Paving our Destiny for Progress Over a decade ago, a set of visionary Latino families and allies sought to establish Colorado’s first Latino foundation. Their dream was to create a culturally relevant philanthropic entity who could harness the talents, the resources, and the "ganas" to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the community. Since then, we have established a strong foundation for elevating our leadership, building strong Latino led organizations, and giving hope to communities. Additionally, we create opportunities for Latinos to engage in philanthropy and foster an environment where they see themselves as givers and investors in social change.
Who we are. The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) is a state-wide philanthropic foundation—led by Latinos, for Latinos. We pursue civic, economic, and cultural opportunities that advance a more authentic narrative about Latinos in the state, with the goal of cementing a healthy and vibrant future where all Latino Coloradans will prosper. As one of only six community philanthropic foundations in the United States exclusively dedicated to supporting the Latino community, the LCFC combats unfair systems and builds more just communities through education, innovation and advocacy that is informed by the values and knowledge of Latino communities.

One Legacy. is a $6 million base/$10 million goal community legacy endowment campaign comprised of four funds that help develop talent, elevate our nonprofits, help our communities prosper, and shape a strong Latino future. “Giving back to our community has been a family tradition for generations. We were taught to give of our time, share our talents and contribute monetarily when we can. It came down to making our community a better place so that everyone had an opportunity to get ahead. These values have guided our family and we will continue to pass them on for generations to come. Our Growth is Real. A Time for Transformation After 15 years, the LCFC has come into its own. We have built a strong foundation to do extraordinary things. We have earned your trust and will continue to work with partners, like you. We are investing in the community in ways that are culturally relevant to us! Now, with your help, we will elevate our Latino communities to new heights. In the next 20 years, one third of all Coloradans will be of Latino ancestry. We will comprise much of the student population, labor force, and talent that will be vital to Colorado's prosperity. We will hold a meaningful role in helping shape the next two decades for Latino nonprofits and leaders. The One Community. One Legacy. campaign honors our past, embraces our present, and positions us for a bright future for generations to come. Through the campaign, the LCFC will invest in Latino individuals and communities, lifting our collective strengths and cementing our presence well into the future. One Community. Pooled fund of unrestricted dollars that helps keep the LCFC fresh, innovative and improves the way Latinos live in Colorado.
Pooled fund for restricted investments that are targeted to: •Invest in great minds •Build innovative nonprofits •Support community problem solving
Funds in someone’s memory/honor or family name. Minimum $50,000, without time limitation, and tie back to the Vision or Legacy Fund.
Provides no/low interest loans from $10,000 to $250,000 to support strategic organizational investments that build wealth and local economic development opportunities.

Be Part of the Change. Whether it is your first time, or you have given to a campaign in the past, we know your decision to give is a thoughtful one, no matter the level you choose. Keep in mind the following, when making your gift decision: 1. Your gift is deeply meaningful and will make a difference. 2. Your gift is combined with others and invested prudently so that investment proceeds go back to the community year after year. 3. You are building a legacy for you and your family.
Making Your Gift There are multiple options to facilitate making your gift: Make a one-time donation. Make a multi-year pledge and pay overtime (up to 3-5 years depending on amount). Make your payment/s through any of the following: check, credit card, stocks, fixed assets (i.e. land), IRA distributions, charitable trusts or donor advised fund contributions. Your gift is eligible for a tax deduction.
Giving Levels Our giving levels and payment options are designed to make giving accessible. No matter the level, we are here to help you assess your options and the legacy you want to leave. We can also help you think through rolling in a planned gift as part of your contribution. Giving levels start at $1,000.
Employer Match Some employers will match gifts provided by their employees to a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization. LCFC is a qualified 501c3 nonprofit. Please inquire to find out if your employer provides such support. Contact us to learn how you can leverage an employer match.
Recognizing Your Legacy All gifts at or above $1,000 will receive recognition in print and online materials and will be included on a permanent Recognition Wall to be located at LCFC headquarter office. Donors can also choose to honor or remember a loved one. Named giving opportunities are available.
