Your opinion matters! The club is continually striving to improve and grow, and the board and management team is working hard to cultivate both short and long range plans for the club’s future, but we can’t do it without your help To make decisions that are in the best interest of the majority of the membership, we need to know what you think and how you utilize the club In the upcoming weeks you will receive a full survey that will cover everything from day-to-day operations to capital aspirations and the feedback we receive will guide us in the decision-making process Each spouse will receive their own individual link, we understand that even in the same household, you may each utilize the club in very different ways, so we encourage both spouses to submit their own survey

The Club has engaged GGA Partners (“GGA”) to assist with facilitating this survey In addition to questions related to satisfaction with the Club’s operations, there are several questions related to future facilities and capital planning at the Club Member feedback is an essential part of our future planning efforts, and we hope that you take the time to help shape the future of our Club.

It is estimated the survey will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. If you need to step away while completing the survey, your progress will be saved. While the survey functionality allows for submissions by smartphone and tablet, we suggest you complete the survey on a computer for a better user experience. It is important to note that both spouses will receive separate invitations to complete the survey.

Early in the week of July 27th, you will receive an email from GGA (mark lurette@ggapartners com) which will contain a personalized link to complete the survey The questionnaire is designed to permit only one submission per email address All responses will be sent directly to GGA and are confidential The Club will receive an aggregate summary of the results and findings

If you do not receive a survey by Wednesday July 29th, or are having difficulty locating your survey link, please be sure to check your spam / junk filters as occasionally messages can be redirected based on personal settings Should you require any assistance, please reach out to Mark Lurette at mark.lurette@ggapartners.com.

Summer is in full swing at Laurel Creek, and what an incredible season it has already been! From Summerfest and Member-Guest to afternoons at the pool and evenings on the patio, the club has been filled with laughter, great memories, and families enjoying everything Laurel Creek has to offer If you’ve noticed quite a few new faces around the club lately, you’re not imagining it! We were thrilled to welcome many new families this spring, and they’ve quickly become part of our Laurel Creek community If you see someone you don’t recognize, I hope you’ll take a moment to introduce yourself A simple hello is often all it takes to make a new member feel at home

Many of our newest members are here because of you Our Member Referral Program continues to be one of the most meaningful ways our club grows, and this year alone, 24 members have already earned a $1,000 referral credit by introducing friends, family members, neighbors, and colleagues to Laurel Creek.

Thank you for placing your trust in me. When you refer someone to the club, you’re introducing people who are important to you, and I never take that responsibility lightly. It means so much to know that you feel confident they’ll be welcomed, cared for, and guided through the membership process. If you know someone who would enjoy everything Laurel Creek has to offer, there’s still plenty of summer ahead for them to become part of our community

As families continue to enjoy another wonderful summer at the pool, I also wanted to highlight a membership benefit that many members may not know about. Our Nanny Pass is available for just $100 for the season and allows one designated nanny or babysitter to accompany your children to the pool without paying daily guest fees The pass is assigned to one individual, whose name is added to your membership account

If your family has welcomed a new nanny or caregiver this summer, simply stop by the Membership Office or send me an email, and I’ll be happy to get your Nanny Pass set up

Summer is one of the most exciting times of the year at Laurel Creek, and our Junior Golf & Tennis Academy has been off to a fantastic start! Over the next five weeks, more than 35 juniors will participate each week in a fun, engaging, and developmental program designed to help them build skills, confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of the game

Led by PGA Professionals John Appleget and Dave Quinn, our academy is truly a team effort From golf instruction and on-course learning, our entire staff takes great pride in creating an environment where every junior regardless of age or ability can learn, improve, and have fun

Whether your child is picking up a golf club for the very first time or working toward competitive junior, high school, collegiate, or even professional golf, our goal is to help each player reach the next stage of their journey while fostering a lifelong passion for the sport

The success of our junior program is already evident throughout the club. We'd like to extend a special congratulations to the Moorestown High School Girls Golf Team on winning back-toback New Jersey State Championships! Even more impressively, all five members of the team's starting lineup are Laurel Creek members a testament to the dedication of these young athletes, their families, their coaches, and the strong junior golf culture we continue to build together.

We couldn't be more proud of all of our junior golfers, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow both on and off the course The future is bright at Laurel Creek!

With our Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme, everyone truly dressed to impress, setting the tone for a fun, competitive, and memorable event. The 9-Hole Match League is wrapping up a strong season and currently sits in third place, just behind Ramblewood and Riverton The team showed tremendous spirit, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout the season, fostering great camaraderie both on and off the course

If you’ve spent any time at Laurel Creek over the past three decades, chances are you’ve shared a conversation, enjoyed a perfectly crafted cocktail, or simply been greeted with a warm smile from George Jones. This year, George celebrates an incredible milestone: 30 years behind the bar at Laurel Creek

Long before our beautiful pub, expanded patio, and bustling Bistro became the heart of the clubhouse, George was here He joined Laurel Creek after spending 10 years as Head Bartender at Ramblewood Country Club and another year at Tavistock Country Club, ready for a new opportunity While he never imagined that opportunity would become a 30-year career, he says the time has “flown by”

George still remembers his very first day. There was plenty to do, and the original bar was much smaller and more intimate than the vibrant gathering place members enjoy today Watching the clubhouse evolve over the years has been one of the most rewarding parts of his journey From the expanded bar and Bistro to the outdoor deck and patio, he’s seen Laurel Creek continually invest in creating spaces where members and families can gather together

In George’s eyes, that’s what has always made Laurel Creek special The club has never stopped looking ahead, always striving to improve while keeping its focus on what matters most: great food, great drinks, and great people

Perhaps the biggest change he’s witnessed hasn’t been the clubhouse itself, but the membership What began as a more traditional private club has transformed into the family-centered community we know today Over the years, George has had the privilege of watching children grow up, become adults, and in many cases, return as members with families of their own “It’s an absolute joy,” he says of serving multiple generations

Ask George what has kept him at Laurel Creek for 30 years, and his answer is refreshingly simple: “My wife ” That answer says a lot about the man behind the bar Family has always been at the center of his life Laurel Creek gave him the opportunity to build a career he loves while supporting his family, growing alongside the club, and simply being himself.

