Highlight of the year was undoubtably the sale of our Lanark lead lamb to Bridgeview at 13,000gns. This was one of the best lambs we have ever bred. Admired by many he was flashy, oozing with style, full of breed character, good on his feet and legs with a tight skin just like his father who features heavily in our service sires along with Strathbogie Joel, a Crewelands Kingpin son, who we purchased along with Beechcrest for 13,000gns at Lanark. Lakeview Lockdown, a Scuderia son, from Stewart Craft has also been used, a ram lamb with an outstanding pedigree being from a sister of a three times RUAS Champion. This is undoubtably the strongest consignment of gimmers we have ever offered for sale with many being useful additions to any flock’s flush team.

Beechcrest Suffolks where established in 2012. In subsequent years, select male & female purchases have been made from some of the top flocks within the Suffolk breed, leaving our core flock of ewes with great genetics.
Flock achievements have topped in 2018 with a 1st Place Ewe Lamb at R.U.A.S Balmoral & 1st Place Novice Ram Lamb at Stirling 2018 on our first attempt at selling in Scotland.
All sheep offered for sale have been vaccinated with Enzo & Toxo vax, fluke dosed with Cydectin Triclamox and mineral bolused pre tupping in July. They are also on the Heptavac-P program.
This year due to very good E.T. results we are able to offer gimmers for sale from one of the best ewes in the flock. She has bred a 1st Prize Ewe Lamb at R.U.A.S Balmoral, with many other notable daughters retained in the flock.
All are in lamb to our new stock ram 13,000gns Strathbogie Joel. Much admired at Lanark this year and we are very excited for his progeny. Both the females and this ram offer bloodlines different to what is widely available in the breed at present.

The Islandmoyle flock was established in 2009, since then we have purchased some of the best males and females available throughout the UK and Ireland. Our most successful year to date has been 2018 with Ram lambs selling to 3,000gns at Stirling and 1500gns in Ballymena. All ewes are on the Heptavac-p system and are vaccinated with Toxovax and Enzovax. Gimmers are sired by LAKEVIEW ARMANI- Purchased jointly at Stirling 2017 for 10,000gns with Shannagh and Castleisle flocks where he stood reserve champion. First five sons have averaged 3400gnns and daughters selling to 3200gns.

53.2 Purchaser’s rights
If the Purchaser proves a breach of warranty then, at the Purchaser’s option, either the Purchaser may exercise his rights under Schedule 6, or the Vendor shall pay to the Purchaser as Liquidated Damages a sum equal to the amount in paragraph (i) of the Appendix. Notice of a claim must be supported by a Veterinary Surgeon’s Certificate or a slaughterhouse manager’s or other competent person’s certificate confirming that the sheep was In Lamb

59 STOCK RAMS
59.1 Vendor’s warranty
The Vendor warrants that any ram sold as a stock ram for the amount in paragraph (j) of appendix or more is capable of natural service. This warranty is a 10 week warranty.
59.2 Purchaser’s rights
If the Purchaser proves a breach of warranty the Purchaser may return the ram to the Vendor who shall, at the Purchaser’s option, either replace the ram with another ram of equal value which is capable of natural service, or refund the purchase price together with such other costs and charges as the Purchaser may be entitled to under these Conditions. For the avoidance of any doubt if the Purchaser is able to obtain viable semen from the ram for use by artificial insemination he shall not be entitled to any claim against the Vendor for breach of warranty.
