• Louisiana Tech closes out its weekend road swing on Saturday afternoon when they face UTSA at 3 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. The Bulldogs and Roadrunners faced off in Ruston 30 days ago. • After controlling much of the first half, Louisiana Tech was outscored by 11 in the second half, which contributed to a 65-59 loss to UAB in Birmingham on Thursday. LA Tech had an eight-point lead with 18 minutes to go in in the game, but UAB took the lead back for good at the 11-minute mark.

• LA Tech’s offensive struggles continued for a second straight game. The Bulldogs shot just 33.9 percent from the field at UAB, their second lowest shooting percentage DECEMBER of the season. This came on the heels of a 38.8 percent shooting effort against Middle 2 SOUTHERN ESPN+ W 74-59 Tennessee in the game prior. LA Tech is shooting 36.0 percent (40-of-101) in the two 10 at Wyoming MWN L 65-92 games combined (only second time since 2019 with back-to-back games of shooting 14 STEPHEN F. AUSTIN ESPNU L 79-80OT under 40 percent). • Cobe Williams continued his scoring efforts against UAB, recording a game-high 21 points. It marked his fourth straight game of scoring 20+ points, the first Bulldog to do so since Kyle Gibson (2009). It was his ninth 20-point scoring performance of the seaJANUARY son, the fourth most in C-USA and tied for the fifth most by a Bulldog in the last decade. • The Big Three of Cobe Williams (19.7), Keaston Willis (13.0), and Isaiah Crawford (11.9) have accounted for 64 percent of the Bulldogs scoring in C-USA action. All three rank in the top 16 in scoring during league play only, making LA Tech the only team in the league with three players in the top 20.

• The Bulldogs are in the midst of playing four of five league games away from home. So far, they are 1-4 in conference road games with the lone victory coming in an 88-82 overtime win at Rice on Jan. 5. Their three road losses to UTEP, Charlotte, North Texas, FEBRUARY and UAB in league play have been by a combined 15 points. • LA Tech has been able to have the upperhand against UTSA as of late. The Bulldogs have won five straight, matching their longest winning streak in the series. All five victories have been by double-digit points (average scoring margin of 17.8).
