A coalition of campaign groups is calling for controls on SUVs

are crowding out space in towns and cities, warns a coalition of environmental, air quality and road safety groups. The SUV Alliance – which brings together organisations such as Clean Cities, AdFree Cities and Mums for Lungs – says oversized cars increase road wear while reducing the space available for children, pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users.
