The February 2021 issue of the newsletter from the Oxfordshire village of Launton, is published in print and distributed to every household in the village, and online through issuu.com. This 48-page issue contains 3 pages of photos of a snow-bound Launton, and the front cover has a frost-covered field from earlier in the year.
There is a lengthy report from the Parish Council, outlining the basis for the 2021-22 budget and a response from Mulberry Homes (developers of the new housing to be called Launton Mews) to a range of queries from the Parish Council and the planners in Cherwell DC. There is update news on the closure of the bridge into the village for East West Rail work between 8 February and 1 April and of linked changes to the new bus service, and an up-to-date record of road closures. Victoria Prentis, our MP, provides her quarterly report, and there are ideas from village residents for distanced but sociable events for two February dates - St Valentine’s Day and Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day.
