Welcome to the latest issue of SEKO World, the bimonthly SEKO newsletter that takes you inside the SEKO business with a summary of our latest global activities. ICLE coin-op laundry expo 2023
SEKO was this month present at the International Coin-Operated Laundry Expo (ICLE) 2023 – the only trade show of its kind in Japan – with industry professionals gathering to discover the latest innovations and make new connections. SEKO showcased a range of detergent dosing and control solutions at ICLE, including examples from our IoT-enabled Wash Series systems which connect the operator to their equipment 24/7 via our unique SekoWeb portal for unrivalled access to data and equipment status. Meanwhile, visitors discovered LS100, our latest laundry innovation which uses venturi-powered dosing and Bluetooth connectivity as part of an efficient, cost-effective and sustainable on-premise laundry operation. The two-day show was attended by members of SEKO Japan’s sales team, who spent time with existing and potential customers to recommend solutions to their most common challenges including meeting sustainability targets while minimising costs. SEKO presents to technicians from across the UK
SEKO UK’s Sales Manager Mark Lester and Technical Manager Michael Tanner met with cleaning and hygiene equipment installers from around the UK this month to present our latest chemical dosing innovations. The meeting saw Mr Tanner explain the benefits of SEKO’s warewash dosing systems which now include IoT-empowered models for 24/7 remote monitoring and management via smartphone. Mr Tanner went on to present solutions for commercial, industrial and on-premise laundry dosing including the new LS100 system, which uses venturi cartridges to draw detergent and other chemicals. This high-precision, low-maintenance functionality is complemented by compatibility with the SekoBlue Bluetooth app which ensures smartphone connectivity even where there’s no Wi-Fi, one of the many reasons SEKO has seen unprecedented demand for a unit that launched little over a month ago. These sessions are an invaluable opportunity for professional equipment installers to familiarise themselves with SEKO’s latest laundry solutions and meet face to face with a technical expert. It’s all part of our comprehensive service offering that sees customers supported from the initial enquiry through to dedicated after-sales service.

As part of our philosophy of building and maintaining long-term business relationships, we’re proud to welcome partners to our headquarters in Rieti, Italy, where we discuss their challenges and work alongside them to identify the ideal chemical dosing solutions for their processes. This was certainly the case when SEKO Iberica Business Development Manager Antero Lara hosted a client at our founding office and factory complex as part of a comprehensive review of their requirements. As well as discussing the client’s spare parts needs, Mr Lara proposed a range of existing and newly released products to help them meet their targets in the months and years ahead. This visit was also a perfect opportunity for our partner to immerse themselves in the heart of the SEKO business, spending time exploring our world-class manufacturing facilities and seeing their systems in production. Textile care specialists discover SEKO laundry solutions
SEKO Regional Sales Manager Domenico Antico, along with members of the SEKO Germany team, was this month invited to present at the annual sales conference of a local chemical partner specialising in textile care. Mr Antico and his colleagues delivered presentations that introduced the SEKO company profile before going on to explain the multiple benefits of SEKO’s ever-growing laundry dosing range. Attendees learnt about the groundbreaking Wash Series range, which offers peristaltic, solenoid and pneumaticdriven dosing for every kind of laundry installation from single-washer on-premise facilities to the largest industrial sites. Mr Antico explained the technology behind these systems and how it drives the precise, consistent and reliable dosing of detergent, fabric softener and other chemicals that the systems are known for. This was followed by a section detailing SEKO’s integration of IoT technology into the Wash Series, which allows round-the-clock monitoring and management via smart device, PC or laptop from any location. WareDose Kompact and Water-Driven Pumps
Two of SEKO’s standout products in 2023 have been the WareDose Kompact range and our Water-Driven Pumps series for cleaning and hygiene and water-treatment applications respectively. SEKO Benelux Sales Manager Marcel Olthuis recently visited a local school’s careers event, where he presented the SEKO company and the dosing pumps industry to young people considering their futures after education.
Mr Olthuis, used to conversations with technicians, buyers and business owners, enjoyed speaking to a new audience and was fascinated to hear from the school’s pupils about what they want from their careers in a changing world.
