Fourth: Thefieldswillbeletforgrazingonly,unlessotherwisestated.
Fifth: TheExposerreservespowertocutthistles,rushes,docksandweedsandto scourandcleanditchesandtocartwoodandstoneinanyof the fields withoutpaymentofsurfaceorotherdamages.
Sixth: Tacksmen to sign these articles and if required, to grant Bills with sufficientcautionoftheJudgeoftheRoup.
Seventh: TermsofPayment:TherenttobepaidtoLawrie&Symington Limited, Auctioneers, Lanark. Half rent due 1st May 2022 and half rent due 1st November2022(unlessotherwisestated).
Eighth: AnystatementofmeasurementoffieldswhichmaybegivenbytheExposer orAuctioneersisunderstoodtobecorrectonlysofarastheyareawareand Tacksmenwillbeheldtohavesatisfiedthemselves previous to the RoupsothattheExposerdoesnotguaranteeanyquantity.
Ninth: TacksmentosupervisetheirownstockandtheExposershallinnomanner ofwaybeliableforanydamageswhichmayresulttostockwhileinthe fields.
Tenth: BRIAN R. ROSS is hereby appointed Judge of the Roup with power to adjournitatanytimeorfromtimetotimeashemayseefitandhisdecision to be final in all matters connected herewith and the Subscribers bind themselvestoabidethereby.
