• Sean Newman Jr. had his streak of 10+ assists broken, but the point guard still managed five dimes (24th time in 33 career games at LA Tech with 5+ assists) against SIU, giving him 50 for the season (second most in the country). He continues to lead the nation in assists per game with an average of 10.0. • Al Green came off the bench to score a season-high 19 points against SIU, his second game in double figures as a Bulldog. 2024-25 SCHEDULE

LOUISIANA TECH BULLDOGs (5-0)

• Daniel Batcho was held in check offensively by SIU but the CUSA Preseason Player of the Year still managed 16 points to go along with nine rebounds and a season-high four blocks. His field goal percentage dropped to 75.0 percent (missed eight field goals after missing just four the previous four games combined), which ranks fifth in the nation. He is averaging a team-best 21.4 points per game, 17th most in the country. • Talvin Hester enters his third season at the helm at LA Tech. In his second year, Hester was able to blend in seven newcomers in route to a 22-win season and a second-place finish in CUSA. He will be tasked with the same thing as seven newcomers join the 2024-25 squad, mixed in with six returners (five of which made a combined 67 starts last season). • LA Tech was picked to finish first in the Conference USA preseason poll, as voted on by the league head coaches. It was definitely not unanimous as five of the 10 conference teams picked up at least one first-place vote and the top three were separated by only four points. This marks the first time since 2014 that the Bulldogs are preseason league favorites.
