that both consignors andbuyers have an adequate personal supply and to use it regularly.
7. Everyone is encouragedto register for the online bidding website. This can be used to bidfrom home, remotely fromother areas in the market, or inany of the sales rings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONFORVENDORS
9. In line with SGOV and IAAS guidelines, only one person per consignment/flock will be permitted accessto themarket premises. This person will:
a. Provide caretohis/her sheep and prepare and present them for sale.
b. Be required to register as a buyer to make purchases on behalf of that flock.
10.All consignors arerequired toadheretosocial distancing guidelines at all times and particularly while tending their sheep, during inspections and when buyers are viewing sheep.
11.There will be an inspection of sheep by a Society appointed veterinarian. Inspection of sheep will commence at 8.00am on Wednesday 26th and conclude at 12 noon. As sheep are inspected,consignors must adhere to social distancing regulations and allow vets and inspectors to access sheep in allocated area. APPEALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
12.Consignors will be permitted to accompany theirsheep tothe sales ring, join them in the ring (along with onemember of L&S staff) and then accompany them back to their pen.
13.The market and penning facilities will be available to consignors from Tuesday 25th August at 5.00pm.
14.Viewing/handling of sheep will be regulated by a one-way system throughout the mart and anyone wishing to view must sign in before access is permitted. Viewing times will be from 1:00pm on Wednesday 26th and from 7:00am on Thursday 27th. If during the sale a buyer wishes torevisit the pens to view other stock, they must adhereto the one-way system.
15.Empty pens adjacent toconsignor’s sheep pens will be available for preparing sheep for sale.
16.Cooling fans are not permitted inthe pens.
17.A photographer will be on site – ITIS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THEVENDOR TO TAKE HIS/HER SHEEP TO GET PORTRAITS TAKEN.
18.All vendors will be registered as buyers and will be restricted to the penning area and alleys

19 All buyers attending the sale in person must pre-register with themarket and must register using our online registered form (https://lawrieandsymington.com/premier-sale-of-pedigree-texel-sheep-inassociation-with-texel-sheep-society/) which canbe found in the ‘Entry Forms’ section of the website.
20 Viewing/handling of sheep will be regulated by a one-way system throughout the mart. Viewing times will be from 1:00pm till 10.00pm on Wednesday 26thand from 7:00am on Thursday 27th August. If during the sale a buyer wishes torevisit the pens toview other stock, they must adheretothemarket’s processes and procedures including the one-way viewing system in the pens
