The flock has enjoyed another very successful year in both the show ring and at the sales. Burnview genetics was consistently in the top placing and averages at the main sales with our ram lamb by Invincible winning Reserve Champion at the National Sale and selling for the second top price of 6,600gns to the Mullanboy flock. At Stirling another Invincible son was placed 3rd in the Open singles and went on to sell for 7,500gns to Windfield. Amongst strong competition from some of the best flocks in the bred the flock was again awarded the Northern Ireland Show Team of the year with Burnview Hitman II winning Male of the Year 2019.

Ballynacannon Commander was sold in 2013 for 7500gns and was crowned sire of the year in 2014, Ballynacannon Discovery was reserve sire of the year in 2016 and Ballynacannon Noah is the current reserve sire of the year with all 3 of his sons coming out of the same flock. We have had a great 12 months selling gimmers with tops of £6500, 6000gns, 5000gns, £4500 and £3000 and a half share of our show gimmer sold to the Williams flock. The Islandmoyle flock was established in 2009, since then we have purchased some of the best males and females available throughout the uk and Ireland. Our most successful year to date has been 2018 with Ram lambs selling to 3,000gns at Stirling and 1500gns in ballymena. All ewes are on the Heptavac-p system and are vaccinated with Toxovax and Enzovax. The Vendor warrants that any ram sold as a stock ram for the amount in paragraph (j) of appendix or more is capable of natural service. This warranty is a 10 week warranty.
59.2 Purchaser’s rights
If the Purchaser proves a breach of warranty the Purchaser may return the ram to the Vendor who shall, at the Purchaser’s option, either replace the ram with another ram of equal value which is capable of natural service, or refund the purchase price together with such other costs and charges as the Purchaser may be entitled to under these Conditions. For the avoidance of any doubt if the Purchaser is able to obtain viable semen from the ram for use by artificial insemination he shall not be entitled to any claim against the Vendor for breach of warranty.
