SALE OF STORE & BREEDING CATTLE

Sale to commence at 10.30 am With Breeding Cattle

THE COMPANY’S CONDITIONS OF SALE APPLY

PASSPORTS

Consignors are advised that it is their sole responsibility to ensure that the correct PASSPORTS are lodged in the OFFICE prior to sale and ensure that all passports are SIGNED and are in SALE ORDER.

Passports MUST arrive in the office with an entry form.

While every help will be given by the market staff in the handling of passports; the vendor is responsible for ensuring that the correct documents correspond with each animal.

WITHDRAWAL PERIODS

Purchasers of stock sold through store or breeding sales; Please note that it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are out with any withdrawal period. This includes antibiotics; anthelmintics or sheep dip that the seller may have given prior to sale.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE

The buyer of the Store Heifer , or Heifer Calf which subsequently proves to be in calf (sustained by a Veterinary Certificate) will have the option of:-

(a) Returning the animal to the vendor and receiving keep at the rate of £15 per head per week (1st November to 31st March) and £5 per head per week (1st April to 31st October), claiming vets expenses, haulage both ways as well as the purchase price of the animal. OR

(b) Receiving one third of the purchase price from the vendor, plus vet fees in full and final settlement. COMPLAINTS MUST BE INTIMATED WITHIN EIGHT MONTHS OF THE DAY OF SALE.

BVD REGULATIONS

All Bovine animals are required to have a negative BVD status when sold through Auction Marts. Not Negative Herds will only be sold if individually tested to comply with regulations.

SPECIAL RULES FOR BUYERS/CUSTOMERS TO COVER COVID-19 REGULATIONS

This information is correct at time of printing and is subject to changes in Government Guidelines or Directives regarding the control of the spread of COVID-19.

• Please remember that purchaser spaces will be limited, so only ONE person per business/household/flock/social bubble will be allowed entry.

• No children under 16 years old will be able to attend the sales and this must be strictly adhered to as entry will be refused.

• Pregnant ladies must not attend the sale.

• 2m social distancing must be observed wherever possible.

• Viewing will be regulated by a one-way system throughout the mart and is to be permitted for registered buyers only. Please refer to individual sales for the respective Viewing days and times.

• Face coverings/masks are mandatory for all persons entering the market. These must be worn without exception while in the market including sale rings and pens.

• To facilitate the Test and Trace system, all customers/visitors will be required to sign into the market. This process will include declaration that they have not been in contact with anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19, nor are displaying symptoms personally.

• Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the market; however, it is strongly recommended that both consigners and buyers have adequate supply and to use it regularly.

• Please follow instructions from market staff and security staff. A private security firm will be in attendance to assist Lawrie & Symington Limited in ensuring social distancing is observed wherever possible.

• Strictly no private videoing/broadcasting on Social Media, or phones etc in the pens or rings.

• If you are unable or do not wish to attend the market but would like to bid on animal(s), then the auctioneers will faithfully execute commission bids for buyers. Please contact them and put your instructions in writing 48 hours in advance of the sale. Alternatively, you can arrange to make a telephone bid during the sale.