George is quick to credit others for Laurel Creek’s success. One of his favorite memories is working alongside so many talented employees over the years He especially looks forward to signature events like the Member-Guest and Member-Member tournaments, where he says the teamwork and dedication of the staff are truly remarkable.

Of course, the members have always been the heart of his job “I enjoy my conversations with members,” George says “I’ve always found them to be kind and gracious ”

After 30 years, those conversations have turned into lasting friendships. Members like Mike and Marylou Torpey have been familiar faces since the beginning, and countless others have shared life’s milestones with George over the years

When he’s not behind the bar, you’ll likely find him enjoying time on the water, tending his garden, or cooking for family and friends. And if you ask him the secret to being a great bartender, his answer is exactly what you’d expect from someone who has spent a lifetime serving others: make a good drink and enjoy people

Looking back, George says he’s most proud of helping Laurel Creek become the club it is today If he could give his younger self one piece of advice on that very first day, it would be simple: don’t be afraid to make changes

After three decades, George has become much more than Laurel Creek’s bartender. He’s been a familiar face, a trusted listener, a steady presence, and someone members know they can always count on

When asked what he hopes members think of when they think of George, his answer couldn’t be more fitting: “Good times, good drinks, a good listener, and reliable ” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves Congratulations, George, on 30 wonderful years Thank you for everything you’ve done to make Laurel Creek feel like home

We hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! Our 250th celebration at the pool was a blast! We were thrilled that Uncle Sam on stilts could join us on America's birthday. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed our $2.50 specials throughout the week in honor of the holiday. We're already looking forward to our next big pool party on Labor Day, and we've got a surprise for the kids that's sure to make a big splash.

Having the FIFA World Cup here in the U S , with some games right in Philadelphia, has been so exciting We've been showing matches throughout the property; just ask if there's a specific game you want to see Be sure to check with your server about World Cup specials available during every match at the pub, bistro, and pool Our club favorite "Water Hazard" cocktail is on special for $6, made with blue Powerade, an official World Cup sponsor.

Visiting other clubs around the country gives us great insight into new ideas and trends. Last October, I visited Hillwood Country Club outside Nashville the night after their annual sleepout on the course and spoke with staff and members who look forward to it every year I'm excited to announce our first-ever LCCC Camp Out! Join us on Aug 15 at the short-game practice area Tents go up starting at 5:30 p m , followed by dinner on the range We'll have s'mores, candy, and an outdoor movie for a fun family night. In the morning, a coffee station will be available at the campsite, and a full hot breakfast will be served in the clubhouse after you break down your tent. Spots are limited, so sign up as soon as reservations open

.Our monthly pop-up dinners in Blu are always something to look forward to as they give members a new fare to explore and are fun for our staff and kitchen, too We just had our vegetarian dinner, and Mediterranean night is coming up in a couple of weeks Since these dinners fill quickly, we may add a second night if an extensive waitlist develops The August pop-up will be a decadent seafood night on Wednesday, Aug 26 It will start with a raw bar happy hour and continue into a course-by-course seafood dinner,, a nice kickoff to the end of summer, which has been moving all too quickly

Keep an eye on the menu: Chef Pete will be updating items in the Pub and Bistro soon. For those spending lots of time at the pool this summer, expect to see new poolside items around the first week of August. Stay cool and enjoy the height of summer!

As we head into July and August, I'd like to start by congratulating all of our Ladies Interclub teams and our Pickleball Interclub team on fantastic seasons Thank you to everyone who competed, supported teammates, and represented Laurel Creek throughout the year Whether you were battling for points, supporting from the sidelines, or organizing lineups, your efforts helped make the season a success

Summer is now in full swing, and there is plenty happening around the club over the next two months

Our Junior Tennis Camp has been off to a great start, with campers enjoying plenty of tennis, games, and time on court each week Camp will continue through August 21st before wrapping up with our Junior Club Championships on Monday, August 24th. We look forward to seeing our juniors put their skills to the test and celebrate another successful summer season.

Speaking of club championships, the Men's and Women's Club Championships are just around the corner. The sign-up deadline is August 14th, so be sure to find a partner and register through the app. Whether you're playing to win or simply looking for some competitive fun, we encourage everyone to get involved

We have been pushing the greens hard the past couple of months, and based on feedback, the results have been appreciated by players. Of course, just when things appear to be running like clockwork, we get a curveball thrown at us

What is sometimes referred to as "Poa funk" appeared on several greens this past week

While this might have some of the same visual symptoms that you would see with a turf disease, the cause is actually environmental stress and often appears in areas with higher moisture levels

As you can see above, the aerification holes are green, and less likely to suffer from this funk

By dotting the margins lightly, we can easily compare how things are trending from day to day More often than not, when these spots appear, they do not grow in size. So we've got that going for us-which is nice.
