To build better communities, we’ve teamed up with two local non-profits: Dream Makers and the Veterans Community Project of Longmont. For every home we sell, we donate a portion of each sale to both organizations, helping provide stable housing for veterans and young adults who have aged out of foster care.
The Veterans Community Project (VCP), founded in Kansas City, MO, by veterans, aims to end homelessness among their fellows. Any veteran can get help at the Outreach Center. VCP provides:
• Help with state and federal benefits
• Assistance with VA benefits
• Snack bags, hygiene kits, and food boxes
• Emergency financial aid
• Links to services like mental and physical health, job services, and legal aid
• Housing support or a place at VCP Village
Over 23,000 teenagers age out of foster care each year, often facing adulthood alone. Since 2015, Dream Makers has been helping these young adults by:
• Giving Them a Chance to Dream: We connect and empower lives, helping each youth aim for a better future.
• Being a Pillar of Support: We meet their material and emotional needs as they transition to independence.
