Can you help to give a child a life-changing Latymer education? Help five more children experience a life-changing Latymer education We are so proud of our Latymer community! Over the past year, supporters helped to raise enough funds to enable us to offer bursaries to a record number of children. This takes us ever closer towards our dream of need-blind admission. We passionately believe that the only criteria for entry to Latymer should be academic performance and potential rather than the means to pay our fees. However, we have seen a huge increase in the number of bursary applications and we need your help now more than ever.

The education and support which I have had at Latymer has been truly exceptional, and more than anything I hope that more young people can have the opportunity to thrive here, regardless of class or income. We rely on gifts of all sizes to ensure that our doors remain open to children from all backgrounds.

The current challenging economic environment is likely to particularly impact bursary families, resulting in a greater need than ever for financial aid. You can join the hundreds of people donating to the Bursaries Appeal by making a one-off gift, or a regular gift
Provide a venue for an event free of charge or at a reduced rate
Use your knowledge, career or interests for an event such as a behind-the-scenes talk
Take part in a sponsored event Regular giving is hugely important to us as it allows us to plan with greater financial certainty. You can set up a regular gift from just £5 per month.

Bursary holders’ stories
Francesca (2021)
Marko (2022)
Francesca is currently studying Chemistry at Bristol University. She said that she was ‘able to do this because of the outstanding support I have received every step of my university application. A Latymer education, for me, is not just about academic excellence but about developing into well rounded individuals’.
Marko takes up his place at Cambridge University this autumn to study AngloSaxon Norse and Celtic, having received A*s in all his A levels. This interest began when he won the prize for academic achievement in Year 9. For his prize, Marko selected a book on Anglo-Saxon grammar as it was evident that Tolkien’s Dwarvish runes in “The Lord of The Rings” were based on Anglo-Saxon originals when he compared the two. Marko wrote that:
Attending the school, and all the experiences that come along with it, has had such a huge impact on who I am today. Latymer has set me up and given me the confidence to believe I can achieve whatever I set my mind to. I have made friends for life at this school and become the person I wanted to be. I owe the Latymer Foundation Bursary all of this.
Latymer’s greatest gift to me was the leisure to find my own way, and to so readily support me in following it when I had found it. It is thus my happiness to depart that most, perhaps, testifies to all I have been given while here: I know that I am where I was meant to be, and it is Latymer – it is you – that have helped me become so.
