WITHDRAWAL PERIODS
Purchasers of stock sold through store or breeding sales;
Please note that it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are out with any withdrawal period.
This includes antibiotics; anthelmintics or sheep dip that the seller may have given prior to sale.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE
The buyer of the Store Heifer , or Heifer Calf which subsequently proves to be in calf (sustained by a Veterinary Certificate) will have the option of:-
(a) Returning the animal to the vendor and receiving keep at the rate of £15 per head per week (1st November to 31st March) and £5 per head per week (1st April to 31st October), claiming vets expenses, haulage both ways as well as the purchase price of the animal. OR
(b) Receiving one third of the purchase price from the vendor, plus vet fees in full and final settlement. COMPLAINTS MUST BE INTIMATED WITHIN EIGHT MONTHS OF THE DAY OF SALE.
