Guardian Checking (GC) accounts now feature auto enrollment of privacy and ID-theft protection services for both sworn and nonsworn members. This affects NEW ACCOUNTS only, and will expedite service enrollment emails.
DATES:
Privacy and ID-theft protection service auto enrollment will begin immediately for Guardian Checking accounts.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: • IronWall360 Privacy Protection Service enrollment emails will be sent to sworn personnel immediately once a new account is opened. o Members must register for the data protection service to activate it. o PLEASE NOTE: We recently transitioned to IronWall360, which provides a few extra advantages for members. Services are extended free to family members who live in the household. Members can now access information on a portal dashboard, which includes updates, reports, and confirmation of data removal. • SONTIQ Enhanced ID Protection Services enrollment email will be sent to non-sworn personnel within 24 hours of account approval. o Members must verify their identity and update their dashboard preferences to receive full ID-theft protection services. o Members also receive alerts for: one-bureau credit monitoring, financial accounts and transactions, and other security issues. Note: EXISTING member accounts migrating to the Guardian Checking account will be processed within 24 business hours of minor code change in DNA. SONTIQ SERVICE ENHANCEMENT Active/retired non-sworn (civilian) members must now check a “Consent” box when selecting the Guardian Checking Account and certifying their qualifying employment. Actions alerts will no longer be needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS UPDATED Q: Which members are eligible for these services? A: ALL members who are active/retired sworn or non-sworn law enforcement personnel are eligible for services at account opening or migration. They have a 60-day grace period to satisfy the requirements. Q: What is required to maintain these services? A: To qualify for free ID-protection services with their Guardian Checking Account, members must: • Be an active-duty or retired sworn or non-sworn law enforcement professional • Make a $500 minimum monthly direct deposit or ACH credit into their Guardian Checking Account • Opt-in to e-Statements and e-Disclosures Q: What if a member does not satisfy the requirements? A: After the 60-day grace period, we will notify members via email that their service is at risk of termination, and specify which requirement(s) are not being met. We will offer them assistance to help retain the service. If requirements are still not met within 30 days, we will instruct the vendor (IronWall360 or Sontiq) to discontinue services. Q: Are members able to re-establish services if they satisfy the requirements? A: Yes. A member can re-establish services if they meet all requirements. Q: How will I know if a member is currently enrolled in these services? A: A member with a Guardian Checking Account who has enrolled in privacy and ID-theft protection services can be identified via User-defined Fields in DNA. The fields display the service they are using and the date they enrolled.
